$5 (5,000) BALANCE REWARDS BONUS – in hawaii its just one per an account. i also had the coupon and the email coupon. i called wagreens and they told me it was one per an account and not transaction even if you had 2 (coupon and email). Boo. However yay for you 🙂

The program is the same no matter what state, only thing that changes is if you can get bonus points on Rx. They don’t know unless they’ve tried it but i had several customers get multiple points for separate transaction

The triaminic would be great with this deal—Buy 4 ($4.99 each= $19.96) plus a 4 cents filler. Use 2 $7/2 printables= $5.96, get back 5,000 points. You pay 96 cents for 4 Triaminics! A quarter each!

For anyone thinking of doing the above deal, I just wanted to confirm that I did it, and it worked perfectly! 🙂

I was able to get the 5000 on multiple $20 transactions.

Any ideas how to get my points? I called walgreens and they said it was 1 per an account. i’m guessing that’s the rule and i’m just unlucky? i tried to return my purchase but they can’t give me back the RR i used in the transaction, they said it was like a man coupon (which is it) and you forfeit the value if you return something.

What really makes me mad is when i didn’t get the points, the cashier told me it would be added on later, which i knew was a total lie.

Ann, I did not get my points too and I called and they added

Ann, it os true that it can take up to 3 days to post to your account,but usually shows up instantly.
The coupon stated, one per transaction.i used 2 and received them both times.
As for the register reward, they do not give you cash for it, but they could have given you store credit for the amount.
That is what my store does.since you did earn it.
Sorry you had so much trouble 🙁

I received a one dollar register reward tonight from unilever but I’m not sure what product prompted the reward. I purchased a Schick razor, a renu contact solution, two suave Moroccan items, and four Arizona teas. Any idea which one produced the one dollar unilever reward?

Suave is a Unilever product so that is my guess.

Thanks, Doug! That’s pretty awesome because they were 2/$6 with 2000 pts and a $1 reward + I had a $2 off Wags catalina coupon from a while back…50 cents each!

Thank you so much for posting this–I had nearly forgotten about coupon thing for the 5000 points. I just ran out and bought 2 Revlon compacts and 2 Green Mountains. Love green Mountain, excited to try the Revlon.

The catalina for 5000 points did not work so I had to call and have them added. The man I was talking to on the phone could see my last transaction and actually praised for me for being such a “smart shopper”. My total before MQ’s and after Wags Q’s was $20.76, but I only paid $3.26 OP (plus got a $1.50 RR). The person on the phone was extremely nice, unlike many of the cashiers at Walgreens. Some treat you like a criminal for using coupons

I did two transactions and scanned m email coupon twice, and it showed up. Also got the Unilever $1 off, and two Listerine Whitening coupons- $1 off 1, and $2 off 2. Since they’re on sale for $3.99 this week, it’s still a good deal.

Anyone else running into trouble with the Colgate 3/$9, then $3 store coupon? It wasn’t wanting to ring up tonight. The endcap on display still says price good until 9/28, but I guess the register is balking.

Hey in in Hawaii. .I have a question regarding the balance rewards. How exactly does this work? My understanding is that all walgreens no matter what the state has the same sales, just different prices. I saw a video on a couponer who used their rewards points from their card to pay for their purchase, but no catalina coupon was used. It was added to the total via the computer. Please let me know. I have received a cataliba q at random times saying I can get $5 off $20 the next purchase, but has a two day expiration. I’m very confused. Thanks for any tips in advance.

I tried to use the $5 (5,000) Balance Rewards Bonus coupon that was sent to me via email and it did NOT work for me.

This is what I tried to buy:
(1) Bausch & Lomb Renu Solution, $7.99
(1) Schick Intuition Razor Cartridge (3 pk), $8.99
(2) EOS Lip Balm, 2/$6.00
SUBTOTAL=$22.98
(1) $2.00 off (purchase of 2) EOS Lip Balm (September Walgreen Savings Book)
TOTAL=$20.98
(1) $5 in Balance Rewards Points when you buy $20 coupon
(1) SAVE $2.00 on any Bausch & Lomb Renu manufacturer’s coupon
(1) SAVE $4.00 on any one (1) Schick Women’s Razor or Refill manuf. coupon

After the cashier scanned all the coupons, she said that the register said that I did not have enough to get the Balance Rewards Points. I showed her the fine print on the $5 Balance Rewards coupon did indicated that “purchase amount is calculated BEFORE taxes and AFTER all Walgreens Coupons and discounts are applied” and my total before manufacturer’s coupons was $20.98 so I am within the purchase amount required. She said she didn’t know why but it’s probably because I used too many coupons. I also noticed on the register screen that I only got $2.00 off for the Schick coupon instead of $4.00 as stated on the coupon. She called the manager and he voided the transaction and started over again and the same thing happened. He said he doesn’t know why so I just gave up and left the store empty handed. It was just frustrating experience and a waste of time.

Does anyone know why this did not work?

You need a filler, coupons > number of items.

When I had to call corporate and ask for my points to get added, I also asked why the points didn’t show up. I was told “alot of people are having the same problem with this particular promotion”. If you call the number on your receipt, they can pull up your BR account and see your transaction. They will manually add the points for you.

I was able to get the 5,000 BR two times and the cashier even handed me back the coupon if I wanted to do it again.
