For this scenario if you have a $ WYB $28 (or a lesser threshold), you can pay with $20 cash rewards. Your 1% cash rewards will differ slightly because of the cash rewards redemption. Online, a cash rewards redemption is treated like a Walgreens coupon so in this instance your TOTAL before MFG coupons (and after Walgreens coupons which in this case is $0) is $48.42, and to that you subtract the $20 cash rewards you are left with $28.42. I have a $5 WYB $20 so that is still $20 or more and I will earn those $5. However cash rewards offers vary so if you have one for up to $28 (though that is unlikely most probably you have one for $25) whatever the bonus is does not matter if it’s $3 or $5 that you earn.
