As a manager that works at Walgreens I would like to let you know that you should not tell people that we will take the full amount when the coupon is scanned on a buy 1 get 1 50% off item. You buy the full price one and the 50% off item is the item that is free and that is the price that is taken. It does not matter what the coupon scans. A computer scans it, a human reads it. I thought the Krazy Coupon Lady was the only website that gave information like this out. We do not give an overage at the store. When you tell someone to do this, what is happening is it is taking the overage and applying as a COUPON to another item, so when you are using the one coupon per item it will not work because you have utilized that with the overage. So trying to trick the computer is not really tricking the computer because it is using it as another coupon. I would love to answer any more questions if you have any. feel free to ask.
Christie, I love your website. I use it almost daily. And thank you for removing the comment. However, where giving the example you still show the incorrect way of using the coupon buy getting the full price of the coupon off.
