Mentos Gum Coupons = FREE at Walgreens!

by Christie Bisbee on April 5, 2012

Woo Hoo! You can get FREE Mentos Up2U gum at Walgreens right now. I love FREE gum! Although there was no sign at my store, these are ringing up at .99 each. You can stack two gum coupons to get these free. If you buy just the (2) packs of gum the coupon will need to be adjusted, or you can buy them with something else to absorb the penny.

Walgreens Deal
Buy (2) Mentos Up2U Gum $0.99 each
Total = $1.98
$1/2 Mentos Up2U Packs, exp. 5/25/12 (SS 03/25/12)
$1/2 Mentos Gum 14 to 50 Pieces (5411) Walgreens Coupon
= FREE! 🙂

If you only want gum and want to avoid a beep you can always do this…

Buy (5) Mentos Up2U Gum $0.99 each
Total = $4.95
(2) $1/2 Mentos Up2U Packs, exp. 5/25/12 (SS 03/25/12)
(1) $1/2 Mentos Gum 14 to 50 Pieces (5411) Walgreens Coupon (Should Take off $2.50)
= .09 EACH

(Thanks so much Cathy! :-))

Where did you get the wags coupon, is it in the coupon book?

It’s not in my coupon book…it was in the March coupon book…did it have an extended expiration date? I’m confused 🙁

Its in the April book on page 5. The picture shows the other type of Mentos gum but the Up2U gum is also Mentos (see right about the Up2U logo in the picture above?).

@Lindsay you can print this coupon from the Walgreens website. Search coupons and it’s under the food category.

I wonder if they will let us use the coupon in the April booklet since the picture is different????

It scans just fine. I bought them before I posted, to make sure.

If you have a difficult cashier I would remind him or her that there isn’t room to put every kind of gum Mentos makes on the coupon and that it fits the written description.

Thanks so much!

Is it only that one flavor that’s .99?

Reply

Cathy April 5, 2012 at 6:34 pm

All of the flavors were the same price at our Walgreens.

Does it matter if they take off the Walgreens Q or the manufacturing Q first?

Maria April 5, 2012 at 2:44 pm

FYI The 15 bottle of mentos are also .99 so you can use the .55 off 1 coupon and the wags coupon.

only one flavor was .99 at my store so be careful …i messed up my transaction cuz the pink bottle was scanning 1.99..

Which coupon do you give them first?

I’ve done this type of deal plenty of times before with no problems. – Today my regular (coupon friendly) cashier said that the wording on the Walgreens book coupon is that it is a manufacturer promotion and it won’t take off both coupons.

She’s wrong. 🙁 Show her the Zantac in her own ad ad for this week. It flat out says to use both.

i used both today…the walgreen coupon automatically took off $3 cuz i had 6

I did this deal today and had alot of problems it wouldnt take both coupons and the cashier had to adjust down the coupons and she wasnt too happy about having to mess with it. I was in line for a while as she tried to figure out how to get the register to take both coupons but she got it finally just had to pay tax. I love my Walgreens!!

I just went and tried to do this at my Wal-greens in Maryville, Mo and it didnt work. The cashier didnt even know what I was talking about when I said to adjust the coupon. I’ll try again another day because the 99 cent price is good through the end of the month.

Same here. I had used the Up 2 you coupons and the $.55 coupons. Bought 18 total ( I had 6 inserts) and paid only tax, but had a beep fest and had to adjust down the coupons even though I had other stuff in the order. My Walgreens has the “new” cash registers and they have been nothing but problems. I think for these type of transactions I will drive to the nearby Wags with the “old” registers that do not give the beeps and will give the overage!

I did this deal at my Walgreens tonight and the register was NOT cooperating at all. I bought 6 of the UP2U and 6 of the 15pk bottles, used 3 $1/2 UP2U MQs, and 6 $.55 for the bottles. It was a mess. Beep Beep BEEEEPP! The manager had to come over and it took like 20 minutes to work it all out. Based on what was happening, I think that the $1/2 is attaching to more than 2 items. And I always wait to scan the Walgreens coupons until last, so it was not because of overage or whatever. I had other items in the transaction for the overage, so after all the MQ’s finally went through, the Wags Q was no problem at all.

I have old registers and had no problems buying it I got one extra gum like the second transaction so just paid a few cents each gum but no beeping for me.
