Purell 8-10 oz Bottles As Low As 74¢!

by Christie- on January 13, 2020

Great news! This awesome double dip IS working at Walgreens. The 8 oz Purell bottles are on sale for $2.99 each this month, plus this week they are on sale B1G1 Free. Keep in mind that this is something that may be fixed, so grab this deal sooner rather than later. Be on the lookout for 10oz bonus size bottles.

The $1.50/2 Purell Clip2Card coupon worked for me on just two bottles, but keep in mind that Walgreens policy does not allow for the use of a coupon on a free item, so if you want to use the $1.50/2 Purell coupon, be sure to grab four bottles.

Walgreens Deals (Thru 1/18)

Ok I’m totally confused LOL!! You state that you can’t use a coupon on a free item but your first scenario is using a coupon on a free item. Is there a difference between clip2card coupons and manufacturer’s coupons? Help!! 🙂

Hey Jane. Cashiers are not supposed to take a coupon on a free item because it’s against the Walgreens coupon policy. However, Clip2card coupons often come off (or don’t come off) when they want to. Occasionally, you’ll see a Clip2card coupon advertised along with a B1G1 Free sale (like every time they have the Dixie coupon) they’ll put it in the ad and they don’t specify you have to buy four in order to use the $1/2 coupon, and you don’t have to because it comes off when you buy just two. For this Purell, it also came off when buying just two. I grabbed the top deal this morning.

Walgreen’s written policy does not prohibit $-off/two items being used on buy-one-get-one-free deals, as long as only ONE coupon is used for the deal and at least ONE of the items is purchased (and of course, that ONE’s price meets or exceeds the coupon’s value), then the one coupon is redeemable.

You cannot use a separate coupon on a free item, as in the second example–you cannot use a second $1.00/one Purell coupon (because that second item ostensibly costs zero). Walgreens policy on coupons that say $off/purchase of two(or three or whatever #) is that you must purchase at least one of the items, as you can only redeem one coupon per item purchased–if the ONE coupon happens to be on two items, then as long as the coupon does not exceed the combined cost of the two items, you can use the ONE coupon.
