Absolutely wonderful! I was planning on running out for this deal today, and you just saved me 20 mins of planning! Thanks for all your hard work 🙂

Deal is good for today only and I only have 3 of the Revlon coupons. *sadface*

Christie, my walgeen manager wont take the $2 wals Q and the $1 MQ. He said to use either or since they are both manufacturer coupons. I reasoned with him that the $2 wag Q doesnt say anywhere thats its a manufacturer coupon but he said that the machine wont accept it(and the machine was beeping everytime!!). I finally did 1 transaction with only the $2 wals Q and then my RR didnt print. I ended up returning everything. I wonder why that happened?:((

Lexi September 18, 2011 at 12:20 pm

@Zain, you have to hand over your MFQs first, then Wags Q or the register will beep.

Also the official Wags coupon policy clearly states: When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.

I would print it out and bring it with you. It also might be helpful to keep Wags ads that encourage the use of a MFQ + Wags Q… even better if it’s also a RR deal, too! HTH

No code for the $2.00 revlon wags q, you have to scan it

stephanie September 18, 2011 at 12:06 pm

There are really good deals if you got the $5 Revlon Age Defying make-up coupon; surprised they haven’t been posted yet.

Reply

Becca September 18, 2011 at 12:21 pm

Hey midwesterners! The Louisville Courier did not have the $5 Revlon Q but the Indianapolis Star does! Was able to purchase two of the foundations (one winter, one for the tanner days). Used the $2 Wags Q also. Got a great deal.

Is the 5829 online code or is a zip code…missing a number, if so? What is the zip code

Reply

Susan September 18, 2011 at 12:31 pm

The code for the Wag’s $2 Q is 5829.

Reply

Cindy Tullis September 18, 2011 at 1:16 pm

how does the code work? can you just tell them that code?

Reply

Susan September 18, 2011 at 1:50 pm

Yes. The cashier can just type it in and it will deduct $2 for each Revlon cosmetic purchased.

Reply

CHI September 18, 2011 at 2:30 pm

Thank you. But my manager and cashier refused to punch it in. So it may a YMMV.

I went to Walgreens today and I was told that I CAN NOT USE A MC ON A PRODUCT THAT IS ON SALE!! they said I can only use coupons on items that are not on sale by the store…AND TO DO MY HOMEWORK!! This is just my second week using coupons so I’m new to all this..BUT Is this true???

Reply

Christie September 18, 2011 at 1:23 pm

Olga – NO NO and NO. Whoever told you that is really uh – uninformed.

Show them the ad… front page shows “Prevacid Sale Price $19.99” “use the $4/1 coupon in most Sunday papers” to get it for $15.99.
The ad is FULL of examples like that. Show them the Lean Cuisine on page 2 or the Revlon on the back page.

(1) – $2/1 Revlon Cosmetics, any – 07-24-11 SS Wags Q x9/30 (Takes Off $16)
Can someone please explain how this coupon takes off $16? I’m confused and want to make sure I do this correctly. Thanks!

Reply

Christie September 18, 2011 at 1:46 pm

It will take off $2 for each one – you don’t need 8 coupons.

Reply

Jolene September 18, 2011 at 1:45 pm

Is there a limit to how many items the $2 Wags Q will deduct? If I buy 15 items will it deduct $30?

Reply

Christie September 18, 2011 at 1:46 pm

Well I haven’t tried buying quite that many so I’m not sure. Theoretically yes, bu I can’t make any promise as I have only tried it with 8 products.

Reply

Jolene September 18, 2011 at 1:50 pm

Thank you. I was just thinking about purchasing a little more than the scenario for stocking stuffers. Since it’s such a great deal.

I did my Wags shopping at midnight and used 2 of the $5 off Age Defying Q’s on 2 concealers. My register reward didn’t print ($3 wyb $10) so we looked at the receipt (me and the manager – he checked me out) and found that not only is the 40% off sale going on, but the B1G1 50% off sale is also still going on, so it took off an additional $3.15 which put me under the $10 mark for the RR. I didn’t care since it was .15 more than I was expecting anyway, but thought everyone would want a heads up about that situation.

ali September 18, 2011 at 2:51 pm

just curious, how do you get 8 of one coupon?
other than buying 8 newspapers. My Sunday paper is $2 a piece….
and I’ve found that you can only print 2 copies of a Q from just one computer….
what am I missing?

Thanks y’all!

Reply

Pam September 18, 2011 at 3:50 pm

Ali
Do you have a dollar store or Menard’s that sells your paper for only $1.00? I pick up extra copies of the Chicago Tribune at Menard’s since they sell them much cheaper–only $1.00 each.

ali September 19, 2011 at 9:20 am

I live in Missouri, but we do have a Menards…I didn’t know they sold papers! I will head out today to see if they still have some…thanks for the great tips yall!

Hello – for someone who did a Revlon Age Defying transaction, can you give me an idea of what the regular prices might be for those items?

Reply

Pam September 18, 2011 at 3:48 pm

The Age defying foundation is regularly 14.99 (with 40% off it is 8.99).
The concealer is regularly 9.99 (5.99 on sale).

Pam September 18, 2011 at 3:52 pm

I am trying to figure out why the deal I did today didn’t work–any input would help 🙂
I bought one of the Age defying DNA foundations (sale price =8.99), a mascara ( 4.79 sale price) and a top speed nail polish (3.59), making sure that I was over the $10 after accounting for the Wags Q.
So, after the Wags q (which deducted $6) I was at 11.37 (so above the $10 needed to produce the cat). I then had manufacturer Qs for $5 and (2) $1 ones. So my total was then $4.37. NO CAT.
They then tried it without any coupons, and the cat DID print…leading them to say that obviously, the coupons screwed it up. Anyone have any ideas of what went wrong?

