Can you do this twice in one transaction or do you have to separate it to get 2 – $3 RR?

Reply

Christie December 12, 2010 at 6:01 pm

Judy – You’d need to do 2 transactions to get 2 RR.

Monica – Yes, it’s good till March and many stores still have it. I would ask at cosmetics about it. They may not have it out.

I tried this today and they did not ring up B1G1 50%off. 🙁 Sad, I really wanted this deal.

Ok, let’s make it even more complicated to make sure that as many customers as possible just give up somewhere between the “only one coupon per item, wags coupons don’t count, amount BEFORE any mfr. coupons, after wag’s coupons but before jingle $’s……………” I am teetering on throwing in the towel completely on Wags.

I’m with you Patti, SO frustrating!

@ Patti & Tammy – I’m with you! My current frustration with Wags and CVS is not having sale items marked. Went into both stores today and had to flip thru the add to remember what the exact sale item is. Ended up not getting a few items because they weren’t marked and couldn’t find them. Then the items that were markedhad the wrong product sitting in front of it. It’s like the stores are discouraging sales.

I have $3 RR left to spend and I’m seriously done with Wags. All this headache over free stuff? It’s seriously not worth it anymore.

Btw, when I bought the Olay BW, it didn’t have “BGLP”, so this awesome deal isn’t going to work for me. ):

Ok, I see something here…now OUR body lotion is 20.something oz, the one on your receipt is for an 8+ oz size! That is why you have the $8.99 listed, but it rings up $4.99 on your receipt, right? There were NO smaller sizes in our body lotion, and neither rang up for 50% off, even though I got the quench. Mine was $8.99 lotion, $6.99 body wash (sale price). I used the BWashGLotionFree (up to $7) and $2/1 coupon from cosmetics for the wash. Cost was $1.99 for the lotion, $4.99 for the wash and I got back a $3 RR. Cost was about $4 for both. A good deal, but not near as good as I hoped. It did help me get to $25 for the Super Cash, which did print. I made sure my total was over $25 AFTER all wags coupons and any SUPER Cash..and then used jingle RR and manufacturer coupons to lower my total to less than $5. I used more RR than I wanted too, but was glad for another good deal. Just more work! 🙂 Thanks for posting all the info, it really helps us all!

I’m confused by your receipt. Are you not using the RR from Activ-on joint to buy the rest as per your scenarios? Or do we have to fork out cash up front?

I have $15 jingle cash from last week & wonder if I use them to buy these items, will the RR print?

Thanks!

Joy – The scenario I wrote was for someone who was staring out with little or no Register Rewards. I have quite a few expiring this week so I have to do larger transactions to roll the expiring ones than the one I wrote out for everyone.

Thanks for the fast reply Christie! I just found your blog like 2 days ago & can’t wait to try out some parts of your scenarios (due to lack of coupons, etc).

I tried this deal this afternoon and although my receipt product details look just like Christy’s for the bodywash….the bodywash did not ring up at 50% off. It rang at 6.99 and never took the $3.49 off at the bottom. The lotion has the BGLP code beside it on my receipt but not the bodywash.

Thanks for posting this! It worked in Columbus, OH! I purchased a 8.4oz “Ultra Moisture Lotion with Shea Butter” (4.99) and a 15.2 “Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash” (6.99)

There was only one person out on the floor, so I didn’t ask about the Olay $2/1 coupon, but it rang up with the $4.99 off plus $2.49 off and gave me $3 RR! I purchased some hair ties and 19 cent Mars candy then used some RR from last week. My total was $1.06. The cashier looked at me and said “Wow! Not too bad for all this stuff!” Then when $5 RR printed out, I think he was stunned! I love trips like this! MyCouponHunter.com is who I got all my BOGO Olay Q’s from.

Bethany – You’ll have to give me the scoop. I’m going to be in Columbus later this month and need to know where to shop! 🙂

I am printing the rebate and was reading the requirements. I need to add the upc for each ummm secret trial size have a upc I can pull off? Also my cleanser will have to be used up to cut off the upc. Am I missing something. Do u need to send the receipts?

Antoinette December 13, 2010 at 10:49 pm

For the rebate…what if i have more than 8 items that i need to write down to total $50? Do the receipts have to be dated from a certain time to a certain time?

What does BGLP mean? I have been stumped trying to figure this one out all day and can’t so please tell me so I can get some peace 🙂
Thanks!

@ Maria P

I think the BGLP stands for Buy one Get item at a Lesser Price (usually 50% off). And it usually applies to the same brand ( Covergirl products for example this week are Buy One get the second 50% off of equal or lesser value) HTH.

@ rachel
The rebate requires you to write out each UPC on the form. You do not have to send in the actual UPC. You do have to send in each original receipt as well.

@ Antoinette
Just list the extra items on the back of the rebate form. I have done it in the past and they accepted it. The receipts must be dated from 11/23/10-12/31/10 and the rebate must be postmarked by 1/14/11.

Antoinette,

When I did the Olay/secret rebate last time, i had more items than spaces as well. So I called, and the customer service rep just said to put the other upc codes above and below the spaces for the 8 upc codes. It worked because I received my rebate with no hassles or delays. The rebates usually state that you need to send inthe receipts with the purchase price circled, but not the upc codes.

Definitely! I’ve had great success with couponing in Columbus! Every Target cashier I’ve encountered just push coupons through and our 2 major grocery stores (Kroger and Giant Eagle) double coupons up to 99 cents!
