Walgreens Rolling Scenarios 1/2/11

by Christie Bisbee on January 1, 2011

Here are my scenarios for 1/2/11.  Because I don’t know if you’ll find the smaller size Sinex at your store I’ve created my Transactions based on what I know you’ll find, the 20ct Sinex at regular price.

the coupon you have listed for the Oscillococcoinum, is for the ADULT only. it is the children’s one that is on sale.

There might also be a $5 off coupon in the Walgreens coupon booklet according to another blogger. So they said you could actually make money on the Oscillo with the 2 coupons and the RR.

These coupons are fuzzy and they were difficult to use before. YMMV with cashiers who are frumpy!

My Wags will only print 1 RR per transaction so I have to be creative and break it down a little more, but this gave me a great base to start my transaction list with thanks! I pass the store twice a day on the way to and from my daughters school and the cashier who works the day shift on weekdays is really nice and gives me no problems with multiple transactions, unlike the lady at the cosmetics counter. She is another story all together; she doesn’t even know how coupons really work. Last week my daughter and I were over by the cosmetics counter getting some Revlon nail polish and she was telling another employee that people using coupons are stealing from the store and that the store only gets part of the coupon amount back, she told her it is printed on the coupon that way. I was trying so hard not to laugh when I went over and showed the obviously new employee that she was trying to misinform that it states on the coupon that they do get the full face value plus the additional change for handling. Then I just shook my head and walked away.

The Oscillococcinum Q from the January booklet is a no go. Still a great deal with the $2/1 printable Q.
Got the Nivea deal too! No Omega Factor 3 in my store. The manager said to check back on Thursday.
Thanks for your site–what a blessing!

I was able to get L’oreal Voluminous Mascara for $5.00. I purchased three for a total of $15.00. I then used a $5.00 q(for two L’oreal cosmetics) and a $2.00 q(for one L’oreal cosmetic). I paid a little over $8.00 with taxes but got a $5.00 RR back for purchasing $15.00 on L’oreal cosmetics. Which means $1.00 per mascara 🙂

The coupons are fron todays(1/2/2011) newspaper inserts.

On Sinex products, I purchased one DayQuil (12 ct), one NyQuil (12 ct), and three VapoRub (1.76 oz).

Used 3 $4.00/1 q Sinex products
and 2 $1.00/1 q Vicks VapoRub

These were in my binder, but pretty sure they were all from PG 12-26. Total was $20.00 – $14.00 q – $5.00 RR from last week. Spent $1.00 OOP, received $10.00 RR. Thank you! Very happy. Will try the other scenarios tomorrow.
