Hey Christie, I am planning on doing the P/G deal and wanted to roll (2) 3RR and (1) 2RR, all P/G . Will this work on this deal to where I can get back the 10RR, since they are different amounts? Thanks

Reply

Christie August 25, 2011 at 12:39 pm

Hey there! Yes I would say 99% chance it should work since they are different $ amounts. 🙂

Denise August 25, 2011 at 12:49 pm

Thanks Christie!

OOOOHHHH! I just learned something new….I didn’t think you can roll over P&G RR to get another RR at ALL….but you are saying you CAN use P&G RR if it a different amount. Thanks for letting us know!

It works, I did it.

On the Nature Valley Bars theres a $2/2 peelie from about a month ago..that would make that a FANTASTIC DEAL!!!! $1 a box!!!

Will the Pampers double dip on the $1 Pampers RR & the $10 P&G RR?

Reply

Erin August 25, 2011 at 2:59 pm

I was wondering the same thing!!

Reply

Danielle August 28, 2011 at 4:26 pm

Tried it today. Negatory. Big Box printed the $1 RR, but didn’t count towards my $30 P&G total, so no $10 RR.

The manager printed me up a form to send to the Catalina company & said that they should send me a $10 RR because the ad doesn’t specify which items (& NONE of the offer’s items had any ad signage anywhere in my particular store, so it was impossible to know what was included & what wasn’t)

paula August 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm

If I do the $30 p&g deal and I buy crest and papers will I get the $10 rr and separate $3 rr for the crest and $1 rr for the papers? Or would I have to buy them separately to get all the rr?

Reply

Mary August 25, 2011 at 1:49 pm

I hope so 🙂 That is what made the Crest deal so sweet a couple weeks ago … it would print out $3RR AND $2RR when you would purchase toothpastes for one of the offers. They included alot of P&G products this time around so in addition to searching the store for those double-dip offers, I will definately check back here on Sunday morning for Christie’s Updates From The Field.

Reply

paula August 25, 2011 at 4:19 pm

I hope so too! I guess we will find out on Sunday! 😉

The Estroven here in Central NJ is $21 a box!! Drat, that would have been a nice deal!

Reply

Christie August 25, 2011 at 2:03 pm

Well, it should be on sale next week for $10 get $10 back. So why the drat?

Reply

Oh the Estroven is for next week, haha, no wonder I didn’t see it in the circular, pays off to read comments, thanks Christie, you do an amazing job, keep it up!

Is the P&G deal before or after coupons?

Reply

Mary August 25, 2011 at 1:41 pm

$$ required deals are always before coupons.

Reply

Denise August 25, 2011 at 2:22 pm

Christie, are $$ required deals always before coupons as Mary said? If so I will have to change my scenario up.

Reply

Erin August 25, 2011 at 2:45 pm

Make your deal even sweeter!! 🙂

Reply

Christie August 25, 2011 at 2:52 pm

Yes – however it can sometimes be (like the Revlon this week) before MQ but AFTER Wags qs.

Reply

Denise August 25, 2011 at 3:11 pm

So sorry for the confusion, I read Mary’s comment wrong and thought it was after coupons. My glasses were not working with me this morning.

Reply

Melissa August 25, 2011 at 4:21 pm

Please explain “before and after” mq and wag coupons

Reply

Sean August 25, 2011 at 3:11 pm

Before manufacturer’s coupons, but after Walgreens coupons.

Reply

Nicole Soule August 25, 2011 at 2:05 pm

I really want to say my walgreens has carmex twists on clearance… I wonder if they will get a RR??

Reply

Beth August 25, 2011 at 3:11 pm

Is Walgreens a participating retailer in the Savings for Back to School Success promo from P & G for a $10 MasterCard Card? That would make this deal amazing!

Reply

Kay August 25, 2011 at 3:25 pm

So RR should be used after in store ad Q’s and before manufacter coupons?

Reply

Debbie August 25, 2011 at 5:32 pm

The helpful checkers at my Walgreens told me to always use your manufacter coupons First (this includes your RR as these are also manufacter coupons) then use your store ad Q’s.

Reply

Veronica August 25, 2011 at 5:42 pm

No! Here’s how it goes. Buy product, hand over MFR Q’s first, then WAGS Q’s.

