$.01 Clearance Cheddar Chex Mix for Some!

by Christie Bisbee on June 22, 2011

Several of you have e-mailed about finding clearance Chex Mix. Some of you are finding Chex Mix Cheddar Flavor 5.5oz bags on clearance for $.50 each!  If you find the same at your store you can get a SUPER deal!

If you use (3) of the $.50/1 coupons first and the in-ad coupon second, the register is programmed to give you overage. However, Walgreens policy is to adjust for overage. With that in mind, you can just use (1) manufacturer coupon and the coupon book and get all (3) for $.01. 🙂

BUY (3) Chex Mix Cheddar Flavor 5.5oz bags on Clearance $.50 each
-$.50/1 Chex Snack Mix 4.5oz+ or Chex 100 calorie snack (zip 80003)
-$.99/3 Chex Mix 5.5-12.6oz, Bugles 7.5oz (5250)
= $.01 for ALL (3)

BUY (3) Chex Mix Cheddar Flavor 5.5oz bags on Clearance $.50 each
-$.50/2 ; 1/2 Chex Mix or Chex 100 Calorie Snack, any 4.5 oz + – 05-01 or 06-12-11 SS
-$.99/3 Chex Mix 5.5-12.6oz, Bugles 7.5oz (5250)
= $.01 for ALL (3)

Just have them do a price check to see how they ring up for you. I didn’t find any at my store but I hope many of you do!

(Thanks Magen, Ann, Reggie & Carol!)

Just spoke with my local Wags and the manager said that the Chex clereance was a corporate mistake and they are not on clereance. Sigh.

Only one of the stores near me had this size. They were $1, and the $0.99/3 wouldn’t go through. I bought 10, and used (5) $1/2 coupons. The cashier had me buy a caramel and manually took off $0.99 – but now I am kicking myself because I should have pointed out that since I bought 10 he should have taken off $3.30! Oh well, $0.43/bag is what I ended up paying….cheap snacking for the kids.

Mine rang up for the $.50 but the wag cpn would not work. The manager even tried to put it in himself and it wouldn’t work. So I just used a $.50 off 1 and a $.50 off 2 and got all 3 bags for $.52 total. It’s not a penny, but I still thought it was worth it. The sale price was not marked, but it rang up correctly. Exciting!!!!!! 🙂

They weren’t marked for .50 but they did scan for the sale price. The walgreens coupon would not work and the manager even said that he couldn’t enter it because it states cannot be combined with any other offer. That means when things are clearanced that the wags coupons cannot be used with the clearanced or sale item. So I used my .50/1 and $1/2 and got them all for free, just didn’t get as many for free.

My store had them for 0.99 so I bought 3 but the manager would not let me use the wags coupon. It wouldnt scan and he said that they coupon wasnt made for using it with the cheaper chex mix, it was made for the more expensive 2.50 bag. I tried to explain that it met the size requirements but it wouldnt take it. 🙁 So I ended up just using my 3 0.50/1 coupons.

Yep. This was a corporate mistake and is probably fixed at most stores by now.

My walgreens would not take both coupons, they did take the one out of the book so I paid .50 for 3 bags. I went back today and got 4 for 1 dollar.
