SMOKING HOT Coke Zero Deal!!!!!

by Christie Bisbee on February 27, 2011

If you are a Coke Zero drinker you are going to be a VERY happy camper! The coupons that print out with the Coca-Cola deal his week are all Walgreens coupons, except the one for the Reese’s Piece’s.  So if you use the $2/1 Coke Zero Coupon on a second transaction, it will apply to ALL of your Coke Zero 12pks. SWEET!

My cashier did take the coupon from me after I used it, even though it’s a Walgreens coupon. But I didn’t care because I bought enough (pre-coupon) to have another set print. I suggest you do the same if you think your cashiers will take yours or won’t just type in the code. The coupons don’t expire till 5/21.

The ad says limit (3) on the 12 pks so it will be up to your store to allow you to buy (5) in one transaction. My store didn’t mind me buying (5). If your store does mind then throw in a couple of other qualifying items if you want to reach the $15 for another set to print.  Can you tell how excited I am to stock up on seriously cheap Coke Zero 12 packs? 😉

Here are the first 2 Transactions I did and then I’m going to repeat Transaction #3 until I can fill up my pantry!

TRANSACTION #1 BUY
(6) Hershey’s Minis or Drops 2/$5
Total = $15
(3) -$2/2 Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Drops, Cookies ‘n’ Creme Drops, Reese’s Minis, Reese’s Pieces, York Pieces, Almond Joy Pieces or Hershey’s Special Dark Pieces, any stand up bags 8 oz or larger – 01-30-11 SS x3/30
Total = $9 or $1.50 EACH (Get back $15 worth of Coupons!)

TRANSACTION #2 BUY
5 – Coke Zero $3.33 each (3/$10 price in my ad)
Total = $16.65
USE
1 – $2/1 Coke Zero 12pk (2057) (Takes off $10)
= $6.65 or $1.33 EACH! That’s $.11 a can!

Here are the coupons you’ll get at checkout…
$1/2 Coca-Cola 20 oz. Bottles (2053) x5/21
$2/1 Coca-Cola 8-pk, 75 oz. mini cans (2054) x5/21
$2/1 Coca-Cola Zero 12 pk (2057) x5/21
$3/2 Hershey’s or Reese’s Candy, 19.75 oz (2058) x5/21
$2/3 Hershey’s or Reese’s Pieces, Minis, or Drops, 8 to 10 oz (MQ) x5/21
$2/2 Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts 10 oz., Deluxe Whole Cashews 9.75 oz. or NUTrition 9.25- 9.75 oz (2060) x5/21
$2/2 Ritz 16oz, Wheat Thins 9 – 10 oz,  or Triscuit 9.5 oz (2061) x5/21
$1/2 Planters Flavor Grove Almonds 6 oz or Peanuts 16 oz (2062) x5/21

I’m confused on how you did this deal…Thanks

Am I reading this right….On the first transaction, you do not have a coupon. YOu purshase (3) 12 pks, coupons are printed and then third transaction you can use the coupon? Or do you need to purchase (5) 12 pks first round?

Reply

Sean February 27, 2011 at 6:29 pm

You’d have to buy 5 in the first round to get the coupons unless you have a friendly enough cashier to punch in the code without the coupon.

Reply

pam February 27, 2011 at 6:33 pm

where do u get the coupon from or whats the code

Reply

Sean February 27, 2011 at 7:28 pm

The coupons are from purchasing $15 worth of the products in the promotion. The code for the Coke zero coupon is 2057.

Denise February 27, 2011 at 6:36 pm

I see…that works! Hmmmmm….may have to head up there and use a few RR from Motrin! Thanks Sean

I am confused, my add says 3/$12, which would make the 12 packs $4 each, not $3.33. Where is the $3.33 per 12 pack price coming from?

Reply

Christie February 27, 2011 at 6:55 pm

Amanda – From my ad. My ad price is 3/$10. So you’d buy (4) to reach $16. Then your second transaction would be $8, or $2 each after the coupon.

