Walgreens Shopping Scenario: 12/16

by Christie Bisbee on December 15, 2012

Here’s my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for the week of 12/16. In this scenario you’ll get $30.98 in merchandise, you’ll pay $12.48 out of pocket and end up with $6.50 in Register Rewards.ย  So it’s like getting everything for just $5.98 after Register Rewards or 81% OFF.

You are getting 10 items so it’s about $0.59 per item! Pretty good when that includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, 2 bottles of Tums, 2 lip balms and 4 bags of Hershey’s Candy!

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THESE TRANSACTIONS
-) You canโ€™t have more MQ than items! Blue = MQ
-) You donโ€™t have to do these in one day, just pick up where you left off.
-) I always bring some extra fillers with me to the register, in case of an emergency!

There is also a $2/2 coupon in the Walgreens Savings Book for the Hershey’s Bliss. Should take off another $4

After purchasing a small toy last week, I received a coupon for $10 off a $35 purchase, to be used yesterday or today. Can I apply this coupon before coupons? Or will the register require $35 total after coupons?

Your purchase do not have to be $35 after coupons, make sure your purchase is $35 before tax, then give the $10 off to the cashier and then the rest of your coupons.

Mine did! They scanned the $10 off but after the MQ the $10 was put back on.

I had a few of the $10 off $35 over the last couple of days. Every time I used them, my total after MQs was way below $35 and they didn’t put it back on. Don’t know why they did this to Janell.

If you used store coupons, then in order to use the $10 off $35, your total after store coupons has to be above the $35 or else it will knock off the $10. During the Thanksgiving sale this happened to me and neither the cashier or myself could figure this out and we tried over and over to get it to work. Finally, my lovely sister decided to come help and explained the reasoning!

I couldn’t find any holiday Hershey Bliss so that I could also use the December Walgreens Savings book coupon. The only bag that fit the weight requirement was the white chocolate Hershey Bliss in the regular candy aisle. I didn’t want to bother so I settled for the Kisses. Did anyone try to buy the Hershey Bliss with the special and coupons?
