I know some of you received a $10 WYB $55 coupon for this week, and though it seems a bit harder, I came up with a scenario here for you to look at and maybe tweak to your available coupons. I used my Mom’s Walgreens account for this scenario. She got the same coupon. Plus, she still had her Revlon $4/2 coupon and her $5/3 Pantene which has been available since earlier this month. In addition, some of these may be thank you coupons like for Lubriderm, but just look at the coupons you have and see if you can pull it off!
I know a lot of you are snowed in and maybe you don’t want to head to the store. A big scenario like this in-store is always a challenge when you go with your nice plan only to find stuff out of stock, so this one is ONLINE. You can add things and remove things at your leisure. Also if you don’t have some of these coupons any more like Revlon, maybe you’d rather throw in a couple of household necessities like paper towels or coffee and make your order worthwhile even if you pay a little more or have less items.
The $4/2 Maybelline coupon is good on the eyeshadows and select Baby lips. The $2/1 Maybelline coupon is good only on the Baby Lips noted below for some reason. These Maybelline coupons have been available for a while. If you’ve already used your $4/2 Revlon coupon see if you can add the Designer Files instead which are cheaper. Make sure your subtotal on the Cosmetics portion (those marked with the PINK * totals $20 or more BEFORE manufacturer’s coupons, so you can earn the $5 cash rewards for spending $20.) Make sure your Crest/Oral b total is $10 or more BEFORE manufacturer’s coupons to earn the $5 cash reward. Other than that make sure your Subtotal after Walgreens coupon is $55 or more to earn the $10. The subtotal on this scenario is $77.66 because there were a lot of high value coupons, but I had to keep adding items in order for the order total to be $35 after all coupons so that there would also be FREE Shipping! I don’t recommend doing a pickup order. With a big order like this there may be substitutions which may change the cash rewards earned and coupons that can apply.

I don’t suggest paying with cash rewards. Technically for the $10 cash rewards you need only $55 before MFG coupons, but because there are two threshold deals in this ($5 WYB $20 on Cosmetics and $5 WYB $10 on Crest/oral b) redeeming cash rewards may interfere with those. It seems to be working that cash rewards redemption is first applied to non-beauty items (as it happened with BR points). I’ve placed several orders and that’s how it has worked for me.
BUT If you’re an advanced shopper and not afraid of a little math, here are some tips: If you omit the Crest deal (because that’s non beauty and redemption would apply to those first) and add $10 worth of household or grocery items and if your order total was $55 after cash reward redemption but before MFG coupons, you should be able to safely pay with $10 in cash rewards and still earn the $5 WYB $20 on cosmetics and the $10 for spending $55.
For example your subtotal after Walgreens coupons is $65 and you have $10 worth of household or grocery and you have $29 in MFG coupons for the non household or grocery items, calculate it like this…
Subtotal after Walgreens Coupons **$65 MINUS $10 cash rewards redemption = $55, so you’ll earn $10 for spending $55
$55 minus $29 in MFG coupons = $26 is your order total (PLUS taxes) and you’ll earn the $5 WYB $20 if you have $20 worth of cosmetics because the $10 cash rewards redemption is applied to grocery/household first. I have not tried another category like health care in lieu of grocery/household, but it may work the same.
so then to calculate the free shipping status, we start at the beginning again:
it’s $65 -$29 in MFG coupons = $36, so your order ships free minus $10 cash rewards is $26 (PLUS TAXES) is what you pay.
