Walgreens Shopping Scenario 10/16

by Christie Bisbee on October 15, 2011

Here is my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for 10/16. In this scenario you’d get $39.20 in merchandise, spend $6.97 out of pocket and end up with $3 in Register Rewards. So, it’s like you are paying $3.97 for everything or about 90% OFF. πŸ™‚

If you have the $5/1 Hydro Razor printable coupon from a few weeks back be sure to throw that into one of the scenarios for a money maker. I didn’t include it because the coupon was no longer available.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THESE TRANSACTIONS
-) You can’t have more MQ than items! Blue = MQ
-) You don’t have to do these in one day, just pick up where you left off.
-) I always bring some extra fillers with me to the register, in case of an emergency!

My Wags took the $2/1 Reach MQ with no problems. It did beep for me but after the Cashier fully inspected it and inspected the toothbrush it was determined it could be used. Yay!

Listerine pocket packs are giving a MC in addition to RR. Not sure exactly how it is working but twice I got a $1. off of one AND $2.00 off of two. And once I got just the $2. Off and once I got just the $1.00 off.

Can someone tell me what the best way to do the Cover Girl deal is? For example, I have 3 of the $8/2 coupons, so if I buy 6 products will the system only take 1/2 off of which ever the lowest priced items are? I guess I don’t know whether I need to break up my transactions….. I’m planning on trying the Tru Blends products and mixing in some of the blushes in with it……thanks!!

I know this messed up some of my transactions last week, at my Wags instead of taking 50% off the least expensive items like I thought it would they take 50% off the equal value items first. For example I bought 2 Compacts ($7.99) 2 loose powder ($5.99) and 2 cheekers ($4.79) I thought the 2 cheekers and one powder would be 1/2 off since they are the least expensive, but on my receipt I guess they match up equal value items, they deducted $4, $3, and $2.4. This is why my last 8/2 Q wouldn’t work I had to go grab another item. Its actually better this way, you get more of a discount

Is the cottonnelle register reward a monthly deal? Or is it over?

There were no W Maxi Pads this morning at the store I went to and no sticker on the shelf. Store associate checked in the back…none to be found. 3 “coupon ladies” with huge binders were checking out when I was there. So, they may have cleared the shelves before I got there???? I didn’t see everything in their baskets but I saw Cottonelle and Kettle Chips. The store opens at 8 a.m. I was there at 11:18 a.m. and there were none of the maxi pads to be found. ):

Had a GREAT day at Walgreens – did 3 transactions similar to yours above, adding in 2 Cottonelle 12-packs and the Schick razor (I have the $5/1 coupon). Spent $8.10 for $82.41 worth of product – a 90% savings! Thanks, Wild for Wags!

Can someone tell me where the high$5/1 Schick coupon was located…what week?

I had a successful trip to Walgreens as well, however, not one of the items I was purchasing was marked as on sale or RR etc. I had to match up pics in the flyers and coupons and then pray when I got to the register everything would work/print. Luckily I had a great clerk. I did four transactions (not all at once). I spent about $15 for $50 worth of products. My kids loved the M&Ms and the Halloween pencils.

I found Truvia on sale for 1.99 and had a $1 off coupon!

The $5/1 was a printable that was available a few weeks ago.

I was looking at the Theraflu coupon and is says 1 coupon per purchase. Does it work if you use 2 coupons? Is it up to the checker to make sure only one is used?

Reply

Julie Smith October 17, 2011 at 9:04 am

You will find that wording on almost every coupon. Each item you are getting is a purchase. Together they are a transaction. Hope this helps.

Christie October 17, 2011 at 9:06 am

You are purchasing (2) so you can use (2) coupons.

Are the RR on the toilet paper only for the purple packs?

I just noticed there’s a $1/1 Theraflu/Triaminic Q in the walgreens oct booklet! Why didn’t anyone else see that?!!! I could’ve saved an extra two dollars on my more expensive transaction!!! I’m glad I have more theraflu mq’s to use πŸ™‚
