How would I go about lookinf into deals like this in my area? I’m in KS, Johnson County if that helps.
ID – Idaho Press Tribune $13.50/month with 5 extra papers on Sunday. If you live within zip code 83687 its $11/month! 🙂
Little question – do you have to be in that area to get the paper? Or can you get it mailed to you? I’m in TN, and am curious as to whether I can get papers from other areas or not.

Does anyone know about getting a subscription to a paper outside my local area?
I spent some time on the phone earlier this week with papers from GA, TX and LA, asking about subscriptions.
They were all to happy to subscribe me, but they all said that the coupons and inserts were not included!!!

DOLLAR TREE stores are ALWAYS only $1.00 for Sunday papers! =) Get there when it opens they go FAST! Also, make sure to LOOK inside to be sure the inserts are in them!
that is cheap! i am paying 8 dollars a week for 4 papers bought at the store. I am afraid that if I get it mailed someone will steal my inserts. I get the Los Angeles times because they have more coupons than my local paper. i dont know how they compare to the orange county register.
Andrea, the OC Register is getting better as far as lining up with the Times for coupons. (I get both.) That being said… these rates for the OC Register are less than 1/2 the price of the best deal the Times is running!
Dollar Tree in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex does not offer the newspaper for a dollar. We have one of the most expensive newspapers going. I only order the Sunday paper and it is $8.98 a month. Buy one in the store and they are $3.00. I buy the Saturday/Sunday for $3.00 and pick up the Hispanic newspaper on Saturday at CVS, they let me get five of those because they have coupons. I called the Dallas News and asked if they would make a deal for two Sunday papers, it was double what I was paying, $17.96. I would love to see if you could help in any way with getting the newspaper here to sell me five papers at a reduced rate. I even tried calling the Fort Worth Star Telegram and they wouldn’t do it either.