Shana February 27, 2011 at 7:00 pm

My ad says 4/$14…which makes them $3.50/12 pk I guess it just depends on the region

Christie February 27, 2011 at 7:11 pm

We’ll have until 5/21 to use these $2/1 Coke Zero coupons. So if your area had a higher price just wait for a sale to grab these! The deal is good ALL month long.

My ad says 4/$14 also. Makes it confusing that it is not the same price all across the nation. Makes it confusing because the blogs I follow are not from my town. Thanks for helping me figure this out.

$155 sure is a lot for 6 bags of candy Christie! 🙂

Maybe I should try Coke Zero instead of Diet Coke. How do they compare??? Of course right now, I’m using 23 coupons from My Coke Rewards for FREE 12 packs…

Reply

Christie February 27, 2011 at 9:23 pm

Nice! I have always drank diet coke but I like Coke Zero better. Not that different but it tastes a little more like real coke. I still drink diet coke when coke zero isn’t available.

Caitie February 27, 2011 at 9:10 pm

I like Coke Zero better than Diet Coke- it tastes sweeter.. Of course I’m a Diet Mountain Dew fanatic.. But when I want something different I do like Coke Zero!

Thanks in advance!

I’m shocked they’re Walgreens coupons. I wonder if Walgreens does get reimbursed for it because I’ve never seen a Walgreens coupon code start with “2”. The monthly coupon book, diabetes & you, etc all start with “5”. in-ad coupons start with “1”… hmm 😕

I was talking to one of the cashiers at Walgreens the other day and she told me that the Company, NOT Walgreens gives the register rewards as well as the coupons. That they do this for new products just coming out or in case of cokes etc when they have a surplus that have been in their stock for awhile.

So if you have 1 coupon for the coke zero …it will apply to ALL the coke zero products in your transaction? how do u know for sure? the walgreens I go to never seem to work out the way your scenarios go. :/ do they have to scan it for each item, or just one scan and it deducts from all like the in-ad coupons do?

Reply

Mindy A. February 28, 2011 at 8:18 am

**and when I say how do you know for sure, I meant how can I find out for sure before I go up there with all my stuff and end up having to cancel my transaction?

Reply

Christie February 28, 2011 at 9:10 am

Mindy – It would apply to all the coke zero 12pks in your order. That is how Walgreens coupons always work in 99.9 of stores, 99.9 of the time.

I can only share how it went for me and how it worked at my register and at the stores in my area. I have no idea what your store, cashier, manager, etc. is going to do or say so I can’t tell you “for sure” what your experience is going to be like.

Thanks Christie. Itll be worth a try…seems like out here in El Paso, Tx no one likes for you to use coupons and they make it hard as possible! I appreciate all the tips and help you give!! Thank you.

I did the deal before I read my add, my store was 3/13, I did not need all the candy, and the soda turned out to be a so-so deal for me.

Carm March 1, 2011 at 3:34 pm

Just an FYI – my local Walgreens (SD) and their computers must have figured this out. After I completed Transaction 2 the coupons didn’t print out. I asked the cashier and she said they are using the totals before coupons to determine if you are eligible for the print out. Just a word of caution if you intent to repeat this, may not work for all.

Reply

tpv March 1, 2011 at 10:48 pm

Hmm I ‘m confused. I thought it was suppose to be determined before coupons to reach the $15.00 total. Isn’t that what you said? Could there be another reason they didn’t print?

Reply

Christie March 1, 2011 at 10:55 pm

For me it was BEFORE coupons on Sunday & Monday when I did the deal.

Katie March 1, 2011 at 5:54 pm

I just tried this at my walgreens in IN & it did not work it only took $2 off so I asked a Mgr about it & he said it only takes $2 off from one. I then called wags customer service she said same thing:(

Christie thanks for this deal! I haven’t done it yet. I hope they don’t change anything by the time I go! The link above to all the participating items is not working. Just letting you know. Thanks for all your help!