What they are talking about is when you have to buy X Amount to get the RR. If you have to buy say $10.00 of something and you have an actual WAGS coupon (not RR’s) then you have to reach the $10.00 after deducting the WAGS Q. So product A is $4.00. You would have to buy 3 of them to reach the $10.00 mark right? No matter what MFR Q’s you have. However, If you have say a $2.00 off MFR Q (not RR) then Product A is now only $2.00 each, and if you buy 3, then you’ve only bought $6.00 worth of product and you wouldn’t meet the $10.00 requirement.

This has nothing to do with how you hand over coupons. You still hand over coupons MFR first, then WAGS Q’s, then RR’s.

Reply

Veronica August 25, 2011 at 5:45 pm

OOPS! Totally wrote that wrong! I meant to say that if you had a $2.00 WAGS Q, then Product A reduces down to $2.00 each, so you would only have $6.00 worth.

Geez, now I’ve really confused people. Sorry! If I could remove that comment I would!

I just wanted to say,I did the Revlon deal like you had said ata store on the way home, then later did it one more time by my house! The first one went fine, got my RRs But the second one was from the nightmare store and it didnt print the RR so the cashier said well you only paid 3 dollars so you wont get it,Isaid no you are wrong,so she called the mgr and said She THINKS you deserves a RR but she only spent 3 dollars,so instead of being bothered with me cause he knew I wasnt budging, he rang up some stuff printed my RRS but said when you use Mfg coupons your not supposed to get the RRS and I think everyone at this store believes that, I showed him I had also just purchased the colgate with a coupon and did get the 4 dollar rr, so anyway I came home to call corp.and the lady on the phone tried to tell me te same thing about using mfg coupons that I wouldnt get the rr, I told her she needs to find out the rules she is supposed to know, but earlier today I had called the catalina company because yesterday I didnt get my Keri rr and they tried to tellme the deal wasnt any more ,well the people at Catalina told me it was which I knew its till the 27th,and I called Catalina back just a bit ago to tell them they need to educate a bunch Walgreens employees!!

Reply

Jessica September 2, 2011 at 12:32 am

Do you have a phone number for the Catalina company? Is this who we call when we do not get our RR like we are supposed to?

Hello I wanted to do the P&G deal to get the $10 RR but I got all confused trying to work out my scenario. Can somebody help me out?The $30 you have to spend is before coupons or after?

Say I’ll buy 6 Gain detergent at $5 ea = $30
and use 6 $2 off coupon bringing it down to = $18

Will this scenario give me the $10 RR

Thanks for the help.

Reply

Heidi August 26, 2011 at 7:19 am

Technically your scenario works. HOWEVER, P&G coupons state limit of 4 like coupons per transaction, so you could buy 4 Gain + $10 in other stuff to get to $30. Manufacturer coupons DO NOT COUNT off the $30 mark in terms of the RR printing.

Reply

neiddy ruiz August 26, 2011 at 1:10 pm

Oops! I did not read my coupons before posting my question. Thank you so much for your help, without your help I was gonna make the mistake of spending $30 after coupons. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Reply

Mary August 26, 2011 at 5:23 pm

Yes, Dove Bodywash. There are two that I know of … one ECB deal at CVS that begins on 9/4 and another at Walgreens on Sunday (B1G1 50%off).

Reply

Rachel August 26, 2011 at 3:32 pm

Are the B1G1 50% off Gillette items included in the $10 RR deal? If so that is awesome – especially with the B1G1 coupons for Deodorant and Bodywash coming out this week!!!

Reply

Mary August 26, 2011 at 5:18 pm

One of the Walgreens I go to has an ugly habit of not putting price tags on products in their current ad … so most of the time it’s a guessing game with which items are included in deals like the P&G offer and how many I have to buy … most of the time Walgreens has reduced prices on products included on RR deals (like P&G) so be careful of prices and meeting that $30. Guess I will have to bug the cashiers for every item’s price check … I hate to be such a pain.

Reply

April August 27, 2011 at 10:51 am

My Walgreens is also horrible about not putting the sale price tags up 🙁 Definately makes things harder & very frustrating !!

Mary August 26, 2011 at 6:51 pm

check http://www.wepillagethevillage.com under the printables section. Most PDF coupons that have been pulled are saved there and even edited to have multiples per page.

