Walgreens First Aid Items Just 16¢ Each!

by Christie Bisbee on June 14, 2013

Walgreens First AidRemember the First Aid deal I wrote about HERE.  There are some other great deals with the Hydrogen Peroxide or Isopropyl Alcohol this week.  This month, the Walgreens Build-Your Own First Aid Kit is still free with any two First Aid Items that you buy.

In addition, if you buy two bags (or get two bags for free by buying four other First Aid Items), you will earn 2,000 points for the bags themselves.  This week the Well at Walgreens Hydrogen Peroxide and other Well at Walgreens first aid alcohol antiseptics are Buy 3 and get 1 free.

Here are a couple of ideas for you.  You can do one kind of solution, depending on what first aid antiseptic you prefer, or mix and match.

Walgreens Deals
Buy (4) Well at Walgreens Hydrogen Peroxide 3% Topical Solutions, 16 oz, .99¢ Buy 3, get 1 free
(2) Walgreens Build-Your-Own First Aid Kit Bags, $0 (Free with every 2 First Aid Items)
-.99¢ (1) Free Hydrogen Peroxide 3% Topical Solution (because you bought 2 others)
Total $2.97, and Get Back $2, (2,000 pts. for the bags)
= .16¢ per item!

First Aid BagI don’t know if it matters, but I had the cashier scan the first 3 Isopropyl Alcohols first, then the hydrogen peroxide solutions.

Buy (3) Well at Walgreens 70% Isopropyl Alcohol,$1.99 Buy 3, get 1 free
Buy (6) Well at Walgreens Hydrogen Peroxide 3% Topical Solutions, 16 oz, .99¢ Buy 3, get 1 free
(4) Walgreens Build-Your-Own First Aid Kit Bags, $0 (Free with every 2 First Aid Items)
-$1.99 (1) Free 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (because you bought 2 others)
-$1.98 (2) Free Hydrogen Peroxide 3% Topical Solution (because you bought 4 others)
Total $7.94 and Get Back $4, (4,000 pts. the bags)
= .30¢ per item!

You got 12 items, why didn’t you get 6 bags instead of 4?

@ Melissa
I believe Kristi has in the post that one receives 1free bag per 2 first aid items. Nine first aid items divided by 2 equal 4 first aid bags.

9 items and 3 free items is equal to 12 items. If its a bag for every 2, it should be six bags unless the 3 free items don’t count. Just clarifying, I wanted to make sure it was correct before I did it.

Are you at the mercy of your Walgreens cashier/manager to determine what is considered a “first aid” product to entitle you to the free tote bag? At my store the free bags are displayed with only the higher priced packages of bandages and ointments. Somehow I don’t think I will be allowed to purchase the cheapo peroxide or alcohol and get the free first aid bags and I know for a fact I will not be allowed to do the “multiple” deal examples given because they make up some phoney baloney nonsense about it being “limit one free offer per person, per day”. Anyone else experience this?

I hear you Jan. We have only one Wags to shop at and their rule is 1 RR item per week, if there any RR items left on Sat evening you can get more than one. Somehow I am not sure that rule applies to employees.

That’s just WRONG!

I had the most interesting conversation with a Walgreens Manager, whom I like. I have couponed at this store for years, because I am always polite, my Mama raised me that way, and I never tie up their front registers, I also let people go ahead of me if I have multiple transactions. He was discussing with me that they are now restricting you at our store to one register reward item per day per person. I ask why, not that I go in and buy 20 of an item but why not if I wanted to, he said to me that they are only getting 12 of that item, in a town of close to 20,000 people not including the surrounding towns. This is the only Walgreens for 70 miles, I said why not order more his answer was so surprising but really enlightening. He said that the warehouse only alots a certain amount and that their district manager had told him to tell customers that they were not a warehouse. This is why Walmart is the #1 retailer in the world, not that I care for Walmart, but this isn’t Communist Russia where they have to ration food and everything else, that a store could run a sale and then have such a limited supply to me is ridiculous. You are using the register rewards to draw people in, if you get a reputation for not having any items you’ve lost customer confidence in your store. My reply to the manager had to do with the Planters Nutrition they had on sale in May for $1.99, not only did they not have them, they didn’t get them until last week, I wanted to stock up on these because we like them. So I ask the manager if I could order 6, on their next truck, he said they could order it but they did’t have any and they didn’t like to do that. So I told him during this conversation that as a consumer I didn’t like being told I couldn’t buy something so I just took their ad to my local Walmart and priced matched them and low and behold no hassle on quanitity. He was nice but I refuse to be punished for being a smart shopper, just because you use coupons you are relegated to being able to buy less than you need or want because you were smart enough to work out how to get items for great prices. I still love couponing and I hope we all can continue going out there and keep finding the deals. But more and more Walgreens is becoming a store I don’t go to very often.

My local store is always low and I have asked several times if they would order for me and was told each time, no. The main store manager doesn’t like anyone who coupons and does her best to keep couponers from getting any RR items if possible. I have learned to shop at night to avoid her. But she is the one who orders and no matter who requests an order, she wont do it. We have a CVS being built across the street from our Walgreens, and I am hoping that this will help get prices down and make the store more coupon friendly.

I am usually all over this stuff, but this is seriously the most confusing post on this site ever!~ Are the peroxide/alcohols b2g1 free, or b3g1 free?????
