Have you done either of these scenarios or ones similar? The coupon says before tax and after coupons, so how does it work to put in that coupon first and then the others? Is it tricking the register?

Got $5 off $20 yesterday and what i did this morning was:

3 Eucerin Hand cream – $5.49 (16.47)
1 Colgate mouthwash – $5.99
Total Before manufacturer q was – $22.46
– $5 off 20
– $6 ($2 off eucerin) and $2 (colgate)
= $9.46 (only got $3 back from colgate)

this is my first time to use this walgreens coupon and i went to the manager and ask her why did it didnt print and she checked my receipt and saw i spent $15 for eucerin just force printed the $8 for eucerin. i still dont get the rules on how to spend this $5/20 or $2/10. also after my transaction, i got another $2/10 til 7/31. so does it mean i have to spend $20 after manufacturer qs?

wanted to use it for the purelife vitamins the $2 /10 plus with $5 peelie for moneymaker but not sure if ill be getting points back.

I had the same issue today with the $8 RR not printing. I think after talking with the WAGS employees that since the $5/$20 is a store coupon using it on a threshold offer like the Eucerin (buy $15 get $8.00) it takes off the $5. from the threshold amount acting as if the Eucerin didn’t meet the threshold of $15. Now I’m not saying it should do this but I have had other issues with threshold offers and not getting the RR when using a $/$$ store coupon.

Its after Walgreens coupons, not manufacturer’s coupons.

i got
1 reach double pack 2,99
1 colgate rinse 5.99
4 u kotex 1.99 (after wags coupon in book)
1 box of mozerella sticks (kids wanted some) 2.99
1 folder 10 cents
total $20.03
used $5/$20
$2.00 off reach
2 $2/2 u kotex
$2 off colgate
and a 5RR from the DiGorino pizza I bought yesterday.
total was $2.03 and I got back 2RR and 3RR.
not a money maker…..but I don’t need the glucose monitor

then i bought 2 more folders in separate transactions so I could get 2 more $5/$20 to use tomorrow. 🙂

When u use the coupons from the walgreens book do you factor in the dollar amount before you use the 5 off 20 coupon.

Didn’t get the points for the Accu check today. Does anyone have the right number to call to get my points? Just thought I’d ask before getting the run around as I figure it out.
Thanks!

Don’t know where to ask this question: I want to buy the herbal essences shampoo/conditioner this week, but it involves earning balance rewards. Can I buy two, get the 1000 BR points, and then in another transaction buy another two and still get another 1000 BR points??

It doesn’t say anywhere on the walgreens website.

Yes you can. When I am earning points I purchase everything in one transaction and get all the points at once; so can you can purchase 4 at one time and your receipt will show 2,000 points hth.

I was told you can not receive any RR in the same transaction as a stock up coupon I tried to use mine for the diapers and dawn dish soap . they told me it will no longer print RR with any stock up coupon. they had to re-ring my whole transaction.

Hi Teresa – no you can. The issue is when you have to hit a certain $ threshold. So if the deal is buy (1) get a RR you are fine. It’s when it’s a buy $$$$ and get RR. The stock up coupon counts against the total you have to pay and can take you below the threshold if you aren’t careful.

Anyone having trouble with the $5/20 and either the Herbal Essence coupons or the Hot Pockets coupons? With both of those coupons you get an item for free, but instead of taking $2.99 off for the Herbal or $2.50 for the Hot Pockets it did this:

Herbal coupon took off $2.31 the first time instead of $2.99, second time it took off $2.25 and the third time it took off $2.28. Anyone have any idea as to why it did this? And why it wasn’t the same each time? On the Hot Pockets my first transaction it took off $1.91 and the second it took off $1.88 instead of the $2.50 it should have taken off. The manager said she didn’t know why it did that but didn’t bother to fix anything. So frustrating because I ended up spending much more than I had planned.

Also had trouble getting the $5 RR for the Hot Pockets and Coffee Mate. It wasn’t because I didn’t meet the threshold (I got 6 hp and 4 cm = $21) but because the coffee mate is dairy, I had to get an additional $6 in items to be able to use the $5/20. It was actually $5/26! The manager went back and did all hot pockets without the coffee mate and it printed. I really hate when I have such a hard time with things. Gets me frustrated and causes me to miss things!

Oh and all of the Reach coupons had to be put in manually too.

I had the exact same problems Sharell! The first time I went I tried to do the Procter and Gamble deal, my total was 30.74 after MQs and because I used the 5/20 Q it didn’t give me the RR. And my herbal essence Qs rang up at 2.25 and 2.24 as well. I always have problems with these 5/20 Qs. The herbal essences are also on sale at CVS 2 for 5 with 1 ECB if you have any Qs left

I needed toilet paper and paper towels something awful and was just waiting for a good deal, and with the $5/$20 coupons I got on Sunday, I found it!

The Sunny Smile TP (12 roll) and PT (8 roll) are both 3.99 with a $1 coupon in the August book. I did 2 transactions, each with 7 packages and paid 15.93 plus tax for each transaction, or 2.27 for each package. That’s .18/roll of TP and .28/roll for PT – not my favorite brand, but not bad prices to stock up at!

I had two of the $5/$20 catalinas so I was able to snag 2 Pure Life vitamins (on sale for $14.99) and some small misc. items for free. I got 20,000 BR for the vitamins and used 2 $5 peelies that were on them making them free essentially. The $5/$20 catalina ended up paying for the rest of my items excluding tax as the $20 had to be reached before tax. Good day at Walgreens today!
