Can I use the $5RR from Gillette Razor deal to pay for Tide Detergent? I remember reading that you can purchase P&G product with a P&G RR as long as it’s not for the same deal but I am not certain if I got it right.

Also, for the Old Spice B1g1 50% off Deal, can I do this
Buy 1 OS Deo- $4.99
1 OS Body Wash- $4.49 (less 50%)
————————
$7.24
Use B1 Deo Get BW Free Q 6/05 PG
-$4.49
————————-
$2.75
Use $1 wyb 2 OS pdt Q 6/05 PG
—————
$1.75 or $87 ea

Will this work? Thanks in advance!

The $1/2 attaches to both products so you cannot use another MQ if you are only buying 2. You should be able to buy 4 and use 2 free BW when you buy deo and 1 $1/2.

Tried that today with the crest mouthwash, purchased yesterday with a cup, got $1 in bucks back, went today and purchased another, tried to use the $1 from yesterday, would not accept it.

one qpon per product unless the qpon saids it for a certain amount of items so your dollar off of two old spice products counts for two items and ur free body wash counts for one item so in order for ur transaction to work you would need 3 items to use both qpons together…now if you had another by one get one qpon you could get 2 deo 2 bodywashes use the 2 bogo free qpons and the 1 off 2 plus u would get two products 1/2 off…which equals one product so it pretty much comes to by 1 product (less ur dollar off qpon) get three products free…i stock up on old spice every month like this

Thank you! I do have more of the B1 deo get 1 BW free and will def stock up!

Will they give you full price take off for the 50% off
product or 50% take off.

I believe you can use the $5RR from Gillette to pay for your Tide, but if you are planning on using a Manufacturer Coupon for the Tide, then you would need a cheap “filler”, for example: a candy bar that is on sale or one of their Royal brand jellos… check the ad in the AM for this.

For the Old Spice or any kind of B1G1 50% off, you pay for the most expensive item first/full price. It depends how Walgreen’s would ring this up. I am sure you can use use your Buy One Deodorant GET a BW free coupon from PG 6/5, but I used mine last week at Rite Aid because the OS deodorants were on sale 2/$5.

Are the Walgreens sales a little lackluster these few weeks, or is it just me?

Reply

MaybeJustOneMore July 2, 2011 at 8:18 pm

Yeah Kiapita, I was thinking the same.
Also where the heck are the male enhancement products located?? I don’t mind buying them but I sure as heck don’t want to ask for them!!!

I had a store manager at a Walgreens reject the use of a manufacture’s coupon; I got from a newspaper insert along with a Walgreens coupon from the monthly ‘Savings Book’. The coupon from the Savings Book that stated in fine print ‘Manufactures coupon only good at Walgreen’s. However, I see matchups that combine these same two types of coupons….I am confused. How are coupons from Walgreen’s monthly ‘Savings Book’ combined with manufactures coupons?

Reply

Guest July 3, 2011 at 1:53 am

The coupons in the book do say manufacturer coupon, but they aren’t. If at all possible, try having them scan the manufacturer coupon before the coupon book coupon to prevent a beep!

I have scoured my inserts from 6/26 but cant seem to find a mitchum one anywhere. I am in vancouver, WA. sad – mitchum is my favorite!

If you were only buying one item that may have been the issue. I couldn’t use a rr today because a July Walgreens book q I used counted in my coupon count and the register said I had reached my allowed q count. I had my transaction planned in advance and didn’t count this q in my count.

Reply

Guest July 3, 2011 at 2:22 pm

Those never ever count in your coupon totals.
Here’s what could have went wrong:
The coupon beeped for some reason (coding error, wrong item, etc) and the cashier manually typed it in as a manufacturer coupon instead of adjusting the price of the item.
You had a coupon that was b1g1 that was actually coded for both items or a $$ off 2 item that was coded for both items.

Gary July 4, 2011 at 4:45 pm

I was confused on the issue too after reading the coupons in the savings book and seeing that they do say “manufacturers coupon good only at walgreens”. I wanted to do the tylenol precise free deal. I called walgreens customer service number at 1800-WALGREENS and was informed that the coupons from the savings book cannot be combined with any other offer, and thusly I could not use a manufacturers coupon with one of these savings book coupons. I am going to try it anyway and see how it works, cause some people seem to have no trouble with it.

Gary – Beyond that Walgreens is constantly advertising – stack coupons from the monthly book with REAL MQ. You can see just a few examples…

Thanks for the info christie 🙂 I went and got 2 of the tylenol pain relieving patches and used both coupons on each so they were free. The cashier did not say anything to me. I did hand him the printed manufacturers coupons first and then the ones from the july book. I also got 4 of the oral-b indicator toothbrushes for 2/$2 and used two coupons from the 7/3 p&g to make them free too. The great thing is I get 8 papers every week, so I have 6 more of these oral-B coupons to use. I can get 16 FREE toothbrushes this week! A lifetime supply (well not exactly, but close). I am new to couponing and still learning how to save, but now I will never look back!

I went to Walgreens to purchase the free Oral indicator tooth brushes. I went there on Sunday at 830am. There was nobody in the store. There were no toothbrushes left!! I do not believe that Walgreens could have sold out of this toothbrush that fast. I always have problems finding things in stock!

Christie July 3, 2011 at 3:17 pm

Julie – I would seriously call corporate and complain. Tell them you want a call back from a district manager.

Sometimes there are items that are in short supply but I don’t think that’s the case here.

Amber July 3, 2011 at 6:26 pm

Just go to Walmart and have them price match it. I am sure Walmart will have enough. I have shelf cleaners in my area and they show up at 11:30pm the night before to clear the shelf so I always have to find other ways to get my Walgreens deals.

Reply

Deanna July 3, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Also check around behind other items. One of my Wags gals told me they caught people going in there on Saturday night and hiding the RR products so they could come in on Sunday and get them….

Be sure to check the 2-day sale on bottled water. It’s supposed to be for some generic water at $1.99/case. My store did not have the generic water and was substituting Daisani! That’s a $4 savings bacause Daisani usually rings up at $5.99!

Can you buy more then 1 of the Tylenol Precise in a transaction

Reply

Stacy July 3, 2011 at 8:07 pm

Yes you can – I bought 2 in one transaction last week. The Walgreens coupon from the July book also doubles accordingly (and automatically). My transaction looked like this:

Buy 2 Tylenol Precise – 7.99 x 2
– 2 $5 printable coupons
– 2 $3 Wags coupons
= FREE!

🙂 🙂

Question regarding the Gillete/ Venus deal. If I got two razors (= $20) would I get two RR’s since there is a $5 RR for buying one and a $5RR for spending $20?

Reply

Carmen July 4, 2011 at 3:13 pm

I noticed WAGS had scott naturals paper towels for 5 bucks. When I went in this morning to get 4 of the indicator toothbrushes (free), the catalina machine spit out a 2.50/1 scott naturals paper towle coupon. 2.50 for a pack of 6 is a good deal, right?

I just wanted to remind a few people about RAIN CHECKS! Most stores will do them. I’m pretty sure that walgreens does still, although I haven’t had to ask them for one in a long time. It never hurts to ask though. I get them at the local grocery store alot.
