Walgreens Shopping Scenario 7/3

by Christie Bisbee on July 3, 2011

Here’s my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for 7/3. In this scenario you’d get $38.75 in merchandise, spend $7.79 out of pocket and end up with $3 in Register Rewards. So, it’s like you are paying $4.79 for everything, or about 88% off.

Thanks Christie for the rolling ideas. Just an fyi…the Oral-B coupons mentioned above aren’t two separate ones. I thought I would mention this to save others some time. I kept flipping through my P&G insert for another toothbrush coupon…lol! The coupon actually reads “$2.00 off ONE Oral-B Pulsar, CrossAction, Advantage, or any TWO Indicator or Cavity Defense Manual Toothbrushes.” So you will need 2 of them to do the deals above.

Thank you for the scenario! I can’t get the Tylenol Precise coupon to print. I’ve tried it 3 or 4 times. Any ideas?

Just wondering about the chex mix for $1…You say it’s not advertised, but is it posted in the store? Because my store doesn’t have a sign up for it. I thought I would get some at CVS this morning w/ the 50c coupon but the bags were to small to use the coupon! So I would love to get it a Wags!! So is it just a regional sale???

Yes, there are displays in the store for it. When I say it’s not advertised, I just mean it’s not in the ad. Just don’t want someone to go bonkers looking for Chex Mix in their ad. 🙂

& it’s not the regular size chex mix. It’s probably on an endstand somewhere.

Yes, like I wrote in the scenario it’s 5.5oz. So it’s a special size but the coupon is still good for it. 🙂 My store had a ton of different varieties but not the muddy buddies. I am seriously addicted to them! LOL.

Is the crest prohealth 2dollar coupon the one with the white bottle(the larger one)? I thought it was the green bottle (the smaller one) that’s on sale for 3.99? Or is the larger white one on sale too?

The one on sale is the larger, 1 Liter (1L) size.

I tried to use my printed Tylenol Precise coupons along with the IVC coupon. They would not take both of them since they are both manufacture coupons. When did the IVC’s become manufacture coupons? This is not fair.

They aren’t. Are you saying the cashier wouldn’t take them or the register beeped? If it’s the cashier, just try a different store.

Lupe,

I just had the same problem at my Walgreen’s. I was able to do it at one store but not my neighborhood store. The manager said that the $3 in the July booklet is a MQ and cannot be stacked. I was told they are ‘cracking down’ on the coupons. The last 2 times I’ve been to Wags I have had nothing but roadblocks. If this is how it is going to be then I will just start shopping at Target more.

I was told this by a cashier that was warned by another cashier. I went to a different store and asked if they could try both coupons. The register took them both. No beeps. If the register has no problem, why should the cashiers?

If I use the p&g RR from the Gillette razor to pay for the Oral-B tooth brush will RR still print for the tooth brush?

You won’t get RR for an item paid with RR’s.
