Walgreens Shopping Scenarios 2/20!

by Christie Bisbee on February 19, 2011

UPDATED ON 2/20!

Here is my scenario for 2/20.  In this scenario you would get $29.83 in merchandise. You’d spend $7.33 out of pocket and end up with $1 Register Reward. So it’s like getting everything for $6.33 or about 80% OFF.

We won’t know until Sunday if the Glade Fabric & Air Eliminator is included in the deal (the sizes are correct but still can’t be sure). Bring all your coupons to the store and have them do a price check. If it rings up 2/$5 (have them scan 2) it should work for the deal.

A couple of notes about these Transactions…
-) Blue are manufacturer coupons, Red are store coupons & don’t count in your total.
-) You can’t have more MQ than items!
-) I don’t include tax in my scenarios because taxes vary dramatically.

I am trying to figure out transaction #2 — it looks like there are 2 mfr. coupons for one product? Am I missing something?? I don’t know what ets means?

Hi Janel -) Blue are manufacturer coupons, Red are store coupons & don’t count in your total. ETS is excludes trial size.

Maybe what Janel was trying to point/figure out, the colgate $1/1 from the diabetes book is listed twice?

Christie February 20, 2011 at 1:43 am

Hi Heather – Yes, it should be. There is a manu. coupon in the magazine and a store coupon in the smaller booklet. To get the best deal you need to use both. So (2) coupons in the same magazine but they are (2) different coupons.

it’s because on the magazine Diabetes & You Nov 10 are 2 colgate coupons one manufacture and one walgreens

The Glade Fabric & Air was not part of the 2/$5 at my Walgreens. The $2 RR did print on 7 boxes of Kleenex.

Glade Fabric and Air was NOT included in the sale at my store 🙁 I even had the cashier scan it to make sure.

Has anyone tried the colgate deal? Last time I tried it the coupons beeped and they gave me a hard time.

What does ETS mean? Thanks in advance!

@Shelly, my daughter and I went to Wags together and both had the same coupons for Colgate. Mine went through just fine and she was right behind me in line and hers would not go through. I could not figure out the problem and the cashier wouldn’t push it through even though mine worked. Strange!

The manager would not let me use two $3 off Q for the Purex because one rang up at 0! He would not push it through. That is the first time that has ever happened to me on a B1G1 deal at Walgreens — I’m so bummed!

My Wags wouldn’t let me use both colgate coupons from D&Y. Coupon from the smaller booklet said manufacturer coupon good only at walgreens. I was being told it still considered as MQ

Christie February 22, 2011 at 1:06 am

It’s a store coupon, for whatever reason Walgreens is printing that on it’s store coupons too. You can see examples HERE.

@ Christine
Maybe my comment above is a little bit confusing
There are 2 colgate coupons from the D&Y
The one from the main booklet is a MQ. The one found in the small booklet said manufacturer coupon good only at walgreens. Wags told me is MQ. They can stack coupon from feb coupon book with either one “MQ” from D&Y only
🙁

Christie February 22, 2011 at 2:12 am

Hi Vicky – Yes that is correct. But actually only one of those is a real MQ. The one in the little booklet isn’t really a MQ, neither is the one in the Feb coupon book. If you look at your Feb book it says the same thing. But they both have a 4 digit code and are really store coupons. We can’t take them to another store and use them and they don’t need them since they won’t send them to be reimbursed.

They can call it a MQ but it’s not. I’ll put it like this – I can call my cat a hippo, that won’t make him a hippo! 😉

Maybe I will go to other wagreens and try to see if it work. Is there a limit on how many item I can get per transaction?

Anyone else have a problem with the Glade premium not printing a RR? They tried to blame it on the RR I used-Not a SE Johnson one, they tried to re-ring and it still didnt print out=(

Hi guys! I thought I’d share my experience from last week with you all: I’ve spent all week using both coupons in the D&Y magazine to score some free toothpaste(since it was for $1.99). I just made sure to give them the MQs 1st, then the store Q from the small brochure which automatically deducted $8.00 since I was getting 8!!! SWeeeet, no! BTW, I think that deal is still doable this week if anyone is interested. I saw a sign on the cosmetics counter still advertising the colgate total 4.2oz whitening get for $1.99… Go give it a try!
