Walgreens Reader Shopping Trip 5/9

by Christie Bisbee on May 9, 2012

Here’s an awesome shopping trip that Denise shared with us! She did use Register Rewards to pay (so the Hunt’s were her fillers). Assuming you aren’t using any Register Rewards to pay, here’s how to score these items for just $3.94 or possibly totally FREE!

Buy
(1) Lysol No touch $8.99
(1) Witch Hazel $4
(3) Aveeno body wash $5.49 each
(2) Aveeno body lotion $4.99 each
Total = $39.44

Use
(1) $5/35 Daily Feats Walgreens Coupon
(1) $3/1 Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System, exp. 6/26/12 (ALL YOU Mar ’12)
(3) $2/1 Aveeno Body Wash or Hair Care Product, exp. 5/30/12 (SS 04/15/12)
(2) $1/1 Aveeno Hand & Body or Baby Lotion, exp. 5/30/12 (SS 04/15/12)
Total = $23.44, Get Back $10 RR Aveeno, $2.50 RR lysol, $4 RR Witch Hazel
Total = $6.94, $3 MIR Lysol No-Touch Kitchen Starter Kit , exp. 5/9/12 (ALL YOU Apr ’12)
Total = $3.94 for EVERYTHING!

And if you find the Try Me Free on the Witch Hazel the whole thing would be FREE! If you have Register Rewards you’d like to use to pay, then just buy some of the Hunt’s tomato sauce like Denise did.

(Thanks for the Awesome shop & picture Denise! :))

Why do you need filler items? I’m new to the RR and have yet to attempt to obtain them, till I know the ins and outs. lol

you lucky! Yesterday, I went and get few….I don’t able use more than 4 MQ $2 ea on aveeno. Cashier were very strict and always took FOREVER. Told me it has used only 4 coupons as it shown limited. I was like GRRRR. OK. I like other Walgreen store better this one in West Plains, MO. for example buy one get one free, had to use only one coupon bc of their system will not accept. Other store, do accept 2 coupons. WEIRD!!!!

Out of Pocket it was actually more than $3.94 correct? Or did you do multiple transactions using the RR?

hi, is this price of body wash net of $2.00 off they were saying on their price? I wanted to know how is that $2.00 off they’re saying working on this aveeno deal, here in Hawaii I called the store and they say Aveeno body wash is $6.49 each, so that means I only need to get 4 of body wash(4x$6.49=$25.96) to get the $10.00/$25.00 purchase of this aveeno deal, thanks so much:)

I’m sure your prices in Hawaii are going to be higher. And there are various types of Aveeno body wash. So if they are $6.49 in your area – you should be good with 4. 🙂

I already did my Walgreens shopping for the week, sad I missed the Aveeno deal, must have read through the matchups too quickly. Anyways, great job to this reader!

I can’t figure out how to get the daily feats coupon. I signed up and have 600 points….not sure how many points are needed and how to print the coupon?

You definitely have enough points – look under rewards and scroll thru them and you should see it there. I think you can get one every 500 points 2x per month. 🙂

Awesome! I found some good deals today too. Bic Soleil Citron razors (4 count, green package) on clearance for $3.49–used the $3 off coupon from last weeks paper, .49! Got last 2. Dial body wash is bogo free, used 2 1.50 coupons. AND they have Hello Kitty on the front, too cute. Got the Witch Hazel, no MIR on any of them, and 2 Pure Ice Crackle nail polish 75% off, down to 99 cents.

I love the poptart deal right now, because you can’t usually roll RR on the same kind of product you got them from, but this one you can. I stocked my family up.

I bought 4 Pop Tarts and did 2 separate transactions. I got $2.00 RR when I did the first transaction, but when I used the $2.00 RR to pay for the second transaction, I did not get the RR. The Cashier told me there was a limit of 1 reward per customer per day and he could get in trouble for me doing 2, but I did not get the RR on the 2nd one. I was on my lunch hour though and did not want to hassle with voiding and re-doing the transaction and I know if I go back today the Cashier will give me an attitude. Always leary about the rolling RR’s I hear about, b/c they never seem to work for me. The only exception was the Kotex U Tampon RR, which was a nice surprise.

I am thrilled to see the Hunt’s sauce as a filler. I never thought about those and I use them in recipes so often! I will definitely be using those for fillers in the future. Thanks so much for posting!
