(If you don’t, you’ll just pay an additional $5.) In this scenario you’d spend $.86 out of pocket and end with $1 in Register Rewards and $24.57 in merchandise. 🙂

I don’t know if this is only limited to the Minneapolis market, but in my flyer for this week’s deals it mentions a new program called “Walk with Walgreens”. Sounds like there could be some coupons involved–here’s what it says: Walk with Walgreens is a new program where healthy steps lead to healthy savings. Yes – It starts in Early April. 🙂 I’ll double check but I believe it’s April 10th.
I always have trouble using 2 coupons on their B1G1 Free sales. They always say I’m only “buying” one, so I can only use 1 coupon. Very rarely I’ll get a cashier who doesn’t care or doesn’t know that “policy” and will push it through, but like I said, it’s rare!
They started doing Walk With Walgreens for employees recently too. They want us to wear pedometers which they gave us for free and track our steps daily. We can win prizes, trips, etc online. Not sure how they can see if you’re lying or not about the steps so idk how accurate this will be. haha!
for the first time in a very long time, Walgreens had everything I was looking for in stock and my RRs worked!

How fortunate for you,Terri – I couldn’t do the Colgate toothpaste as Walgreens only had one on the shelf – the clerk checked in the stockroom – told me they should get more in Tuesday. Right – I heard that with the Motrin PM. They sold all the Snicker eggs and wouldn’t get anymore Easter candy. I went for those two items – waste of gas and time.
Tip for those trying the skintimate deal. Walgreens has some 7oz cans that come with a bonus free razor, even though those work for the rr deal, the .55 coupon from smart source did not work for those, you can to get the cans without the bonus razor attached. My cashier told me to get the ones with out the razor, same thing happened at CVS.
Oy. It was not not NOT a pretty day at Walgreen’s for yours truly either.
– Fructis styling paste is NOT on the 4/$14 ($4 RR) deal even tho someone in the store hung a sign there that it was part of the promotion. (Shampoos rang up $3.50 each before Qs & RR… Styling paste rang up $4.99)
– There was NO signage that the Aveeno was 25% off, so I was calculating the $25 I needed to spend by the shelf price resulting in me being $5 short to get the $5 RR…
– The $10 rebate on $25 Wag products didn’t print because I had used the $2 off Infant Care coupon putting me below the $25
And lastly I picked up a clearance item for $1.49 for an upcoming birthday… & it rang up full price >_>
AND I didn’t use my RR from a previous trip because the cashier INSISTED they had a “new” policy that the RR would not print for any of the promotions if I used RR (Even tho they were on completely different items).
Needless to say I threw in the towel, left that Walgreen’s – went to another & they fixed EVERYTHING! Gold star for Jacqui at Evergreen. Pissy letter including cashier at 4th Ave’s name.
I didn’t do as well as I had hoped. Are you saying that new RRs will not print if they were paid for with RRs, even though they are not the same items? I did the travel size Secret Deo deal and purchased Colgate toothbrushes, Playtex gloves, 2 gain dish detergent and 2 filler items. I used the coupons in the scenarios, paid using $5 Almay RR, $2 Plackers RR and $2 method RR and I didn’t receive any new RRs. Is this right? I didn’t want to question the cashier because she is one of the not so “polite” ones. I thought I was suppose to get $3 for the travel size deal, $4 for Colgate, and $.50 for the gloves.
I got 6 snickers eggs and the checker would only ring up one of my $1.00/2 coupons. She said, “It came to $1.74 – there’s nothing to take the other $1.00’s off” so I actually ended up paying .74c for them :/
I’ve heard that Walgreens allows you to keep a WAGs store coupon for future use. Is this true? If so, is it stated anywhere that I can print off to add to my coupon policy.
So, I used 2 .50 skintimate coupons today- and the register would not take them. The cashier called the manager over and he said that because my 2 items rang up as one (? I guess because the sale was a 2 for $?) They could not take 2 coupons. I did not argue- he never spoke to me, just to the cashier- making it clear that if the register would not take the coupon then they could not push it though. Then he proceeded to push it though using both transactions “just this one time”. Very confused. Has anyone else run into this? I am pretty sure I have done similar transactions at my local walgreens with no problem.
I had troubles as well with my two .55 skintimate coupons yesterday. Everything the cashier tried caused a beep on the second one. After calling the manager, she told the cashier to force it through so I did get to use both in the end but it was quite the hassle!
My skintimate coupons all beeped all week and of course, there was a new cashier. Luckily, she called over another cashier and he told her he had the same problem earlier and they just needed to be pushed through because I was purchasing what the coupon was for. I find myself so much on the defense nowadays just to use a coupon for the correct thing, that I will just walkaway and go to another store from now on.
The skintimate coupon is coded incorrectly so blame the manufacturer for that one. It’ll beep wherever you go.
Ok so I am having some serious trouble at Walgreens I ended up leaving all of my stuff there not because I was angry but because NONE of my coupons would work and they had to call over a manager and I HAD to leave to get my son from preschool. So here we go first off they wouldnt let me use my skintimate coupons with the 2/$4 deal nor would they let me use my $1.00 off coupons for my lady speed stick NOR would they let me use my RR for my 3 pencils even though I only really needed to buy one pencil in order to have enough man coupons for the amount of products I was buying. Someone help cause I dont understand why they wouldnt let me use ANYTHING. The lady ringing me up actually told me I was being shady with my coupons. I told her to look at each item they were exactly what was on the coupons! UGH I am really embarassed and upset! HELP!! LOL
OH and also they wouldnt let me use my coupon for the mars on the .29 chocolate eggs even though I was buying 7 cause she said they didnt cost enough for it. she said the item has to total 1.00 at least.
Totally go to a different store! And I’d call corporate too, what was her damage with the Lady Speed Stick? So ridiculous. You clearly have stumbled on to some over zealous cashier. My guess is they probably had the new scanners which suck, and that’s why everything was beeping. When you find an employee so clearly… (looking for the nicest word I can think of considering) clueless, it’s better just to walk away.
I agree I think I am going to have to try a new store. Only problem is the closest next store is an hour away:( However, I travel that way about 3 times a month so i guess I will have to start making that my time to stop at Walgreens as well!! UGH! Just stinks cause this one is only a few minutes from my house and its so convenient but all the employees there are old and not so nice 🙁 I was thinking of trying to go in the evening maybe then there will be different people working that know more about what they are doing! Thanks so much I didnt think I was doing anything wrong but just wanted to be sure!!
My Wags wouldnt let me use my coupon $2/2 for the mars/snicker on the 0.29 eggs. Oh well.
My Wags wouldn’t accept the $2/2 Mars for the creme eggs either. I ended up calling corporate on them, and getting the manager to adjust the coupon down so I would at least get the eggs free. What a hassle, though!