Grr… had a pushy cashier today… got the candy to get the $15 in coupons… and she yanked them out 3 at a time and they printed funky… hope her rush doesn’t come back to bite me in the butt… 🙁

This is a fantastic deal, I have been able to keep my origional coupon, for coke, and still have it after 3 uses, they have given the coupon back to me..is this normal?? also after the 2nd transaction i got another set of coupons but on 3rd transaction – same items as 2nd transaction i didnt get coupons..any thoughts…more importantly, even if it is 15$ after coupons…how long will the coupons be printing, just this week?? in other words do i have to load up this week or do I have until 5/21

On another note if that wasnt already a mouth full, if the store doesnt have items on rr such as motrin this week, are you just out of luck or is there a way to get the deal with a rain check or different size item or…..

thank you sooo much for your help!!!

Reply

Christie March 2, 2011 at 4:39 pm

Don – I wonder if some of the stores have figured it out and they aren’t printing unless you have $25 after the coupon. I had it print for me when I did it but that was on Sunday and Monday! The coupons should be printing until 3/26. 🙂

As for the motrin, you could ask for a raincheck, they won’t give you a RR but you could get it at the $3 price and just get them free with the coupon.

Christie – can you post on FB if you have confirmation that the deal is NOT working any longer? I was planning on trying again tomorrow (got some Monday and the deal worked GREAT – thanks!!)

This deal does still work! I did it this morning. My q didn’t scan so first the cashier just put it in as $2 I asked her to put in the coupon number and it rung up $10 off. So yes it does work!

Reply

Christie March 4, 2011 at 8:33 am

SWEET! Thanks Delana – I haven’t had a minute to go back and do it again. Can’t wait! 🙂

yolanda March 4, 2011 at 8:24 pm

It worked for me too, i did it today and she scanned the coupon and it took $10 off so only paid $1.47 because I used 2 rr’s from baby magic that I had and of course I bought to ramen noodles with my transaction so I could use the rr’s and still the coupons printed out of the machine!

Reply

Leslie M March 5, 2011 at 8:53 pm

I bought 4 Hershey’s Bliss (4 x $3) and a 12 pack of coke zero ($3.34), total of $15.34 before qs and RRs (paid $11 oop in the end), and the coupons did not print.
I am so sad 🙁
I’m thinking it might be because the Hersheys Bliss is not pictured in the ad, but the size of the bag matches the descritptions.
Are these coupons like a catalina, where I could call the company and inquire about it?

Abbey March 10, 2011 at 6:22 pm

I was bummed…My cashier (asst. mgr.) said the Coke cpn was a MQ and it only took it off of one. I ended up returning the other 3 12 pks. b/c it went against everythin in me to buy a 12pk. for $3.50.

Funny thing is I would have never bought all the candy, which we don’t need, had I known that the cpn wasn’t going to work on all the 12pks. bummer.

Reply

trudy March 15, 2011 at 11:58 pm

yeah, I just tried this today in Fort Worth, TX. The coke coupon is a manufacturers coupon, so Im not even going to try the coke zero thing cause I know it won’t apply to all of them. Bummer.

Reply

Christie March 16, 2011 at 12:13 am

Trudy – I have been buying Coke Zero for (2) weeks and it takes off $2 for each one. I buy (5) at a time. One of my friends who is in TX did it too and it worked for her too.

theresa v March 16, 2011 at 10:55 pm

Christie-
The coupon has changed in Michigan. I did the deal with candy first to get the coupons then bought the the coke zero and it took off 10.00 like you said. ThenI used those coupons to buy 4 packs and other items that qualify. The coupon took off 8.00 correctly. The coupons that printed out that time were coded differently. The. Ole zero now was coded as a manufacturer coupon. It has another code on it. I tried it and it would not scan because it was printer faintly. The cashier put the code in at it just kept beeping. The entered only 2.00 so I said no way and kept my coupon.I will try again but I was terrible to void that transaction. I messed up all shoppers and the cashier’s register locked up….very embarassing

michelle March 22, 2011 at 11:28 pm

Yep they changed it here in Missouri last week…But before then I loaded up…all of my coupons since last week say “manufactor” coupons..
