by Christie- on October 29, 2012

If you haven’t picked up the NEW Walgreens Holiday Guide at your local store yet then you should do so soon! It’s filled with a lot of great ways to save. Here’s a Balance Rewards deal I found inside I thought would be great to highlight.

Through December 28th, you’ll receive 3,000 Balance Rewards Points just for purchase $20 worth of participating Healthy and Happy items found inside the Holiday Guide. That means you can save even more on the sale prices inside! So, whether you’re picking up diapers, vitamins, or detergent you’ll be able to do so for less with all these great promotions. 🙂

If you are an AARP member you will get an additional 5,000 points (one time only per month) wyb $25. I will wait to see if we get another offer like a bonus BR day or another Friends and Family event to get even more “bang for my buck”.

I hate to put a damper on deals like this but 3000 points is only worth $3.00 and since there usually aren’t coupons for Wags brand items IMO this isn’t much of a deal. The Wags brand is still more expensive and I could probably take the $17 to Walmart or Target and get more.
Now if there is a deal like Dianne states above where we could maybe get RR along with this or extra BR points it would be a lot better but by itself, not so much.

I have only shopped at Walgreens twice since the BR program began. I have a total of 5700 pts. and had to make 2 calls to the corporate office before I could get the 1200 pts. that they owed me. Walgreens makes too may mistakes to take the time it takes to try and straighten the messes out. Plus having to buy items in bulk like $30 or more to get 3000 points just isn’t any kind of deal. Sorry to be negative but this is just too tedious for me.

Is the AARP $25.00 only on Wags Brands?
