Quick question, but I wasn’t sure where to post. My Walgreens is having a grand opening for a Minute Clinic on Tuesday. The sign outside said they will be having giveaways. Has anyone every gone to one of these grand openings? I’m wondering if its worth checking out.

I need to mention that the Walgreen spring beauty book and manufacturers coupons of almay will not work on one product. This is because the spring beauty book is considered to be manufacturers coupons, and we all know you cant double manufacturers coupons on a single product at Walgreen. So as a heads up, it wont work due to that fact. This is what i was told when i tried. 🙂
Mary – it worked for thousands of us during the sale last week. I went to probably 8 stores. It only did not work when it wasn’t programmed into their system, in which case it also didn’t work when used alone.
Living in FL we go through so much sunscreen in the summer! What is the rock-bottom price I should be looking for? I’ve noticed deals coming out at Wags and Publix and want to make sure to stock up at the best price. Oh, and I use it mainly on my kids so I’ll need something kid-friendly 🙂

The main thing I would make sure is that the sunscreen (especially for kids, and in particular, boys) does NOT have is oxybenzone. That is a very controversial ingredient, and it also appears to act as an estrogen in the body. The EWG (Environmental Working Group) says to avoid oxybenzone at all costs. I personally prefer to stick with physical (rather than chemical sunscreens)…so look for zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
