To purchase Colgate on 1/26, it should be (2) $1 coupons to reach $3. With (1) $1 coupon it would total $4. – Thank you

Are you talking about the deal this week 3/$9? If you are paying for this deal with RR, yes you need to add a filler so your RR scans.
Would I need to use two coupons for .50 off each to purchase a buy 1 get one free soft soap liquid?
If you are buying 2 softsoap refills, yes you can use 2 50¢/1 coupons. The Walgreens policy allows for using two coupons on B1G1 free items so long as total does not dip below 0.
