Scenarios with Register Rewards 5/23

by Christie Bisbee on May 22, 2010

Here is my scenario for someone WITH Register Rewards. You’d spend $1.00 out of pocket (OOP), get $51.75 in merchandise, and end up with $12 in Register Rewards!

Another way to look at it is you’ll start with $11.50 in Register Rewards & pay $1 OOP, bringing your “cost” to $12.50.  You’ll end up with $12 in Register Rewards so basically you are getting over $51.75 in merchandise for $.50 plus tax. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE coupons! 😉

I highlighted the MQ (that count in your coupon total) in blue and those that don’t in red.

I am confused… I thought you could only get one RR with each purchase and you are getting several with each transaction in this senario…am I wrong???? could someone please explain this to me, I am still fairly new at this coupon shopping thing…only about three weeks in…and all the information is overwhelming…..Thank you for the explaination and all teh hard work that goes into helping me know how to get the best deals!!!

Hi Ann, Welcome!
You can get more than one RR just not more than 1 RR per transaction that corresponds to a specific item.

So, in other words… if you buy 2 complete contact lens solution you’ll only get 1 RR, not 2. However if you buy 1 complete contact lens solution and 1 goody RR you’ll get 2 RR, one for complete and one for goody.

I hope that makes sense and you can check out my FAQ for more information.

Christie,

If I have two different colgate coupons can we use both on one transaction for the same item. I am very new to the coupon world and as Ann very overwhlemed. I really thank you for all your information. My best wishes for you!

Hi Nina,

You were looking at the Super Deals. What I do there is list all the coupons I know of available for that item since not everyone will have every coupon. In the scenarios you’ll see I only have 1 Manufacturer coupon listed per item.

You probably have 2 Manufacturer coupons so you can only use one of those per item. Use whichever one is a higher value. In the future if Walgreens was offering a store coupon, like a coupon in the ad then you can use both. One store coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. I know it’s a little overwhelming at first but you’ll be a pro in no time! 😉

This is what I am confused about-

Get $2 RR WYB Colgate Total Advanced or Enamel Strength, 4oz $2.99
-$1/1 Colgate total toothpaste, 4.0 oz or larger – All You, April 2010
-$1/1 Colgate Total Toothpaste, (ETS), “Redeem at Wags”, Diabetes & You Magazine
-$.75/1 Colgate Total PRINT
-$.50/1 Colgate Toothpaste, 05-23-10 SS

Can I use all the colgate coupons that you have listed in one transaction? That would be Awsome!

Are the “in ad” coupons for Walgreens in the small book that you can only get at the store or the insert that comes in the paper? Thanks!

Exactly, those little coupons in the ad are Walgreens coupons.

My Wags starts Sat at 5PM for the next weeks deals can’t wait to go. I am going to buy
1 complete contact solution
1 goody hair band
use 2 $4.50 RR from old spice
use 1 $2off complete coupon 5-16-10 RP
I just need a super cheap filler so I can use all 3 ‘coupons’. Any ideas anyone?

Kristina, most Wags RR don’t start printing till 2am so you may want to check before you go at 5pm. Even though the prices might be the Sunday price the RR probably won’t print, so just be sure!

Kristina, I was just coming here to post the exact same scenario! My Wags has little mini highlighters on clearance for 9 cents so using that as a filler I will only pay 7 cents per transaction or 83 cents after taxes are applied. I bet you can find something cheap like that to use too.

I’ll cross my fingers for .09 highlighters too!

Thanks for the RR info. I was in Wags tonight and the shelf tags for the RR on the contact solution were already up @ 8pm. However no RR printed. I spoke with the asst. mgr and asked her what time the RR usually went into effect. It seems that the computer runs the Sun RR from 12am-1am. Oh well! I’ll get the contact solution on Sun 🙂

Try a food pantry, or a domestic violence shelter.
