Hi Michelle – Yes on my right side bar, right between the facebook and twitter icons. That little orange icon is what you’ll want to click. 🙂

I think there is a typo on the Nyquil. Is it 2/$10? That would make the math right. Otherwise, it would be free before coupons! If that is true, I’m buying a truckload.

Thanks for the matchups!

Serafina – It’s 2/$10. No need to rent a truck!

Hi there…I am new to Walgreens in general. If I have 3 of the Colgate coupons, can I use them all at once? Basically, will 3 different RR coupons print?

Reply

Christie September 9, 2010 at 8:22 pm

Hi Donna – Welcome! You’ll need to buy your (3) Colgates in (3) different transactions for the RR to print. Also make sure you don’t pay for Colgate with a RR from Colgate or it won’t print either. You can read more about the RR program HERE.

Quick Question- new to Walgreens, I usually shop at CVS or Rite Aid. When there is a Q in the Sept. coupon book, will the coupon ring up only once for that item- or if I buy multiple of that item, will it take off the amount of the coupon for each item? There is a $1/1 Q for Playtex in the book- if I buy 4 boxes, will it take off $4 or just $1? Thanks!

Christie September 11, 2010 at 11:01 am

Hi Emily, Welcome! – It will take off the amount for each one. So it should take off $4. There is usually a limit printed on the coupon but the register doesn’t go by that.

I’ve been looking for a place on your website to receive emails also. When I read that comment I tried it but I couldn’t figure it out. I clicked on the orange icon but couldn’t get passed that.

Hi Christie –
I really enjoy your site and make sure I check in with you all the time. I got really frustrated and left my Wags today trying to buy three of the Garnier haircolor. I finally returned everything for the second time and left with nothing. This is a bummer for me since I really like this product and use it all the time. I used the 3 $3.00 mfg coupons had a filler item and used a $5.00 RR from something else ( not this brand). The RR did not print and the manager insisted it was because I used a RR – tried to explain and then he insisted it was because I used “ALL THOSE COUPONS”..I tried to politely refer to their new written policy he told me I was reading it wrong. I have never had any issues like this before – I do my homework check the sites and comments. Now I see what people are talking about …I may be done with Wags..too hard and embarrassing. I read on another site that it is because the RR is for spending $20.00 and I remember that the haircolor rang up at $5.99 and the clerk did not even need the in-ad coupon, this too is the first time this has ever happened to me …I always need the in-ad coupon or have to pay full price. I now wonder if this is why the RR didn’t print? Sorry for the long comment, thought I might help others that may experience this. Also, from you post above it looks like this deal continues this week is that correct? Is the price $5.99 this week as you state above? Thanks so much

Creative – Sorry you had such a frustrating experience. What happened to you is that the new prices were ringing up at the register (the prices that start in the Sunday ad). So when the price rang up $5.99 instead of $7.99 you needed (4) instead of (3) to get you above the $20. Most registers will flip over to Sunday prices on Saturday late afternoon or evening (although Sunday RR deals don’t usually start until around 2am). You can still buy (4) and use (4) coupons and you should get the RR.

As far as explaining to staff… when I am at a store where I don’t know the staff and something goes wrong, I just ask for my money and my coupons back and leave. I used to try and educate the staff but I don’t anymore. It’s way too frustrating. Hope you are able to get it tomorrow.

christie, when do the old prices stop ringing up on Saturday ? I have been lucky I think when I stop at 8:30 on saturday night and the previous weeks signs are all down, but the prices still ring up and RR still print. Thanks!

Reply

Christie September 12, 2010 at 1:58 am

Well, normally Saturday evening you’ll have both the prices from the week that’s ending (and all the RR) and the new prices (but not RR) that start Sunday. This was an unusual situation because the item was on sale both weeks and rang up the lower Sunday price. Hope that helps!

@Christie – Thanks. I have experienced the signs being down but never the new prices at the register. Thanks for the clarity on unusual circumstances, ha turns out I ran out Saturday night thinking I would miss the opportunity for $5.99 price, not knowing that it would be continued another week gah! You are so right about not trying to educate the staff, wise – I will just drive further to the other Walgreens where the staff is more informed. Thanks Again for all you do and letting me vent, while giving wise advice 🙂

Hi Christie,

Last week i purchased 3 Garnier Herbashine, used 3 coupons and no RR…you suggested I return them since it’s pointless arguing w/o any ad to show them. Well, I went back today, purchased 4, used 4 coupons and still no RR. Since I am now able to show them this week’s ad, I’d inquired about the RR. The manager re-scanned w/o coupons and still didn’t print RR….so, she just gave me $5 cash 🙂

Christie September 13, 2010 at 6:51 pm

Hey Debbie – Glad it all worked out! Obviously they have some kind of screw up with their machine at your store! Glad she gave you the $5 cash!

Wow Christie, you are awesome! I have a question about the Lever soap, when I went to buy it, there was no RR sign on it so I was not sure. Where is this R&R listed? I love that Lever soap! Thanks again, you are awesome! (Did I already tell you that?)

Christie September 16, 2010 at 11:01 pm

Grace – LOL. Thanks, you are cracking me up! The Lever is in the ad for this week it’s just sort of tiny. Look for it in the ad bottom of the page mid ad somewhere and you’ll see the RR deal is written in tiny print right above it.