Does anyone know if Walgreens accepts a BOGO coupon in combination with a cents off coupon for the same product? Trying to figure out some deals for the Gillette. So for example this is what I would LOVE to have work:

Buy (6) Gillette Deodorants Reg. Price $3.99 (BOGO 50% Deal) $1.99 ($11.94)
Buy (6) Gillette Body Washes $4.99 ($29.94)
Use (4) Buy One Gillette Deodorants get a Body Wash Free (-$19.96) (coupon limit of 4 like in transaction)
Use (3) $3.00/2 Gillette Deodorants (-$9.00)
Use (2) $2.00/1 Gillette Body Wash (-$4.00)
Total OOP: $8.92
+ $9.50 Register Rewards
Grand Total After Coupons & Register Rewards: $0.58 cent Money Maker!

Not sure if this will work! But any help will do 🙂

Look at the ad again. It looks like it is just the Gillette Clinical deodorant that is buy one get one 50% off.

Reply

Chrystal August 28, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I think you are right on the deodorant, but look at the old spice, you can do the same deal the way I read it. Also, it looks like you will get the $9.50 RR for gillette/old spice and the $10.00 for P&G products. At least that is what I am hoping, going to go try it and see if it works, if so, this is an unbeatable deal!

I went to Walgreen’s last night to use the Gillette deal since my husband needed razor cartridges. I bought the shave cream and body wash and deodorant…came out to $36 in Gillette products and no register rewards printed. The manager came over to help me and tried different scenarios for ringing items up and it seems that only the products shown in the add were ringing up toward the $35. She did an all body wash transaction and that didn’t print anything, but the all cartridge one did. Just wanted to warn you because the add doesn’t state what is included, just that the clinical deodorant is excluded.

Thanks.

Did this end up working?

Teresa August 30, 2011 at 6:25 pm

The body wash is NOT included in the $35 gillette deal (deodorants, razors, and razor refills). I tried several ways (the cashier was very patient) and finally the cashier just tried to ring up over $35 in body wash and the RR did not print. Here’s what I finally did:

Buy 4 old spice deodorants @ 5.49 = 21.96
Buy 4 old spice body wash @ 4.99 = 19.96
Buy 4 gillette deoderants @ 4.99 = 19.96
Buy 4 gillette body wash @ 4.99 = 19.96
50% off buy 1 body wash get 1 50% off (10.00)
total 71.84 before manufactures coupons
Use 4 BOGO old spice (21.96)
Use 4 BOGO gillette (19.96)
Use 4 $1 off body wash (4.00)
Use 4 $3 off deoderant (12.00)
OOP $13.92 (before tax)
Final cost after RR $4.42

Reply

Frederick August 30, 2011 at 7:12 pm

Because your total was 70 before coupons, could you have split your order into two transactions and got 2 10$ RR back? Thank you for letting me know body wash was not included! I called my store and they confirmed.

Reply

Teresa August 30, 2011 at 7:44 pm

No, I tried that (I actually split it 2 old spice bw and 2 deoderant, 2 gillette bw and 2 deoderant for a total of 35.92) since the body wash was not included in the $35 deal, (only the deoderant in my scenerio) the RR would not print.

Reply

Teresa August 30, 2011 at 7:49 pm

You are very welcome….I had to learn the hard way (actually the cashier had the hardest part). Still not a bad price for everything you get. My sons won’t need bw or deoderant for a while.

Reply

Frederick August 30, 2011 at 8:12 pm

It is still a good deal, but I wonder why it wouldn’t work when you spent over 35. Odd.

Reply

Teresa August 31, 2011 at 4:50 am

Because the body wash wa included in the $35 and they were not participating items…only the deoderant.

$3/2 used on all deoderant (P&G product) no beeps at the register. You should get a better deal than I did if you have $2/1 body wash…. 0.42 OOP.

Mary August 31, 2011 at 11:26 am

I’m confused … your already getting 4 deodorants free with Old Spice BOGOs. I’m assuming you presented the dollars off coupons first then the BOGOs (which are supposed to beep no matter what).

Reply

Teresa August 31, 2011 at 4:25 pm

Actually I presented my BOGO’s first.

Rang up all the items. Then I presented my coupons. When they subtract the $ off, they only put in the amount to subtract and it shows MQ. I had 16 items and presented 16 MQ.

