I got that too.. just wondering if that total is before or after coupons

its after all walgreens coupons have been applied, then the balance before manuf coupons is what will count for the bonus (that’s what the BA told me)

Is it all customers or just the ones who recieve the text?

It’s for all. It’s on the front page of the ad!

if you pay with register rewards does that bring down your total where you won’t get as many points

I don’t understand this (1) $1/2 Velveeta or Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinners (Walgreens, May) it’s April at the moment so…. is it a Walgreens coupon book from last year?

No, the May book starts today. It always starts on a Sunday. 🙂

Christie (or anyone that might know),
If an item is on clearance and there is a coupon on the monthly booklet, shouldn’t we be able to use it. I bought several items– Neutrogena bronzer clearance for $3.37 with a book coupon for $3 for face cosmetics is an example– and the coupon scanned as STR IVC, but didn’t deduct anything. I was in a hurry and didn’t pay attention until I got home. I didn’t use a mfg coupon on top of that. Don’t see where it says excludes clearance (like CVS). Just wondering so I don’t waste my time. Thanks for all YOUR work.

Hi Marsha – it really depends, it can be hit or miss with the clearance items and the coupons from the monthly book or any other Walgreens coupons (like in the ad). Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. So occasionally they have to put them in manually.

Thanks. I think I will just take the items back.

Marsha, are you sure the IVC didn’t take? Add up what you think your total should be and see if it is correct.
I have noticed just this past week that, at my store at least, the IVCs don’t appear on the receipt, and it looks like I paid the full price, but when you add up what your total should be, the store IVC is in fact included somehow.
This just recently changed, and my cashier and I were talking about how weird it is.
For instance today, I bought the Walgreen batteries that are BOGO @ $3.99; however, I also used a store IVC for 99 cents. Nowhere on my receipt can you tell that I used the IVC, and in fact it says:
batteries $3.99
batteries 0.00
but my subtotal was only 95 cents ( I got a few cents overage from Almay,) so I know that it had to have been accepted.

You can’t really use the $2/1 Post Shredded Wheat on the $1.99 sale price without doing battle with the cashier, right?

Pretty much, yeah. My WAGS is terrible. When I tell them they have to adjust down a coupon they tell me they can’t and look at me like I’m dumb.

John…fight for your rights…why o why do they not post their coupon policy right at the register instead of everyone battling the clerks…seem too simple I just always say “no, you have to adjust your coupon and it is right in your coupon policy”, and that works all the time.

Here’s one’s I’ve just dealt with…
– Simple wipes coupon in the April booklet didn’t have a size on it, so I used it on the smaller travel size, and they came up with a rule at the register that it as to be what is in the picture…like “since when”. They gave it to me.
– One manager at a store I seldom visit said you don’t get points if you use manufacturer coupons…really? she was not right, and Christie confirmed…… and I was suppose to call in to the toll-free number then to get the adjustment…so tired of this stuff. If they have multiple layers of coupons, then there shouldn’t be any grey area and difference store to store.

Good luck.

Any suggestions for Almay?
I bought 8 Zyrtec at Walgreens yesterday (they had plenty), I prefer to buy where they do not give me trouble with overage, Walmart and Target are always a pain, they make you feel like you are doing something wrong. I do not mind paying tax as long as they make me feel welcome.
I also bought some bandages and Crest products, I noticed that I did not get points for the toothbrushes (they rang at $3 and $2.99) but got xtra points from who knows where 🙂
I also bought 12 Butterfingers for my son’s baseball team and got 1500 points, the cashier was very happy. I think they compete with each other to see who sells more, so whenever you can, buy some 😉

Hi Marsha. If it says store ivc under the item then the coupon should have been applied. It doesn’t show on the product it self, it takes it off at the end. If you calculate your total items, the final should be 3 dollars less.
