Within 5 minutes of you posting this, there was a shelf clearing lady in my store who took every single product. Regardless of what you’re buying the products for (donation or personal use), it’s disgusting to see shelf-clearers who don’t allow for anyone else to be able to take advantage of the sales.

I completely agree!!

Dianne November 30, 2013 at 1:24 pm

If you were buying 4, one of them would still need to be adjusted down.

Reply

Harriet November 30, 2013 at 2:15 pm

Not if you are buying 4 and using only THREE $3/1 coupons or one $3/1 and one $5/1 coupon as noted above.

For those who have tried the double dips and succeeded, when did you got to the store? I need to pick up my free 8×10 photo today and was wondering when would be the best time to try this deal out?

Mitchell @ Frugal Finders November 30, 2013 at 1:56 pm

I was at my store at about 9:45am and they had already activated next week’s ad.

Teran November 30, 2013 at 1:57 pm

That’s early! Guess I’ll just have the cashier scan it and hope the sale is activated. Thank you.

Teran November 30, 2013 at 2:32 pm

Mine were at the pharmacy counter as well but the last time I checked there they had a different one out.

When is a good time to go double dip on this tonight?

In this case, I don’t think there is anything wrong with shelf clearing. I am making money on these items so I can buy diapers for my child. If you want the deal, be on the ball and go get it!n If you missed out, maybe next time you will leave earlier.

We have three Walgreens here in town. Only one was ahead of putting tomorrow’s prices up. Glad i got some. Paid $3.63 including tax. Got 45,000 points back. Time for some vitamins.

Wow Shannon, if you can’t afford a kid maybe you shouldn’t have one. And if doing the offer once and making $5 off of the one transaction isn’t enough, spend more time working to earn the money and less time bragging about how you took advantage at everyone else’s disadvantage.

Yeah…. cashier said there was a shelf-clearing lady who bought out the store that I go to earlier in the day. Hope Walgreens stock some for next week as there are zero..

I agree with Ryan. I coupon for fun. It’s not fun when you go to grab some vitamins and you have to go to five stores to find 2… That’s sad. Shelf clearing is dirty.

hayden December 1, 2013 at 1:36 am

agree with Ryan. Also a lot of these shelf clearers are people taking the stuff to flea markets and selling it. That is so wrong

Shannon December 1, 2013 at 8:38 am

I should clarify. I live on a $300 for a family of 6. Not because I can’t afford more but because we follow Dave Ramsey “live like no one else now so you can live like no one else later.” Saying I used it to buy diapers isn’t accurate, just giving an example of how the money made could be used. I can afford my children as my husband and I make $150k combined. Yes I cleared the shelf of 6 vita melts and it made my finish dish tabs free! Again, the deal is there for everyone to have, go get it. Sorry if your town has 1 walgreens and they were all gone. That does suck, but don’t hate on the people out getting the deals.

Can understand that I knew this deal on my own n waited a week to c if it dd, I took the 10 bottles left b4 someone else who came here came n took em,usually someone beats me n clears the shelf so I decided for once I would, seems no one even trys till its posted somewhere which is frustrTing when I figure out deals on my own,did this deal at 10am yesterday

My store had 30 or more didnt di the deal if I take that many vitamins ill get gout lol. I spent from 8pm to 10pm close rolling the crest and toothbrushes. I wait till sat night. This gives everyone a week to get what they need. Whatever is left I take.

Wow!! This site is getting a little out of hand … I come to this website to get good deal alerts and couponing strategies … Lately all I’ve read is people being negative … I’m pretty sure that’s not the purpose of this website. Please if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Jill, I agree. Although when people boast and brag, and pretty much call other people lazy (without using those exact words) for not getting to the store before them, I think they should be called out. $150k (in my area) is an upper class income and shouldn’t warrant greediness.
It wouldn’t bother me as much if I knew people were doing good deeds with their “overstock” items, like donating them to homeless or domestic violence shelters. But when people sell it to make even more profit, it is infuriating. And I know that too many people are doing this.
So much for christmas spirit.

I don’t think Shannon’s clarification made her sound any less arrogant…
