Walgreens Updates From The Field 8/18

by Christie Bisbee on August 18, 2013

Lever 2000Here are some updates from my shopping trip that can help you save even more on your shop!

LEVER 2000 DEAL: The Lever 2000 Bar soap 2pk are included in the B1G1 Free deal this week! If you have the $1/1 Lever coupon (no longer available) you can get these for just 25¢ a pack or 12¢ a bar.

There’s also a $1.50/1 Lever coupon on Facebook. You have to play a game and win to get the coupon. I wasn’t very lucky on that one but maybe you’ll do better. 😉 If you do you can use the coupon to do this…

Walgreens Deals (thru 8/24)
Buy (2) Lever 2000 2pk $2.49 B1G1 Free
(2) $1.50/1 Lever coupon on Facebook (must win game)
= FREE! 🙂

Clear CareCLEAN CARE: My buddy Mitchell at Frugal Finders, found this sign at his store. The ad had advertised a $3 off coupon but turns out it was only $1.50 off so Walgreens is adjusting the price down by $1.50 to compensate for the difference.

CRUNCH BARS: The Nestle Girl Scout Crunch bars don’t work with the in ad coupon this week but the regular crunch bars do. So  do this deal instead…

Buy (4) Regular Crunch Bars 2/$1 (w/in ad Q)
(1) B3G1 Nestle Crunch Single or Nestle Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars (SS 08/04/13)
= 38¢ EACH!

Ocean Spray

OCEAN SPRAY: There aren’t any coupons for the Ocean Spray that’s included in the sale but it’s still a great deal! The price will vary slightly by store but you can get them as low as $1.80 no coupons needed which is a great price for these!

So what deals did you find at your store? How did your shop go? Let us know! 🙂

Walgreens has French’s Flavor Infuser 10 Minute Marinade on clearance for .99 cents. There is a $1.00 off coupon today in the Smart Source insert. The cashier will need to call the manager to adjust the coupon down to 0.99 cents, so you will not make money off of the deal, but score a great new product!

I had to click the handler on the Lever spin game at least 3 times for the coupon. I then did it from my husband’s fb and it took 5 times. Keep trying . . .it does (eventually) work! I was able to get 4 free bars of soap today.

Lever deal didn’t work at my store. I had 2 lever $1.50 off coupons and the cashier along with the store manager wouldn’t take it. I asked them to adjust the price down because of the coupon but they wouldn’t budge. Why does Walgreens give such a hard time when you get items for free.. ~_~

Ask them to adjust the price of the item, not the coupon. In the coupon policy it says they have to adjust- so make sure you carry it with you. If they do not follow policy, ask who the district manager is, by name- and call corporate with a request for the district manager to call you.

My store “hid” the Nestle Girl Scout crunch bars behind customer service. I then proceeded to show them the 2 for $1 ad coupon. They denied me.
I then gave the 1800 number a call. Rep sounded like she also thought they should have been part of sale. She was intrigued when I told her they had them in boxes behind customer service.