Mary August 31, 2011 at 11:04 am

HEADS UP TO ANYONE TRYING TO USE BOGOs ON 50% OFF SALES … make sure the cashier keys in the price of the body washes at full price, not the 50% price. I noticed on BOGO coupons cashiers may mark the first price they see and not credit the coupon accordingly.

Reply

SUSAN August 31, 2011 at 12:35 pm

in this scenario… could u please tell me which coupons are Gillette & which are Old Spice???

Reply

Teresa August 31, 2011 at 4:32 pm

All MQ are gillette except the old spice BOGO. I’ve never had a problem using MQ from the same manufacturer (in this case P&G mens deoderant) to buy for example; old spice instead of gillette. Also applies to venus refills. The MQ shows a pic of one (venus embrace) and I buy venus pro.

I did the a couple P&G scenerios.
Buy 6 Oil of Olay Body Wash @ $6 each = $36
(3) BOGO Oil of Olay Body Wash ($18)
(3) $1 off one Oil of Olay Body Wash ($3)
OOP $15
RR $10
Final Cost after coupons and RR $5 or .83 each

Buy 4 Oil of Olay Body Wash @ $6 each = $24
(2) BOGO Oil of Olay Body Wash ($12)
(2) $1 off one Oil of Olay Body Wash ($2)
Buy 1 Tide Detergent @ $6
(1) Tide detergent ($1)
OOP $15
RR $10
Final Cost after coupons and RR $5 or $1 each

Reply

Mary August 29, 2011 at 11:19 pm

I believe the Olay body wash BOGO coupon is buy Olay Regenerist and get Olay body wash free. Regenerist skin care products start at $18.99 …. and on Olay body washes, some are BOGO 50% off, which if included, will effect meeting $30 purchase for RR. Has anyone done a purchase on using Old Spice and Gillette BOGO free coupons for the body washes and deodorants? Curious if they will accept $3/2 Gillette, or $1/1 OS coupons in addition to BOGOs.

Reply

Teresa August 30, 2011 at 8:09 am

The BOGO I used is NOT in the 8-28 P&G, it was an earlier insert (not even sure which one); however, the $1 off is in the 8-28 P&G.

Mary August 31, 2011 at 10:38 am

Thanks for clarifying Teresa, I’ve been doing research on how to score a lower OOP deal on these RR offers. On another note … BOGO I mentioned (Buy Olay Regenerist/Total Effect/or Pro-X moisturizer and get Olay body wash free), there is also one for a free secret deodorant if you buy Olay body wash AND there is also a BOGO for free body spray when you buy Secret deodorant. So that’s a total of 3 free items for buying Regenerist/Total Effects/ or Pro-X … and cheapest Olay Total Effects moisturizer I found is a little over $6 … I found these prices online and show (in red) which ones should be included in PG offer ($6 Olay products) and which ones are B1G1 50% off.

*** MONEYMAKER ***

After I posted a reply about not needing bw, your post made me take another look at the Oil of Olay facial moisturizer BOGO and do I have a SWEET deal for you.

Buy 5 Oil of Olay facial moistuirzer @ $6 ea = $30
Buy 4 Secret deoderant (not clinical) @ $4.99 ea = $19.96
50% off buy 1 deoderant get 1 50% off (5.00)
Total before MQ = $44.96
Use 4 BOGO oil of olay facial moisturizer and get 1 secret deoderant free (19.96)
Use 4 $5 off oil of olay facial moisturizer (20.00) – (these coupons expire today as they were in the last P&G)
Use 1 $3 off oil of olay facial moisturizer (3.00) 8-28 P&G
OOP $2
Final cost after $10 P&G RR – $8 MONEYMAKER

This isn’t just a scenerio, I literally just got home from WAGS.

Yes. Mine said Pro X, total effects, or something else (don’t have the coupon to look at anymore)…they worked on the regulary oil of olay…no cash register beeping!

Reply

Victoria Guest August 31, 2011 at 12:46 am

Yes, Gain was part of the P&G deal at my WAGS in Davison, MI
I purchased $32 worth of products and used coupons for each of my 8 items which took off $13.00 then I used $10 in RR from a previous week, plus I received $10 back in RR’s. I spent under $5 including tax (OOP). I got Bounce Dryer Bars and Tide Stain Release. Great Deal!!

