Do you think I will get 10,000 pts if I spend $25 for the monthly AARP (spend $25, get 5000 pts) promotion?

Reply

barbara September 19, 2013 at 12:32 am

Yes, you should receive both.

Glenn September 19, 2013 at 12:33 am

You should. Earlier this month I purchased vitamins which had a 5000 point offer. Because I spent over $25, I received 5000 points for AARP. They are independent offers which can be earned at the same time.

I do this every month to get as many BRP out of the $25 AARP transaction as I can and then pay with RRs rolling them back into BRP. Any other BRP offers will accumulate in the transaction as well. Remember that AARP and Walgreen’s also offers additional 1,000 BRP for select NICE! items each month as well that can also be purchased in the same transaction and “should” also qualify for the 2,000 BRP wyb $10 in any NICE! product monthly Bonus Buy offer. That is the direction my head is spinning on this one.

What are the select NICE! AARP items for this month? I should have paid attention to that!

Do I need that catalina to receive the points?

do you think buying shogun beywarriors contribute to the spend 20?

Reply

barbara September 19, 2013 at 12:38 am

I wouldn’t wait to get these if you see them now. Hard to find. If the total is $20 before manf coupons, it will work. Would need to buy 4, the free ones won’t count towards the total. I got four of these today fianlly finding at the 3rd and last store in town. 2 of the blades ($10.99) and 2 warriors ($12.99), used 2 $3 q’s and 2 $4 q’s. $9.98 OOP for 4 items.

do u think can we do it couple times in one card?

Dianne September 19, 2013 at 7:47 am

The coupon states one per transaction which implies that you can use separate coupons in separate transactions to get the 5,000 each time.

Reply

grace September 19, 2013 at 7:08 pm

you will have to have two coupons though

The sponges deal would be another really good one to get your total up, though keep in mind the in-ad price would count, not the original price tag (because it has to be $20 after Walgreens coupons).

I’m confused. The coupon says ” get 5000 point when you spend $20″ does this mean before using manuf. coupons or after all manuf. coupons.

Reply

grace September 19, 2013 at 7:09 pm

before manufacturers and AFTER Walgreen coupons including in-ad coupons

does it take it off your order or do you earn if oyno? tia

I am kind of new to walgreens couponing..so if I could really use some assistance. Can you use RR on a purchase that is suppose to print out more RR?

Reply

Becky September 19, 2013 at 12:31 pm

Yes, as long as it’s not the same one. For example, if I’m expecting a $2 RR for Colgate, then I can’t use a $2 Colgate RR to pay (but you CAN use other RR’s). Also to note, if you use points to pay, you will get your RR’s but you will NOT get any more points, so if you’re expecting points, don’t use points to pay. If you use RR’s to pay, you will still get points and other RR’s.

Vilma September 19, 2013 at 5:54 pm

Thanks! That’s good to know! I have another question though… Do I need the $5 off coupon to get the RR for the deals shown above because I looked at the ads and there’s no RR showing for the Kleenex , Edge or Kotex??

Reply

grace September 19, 2013 at 7:11 pm

Vilma, the Kleenex and Kotex R&R are not in the ad and they are running longer than a week. IF you bought the same items from Rite Aid or Kroger, you would still get these catalinas. I do not see a RR for Edge

Reply

Dianne September 19, 2013 at 7:49 am

After all Walgreen’s sale, in ad, IVC coupons and discounts but BEFORE any MQs because they are considered “payment”.

Reply

amy September 19, 2013 at 12:03 pm

If I buy the edge and it’s buy one get one 50% it will take off 2.99….

Reply

carrie September 20, 2013 at 9:39 pm

Nexxus would be good deal.Spend $20.98(cheapest I found) before Q’s, get back $10rr & $5. pts.Spend $14.98 after 2 $3 coupons.

Reply

Meryl September 21, 2013 at 12:36 pm

so I can’t use pts to pay for nexxus or I won’t get more pts? tia

Reply

carrie September 21, 2013 at 1:09 pm

correct,if you have spare rr’s,use cheap fillers reduce cost.Still receive$10 rr & $5 pts.I did this this morning

my coupon would not scan, my total was 20.45 before manufacturer’s coupons. I bought 2 Stacy chips, 2 blue diamonds, 2 Ocellos, I firefly toothbrush (on clearance) 3 M&M, and the 4.99 Glade. IT would not scan and the manager said he cannot add for me the points and gave it back to me 🙁

Reply

Meryl September 21, 2013 at 12:40 pm

that’s not true- he may not know how to add pts to your acct but it can be done at the register. I would comment on fb wall- they will get back to you and you can reference your receipt, wags BR acct number, store number, etc. They should be able to look up your transaction and can apply the $5 to your BR acct.

Sarah September 21, 2013 at 2:05 pm

Mine wouldn’t scan either. They had me call the number on the back of my Walgreens card, and they were able to add the points, no problem. When I called they said others were having the same issue.
