Walgreens Shopping Scenario: 1/13

by Christie Bisbee on January 12, 2013

Here’s my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for the week of 1/13. In this scenario you’ll get $52.86ย  in merchandise, you’ll pay $8.83 out of pocket (or less if you use a Register Reward from last week to pay and add a filler) and end up with $1 in Register Rewards and $3 in points.

So it’s like spending $4.93 on everything or paying $0.26 per item! At 92% off, that’s some serious savings! ๐Ÿ™‚

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THESE TRANSACTIONS
-) You canโ€™t have more MQ than items! Blue = MQ
-) You donโ€™t have to do these in one day, just pick up where you left off.
-) I always bring some extra fillers with me to the register, in case of an emergency!

Hey, the Lindsay coupon is only redeemable at Walmart and I don’t think Walgreens accepts competitor coupons?

It doesn’t say only at Walmart, just redeemable at Walmart, so it is a mq that you can use anywhere, most stores will take it.

The lindsay coupon is a manufacture coupon so you can use it anywhere. It would say only redeemable at Walmart if it was only good at Walmart.

I used an Ihealth 10RR from the other week on the Estroven and the RR didn’t print. I know the mgr, so he printed one for me, but just wanted to give a heads up!

Maybe the i-health RR and the Estroven one are coded the same.

Valencia January 13, 2013 at 1:12 pm

Estroven is made by Ihealth so that is probably why it did not print.

The Lipton coupon wouldn’t work for me. It beeped. ๐Ÿ™

It beeped for me so the cashier checked with the manager and found the coupon acceptable so she entered it manually.

Keep an eye out for 3 + 1 bonus packs of Theracare. It made the deal even better!

I entered Atlanta, GA 30301 (although I live in Texas) and it popped right up.

Question for a Walgreens pro, please. The other day, I went into my store and got 1 each of the 3 Free items that produce a $10 RR (Estroven, High-T, & weightloss supplements). I had plenty of points to pay so I wanted to do it in one transaction. I get to the register and he said I had to choose only 1 item to buy. I looked at him like he was crazy. He said it had come down from corporate to limit the sale of these items to 1 a day. Not one each, mind you. ONE of the three. Have you guys ever experienced this? I was fuming to say the least. I don’t mind having limits on items, that’s a good thing but I really don’t like being refused a sale. Tks for your input.

Either the cashier misunderstood or the manager is very confused. I would call corporate and speak to a customer service rep and let them know what happened and what store. I can understand limiting too, but not letting you get 1 of each is crazy. Plus imagine how angry the manufacturer’s of those products would be to hear that!