I have a quick question about RR. I have my $3 RR from the Revlon deal last week, and today I went to Wags and brought my 4 bags of M&M’s to the register with my 2 $1/2 coupons. The cashier rings everything up and scans my RR and tells me that I can’t use it because the products do not exceed $3. Now my total was still $8 but because the bags of M&M’s were not more than $3 ea, I couldn’t use the RR. I have shopped at Wags at least once a week for months now and I have never had this problem. I was so frustrated that I told him to void my order and I walked out with out being able to do my P&G deal! I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Is this new?

Reply

Cecilia August 30, 2011 at 5:47 pm

The reason you couldn’t use the RR is you needed another item for the RR to attach to. You already had manufacturer coupons for each bag of M&M’s ($1/2 counts as a coupon towards two items). The RR is considered another manufacturer coupon so you needed a small item to use it against. It had nothing to do with the price remaining on the items (cashier was wrong). I used a $6 & $4 RR this morning against 2 cans of soup that were $1.50 each along with the estroven and $3 mfg coupon on the estroven. Worked fine.

I tried grabbing a caramel and he said to me, ” your not understanding what I am saying to you.” and went through the spiel about how 1 of my items had to be worth more than my register reward! At first I was like ok let me grab a piece of candy and that should work right? No. A whole big to do about something I have never heard of before. I came home and read the coupon policy for like the 300th time and there is absolutely nothing about your items having to be worth more than your RR. Love shopping at Wags, but the one by my house gets worse and worse very time I go!!

Reply

Sandy August 31, 2011 at 12:55 am

Shopping at Wags can be really hard work. I have $10 RR from the Omega Super Krill deal and I’ve definitely used them without having any one item that was $10!
Tonight I did the P&G buy for $30 and the cashier told me that if I used a Register reward to pay, it wouldn’t give me the P&G RR. In hindsight, I know she’s wrong, especially since I wasn’t going to use a P&G RR (though the amount of coupons might have been a problem). Now I only have one day left to roll or use two $10 RRs….

Mary August 31, 2011 at 10:24 am

Kerri, same thing happened to me when I went to a Walgreens in a close by town (to avoid clearing out the shelf at my local Walgreens) … cashier refused to accept mfr q and a wag q AND told me none of my items were over the price of RR I was presenting for payment. My husband was checking out at a second register (with Manager) and presented same RR I did. Manager accepted his RR. When I read over the RR policy it says nothing about a single item having to be valued more than RR. I understand your total purchase has to be more, but apparently cashiers now days are starting to interpret RR policy their own way. Next time call the manager over … you already spent what you needed to receive the RR, you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to be able to use it.

TERESA, I have a $3 off TWO Gillette Doedorants OR ONE Clinical Deodorant! Is the Clinical Deodorant included in your scenario???

Reply

Mary August 31, 2011 at 4:09 pm

Mine trip went exactly like Teresa’s but less oop since my Walgreen’s prices were cheaper:
4 Old Spice deodorants (2@$4.99 + 2@$4.79) =$19.56
4 Gillette deodorants ($4.99) =$19.96
4 Old Spice body washes ($4.49) =$17.96
4 Gillette body washes ($4.49) =$17.96
Subtotal: $75.44
B1G1 50% off body washes (4x$2.25 each) = -$9
Coupons used (presented in this order):
4 $3/2 Gillette deodorants,P&G product = -$12
4 $1/2 Old Spice products = -$4
4 BOGO free OS deodorants = -$19.56
4 BOGO free Gillette body washes = -$17.96
Paid = $12.92; got back $9.50 RR
Like paying $3.42

Only coupons that beeped were BOGOs, which is to be expected. Some of these coupons EXPIRE TODAY 8/31. I went prepared to pay more due to price differences, which in this case turned out in my favor. I also purchased a few candy bars cause I wasn’t sure how the BOGO & $$/2 coupons attached to items, sometimes they attach to 2 items.

Hi everyone,

I am new to couponing at Walgreens, and I’m trying to understand the RR. Can you use your RR on any products, or can they not be used on the same brand? For instance, if my RR says “Compliments of Colgate”, can I use it to purchase Colgate? Or is that not allowed. Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Thanks!

hi Gen! you can still use that RR to buy another colgate item but just remember that it wont print out another RR. hope this helps:)