Reply

Tara September 18, 2011 at 5:14 pm

You need to do the mani first, then the Wags coupon or it won’t work.

Jen September 18, 2011 at 5:44 pm

Pam (and Marilee actually) I work for Walgreens and I have no idea why that would not have worked. In EVERY case I have EVER seen where a minimum purchase amount (in this case, $10) needs to be met to get a catalina coupon, it needs to be met after walgreens coupons, and BEFORE manufacturers coupons. I did a Revlon deal today with 10 items and with my employee discount, sale price, (10) $1 manufacturers coupons, and $2 walgreens coupon, my pre-tax total was $0.00, after tax $1.80. My catalina printed no problem. It honestly baffles me how many cashiers out there just have no idea how coupons work and what our Walgreens coupon policy actually says. In truth, the training is just not there. There’s probably a computer training program but everybody just clicks through those as quickly as they can and doesn’t even read them. Thankfully, I’m well known and respected around my district so I have had a lot of success “re-educating” cashiers and manager alike on coupon use. My guess in this case is that one of the products that you bought is not a “participating” Revlon product(Notice the wording in the ad.) Meaning, it’s not coded in the computer (probably the cataline system, not walgreens) as being a part of the items that will meet the $10 minimum – but that would be the case coupon or no coupon. If the manager won’t make it right for you (WHICH THEY SHOULD), then call Catalina at 1-877-210-1917 (M-F 8-5) and they will send you your coupon. It takes a while to get it in the mail though :/

Pam September 18, 2011 at 6:31 pm

Jen—thanks so much for your reply. I am wondering if one of these 2 things could have somehow screwed it up:

1. Initially, the cashier scanned the Wags Q first (before I could stop her) which of course made the manufacturer Qs beep. I told her it was because she scanned the Wags Q first, so she took it off, scanned the Manu Qs then did the Wags Q. So, could it be the act of adding then removing the Wags Q be the culprit (?) or

2. The last manufacturer Q she scanned beeped (even after taking off the Wags q). This was one of the Qs she had given me. (I myself only had the Age Defying $5/1 Q). She gave me a Q specifically for the mascara as well as one off “any Revlon cosmetic”. One of the $1/1 Qs beeped (probably cuz those always beep on nail polish), and she manually entered something. Not sure if that could have screwed it up, or the coding on one of the Qs she gave me might have.

Reply

Pam September 18, 2011 at 6:33 pm

oh, and I think I mentioned above, that the scenario DID print the catalina when no coupons were used.

Reply

Jen September 18, 2011 at 8:02 pm

Yea that’s why I find it so strange. The order of the coupons matters in terms of “beeping” and the register taking the coupons to begin with without a manual override. But with regards to a Catalina coupon printing, I really don’t think that the order (WagsQ then MQ)matters. At least that’s never happened in my experience. I’m gonna try an age defying revlon deal later this week and I’m hoping it works out. Honestly sometimes they just don’t print – for no good reason at all. In which case, the manager should either ring another transaction to generate the RR and then post void that transaction or give you a gift card.

Marilee September 18, 2011 at 3:52 pm

I ended up buying 5 products that totaled $3.55 after using 5 $1 and the the $2 walgreens coupon (that took off $10). The Register Reward didn’t print for me and the manager told me it was because after all the coupons it was less than $10, so I wouldn’t get the RR deal. He said that even after coupons, the total I pay out of pocket has to be $10.

Reply

Pam September 18, 2011 at 6:47 pm

Marilee:
For your scenario, I think I see why it didn’t work. Your total must have been 18.55 before any Qs–>after Wags Q’s you were at only 8.55. You needed to be above $10 at that point. You were $1.45 short.

Reply

Jen September 18, 2011 at 7:53 pm

What Pam said! Lol, yes the $10 has to be after walgreens coupons/discounts. Think of that extra $2 off as just a sale that lowers the price of the item, not a coupon.

Reply

Sarah September 18, 2011 at 5:39 pm

I noticed that in each of these you are getting 8 items and using 9 Q’s. You have to be using a filler item which would change the total a little. What were you using for fillers?

Reply

Betsy September 19, 2011 at 12:12 am

8 of the coupons are $1/1 manu. q’s for Revlon. The 9th q is a $2 Wags q, which takes $2 off each item. The Wags q does not count toward the total number of q’s, so no filler needed.

How do I explain the 4 digit code to the cashier? They have no idea what it is and the manager does not too. They said they have to have the coupon.

Reply

Zain September 18, 2011 at 5:53 pm

Thanks for the tip Lexi. I’ll print out the coupon policy and try again!!

Penny September 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm

You can always buy any of the $4.99 items, which will end up being $2.99 sale price. And if you use a $1 mfr cpn for each plus a $2 WAGS cpn, they’d be free even without the $3 RR. That way you don’t even have to worry about going over the $10 mark.

hotmomcoupon September 18, 2011 at 8:45 pm

good idea. I have a last $1 coupon, I’ll do it later today on a nailpolish. Too bad I don’t really wear drugstore makeup. But I got some stuff for my friends. Cost me a little more ($3 for 5 items).
Too bad my store did not have the single eyeshadows. arrggghhhh
