GRAB 2pk Expo Markers FREE!

by Christie Bisbee on August 8, 2011

I am seriously LOVING this NEW Expo Markers coupon! If you don’t want to wait till next week to get the FREE 6pk you can use this coupon to grab the 2pk of Expo Markers on sale this week for FREE! The coupon is good on ANY (2) packs of Expo Markers, not just the washables, even though that’s what’s pictured on coupons.com.

You’ll need the coupon adjusted down by $.02 since the coupon is for $2 and your total will be $1.98. So bring a copy of the Walgreens coupon policy with you just in case you need it.

***DEAL IDEA***

Hi Christie,
I have a question about the monthly coupon booklets at Walgreens. I noticed in the fine print of all the coupons it says “limit one coupon per customer per offer”. What does this really mean? I called corporate to ask them and they said you can only use this coupon once in a transaction. But from previous experiences at Wags, if I’m buying 2 items and using a coupon out of the booklet it will take off the amount of the coupon twice. So I guess I don’t really understand the fine print.

It’s probably to prevent people from clearing the shelves.

I went during my lunch break and the computer would just beep and not take off the $2… they had to call a manager over and over ride it. All the Keri lotion was long gone 🙁

Kelly – Walgreens is confused too apparently – if you look under Walgreens Advertisements under the categories in my side bar you’ll see lots of ads taken out by Walgreens encouraging you to come in and stack MQ with coupons from the book. I have not had issues stacking them. They are Wags Qs not MQs. And yes they take it off for each item you buy.

You can use both from what I understand but you will need a filler item so you can have as many coupons as you do items, at least that is what I have always done.

You should only need the filler item if you are going to use a Register Reward (since they are considered manufacturer coupons) … Walgreens coupons don’t count towards the ‘coupon to item’ requirement. HOWEVER, several Walgreens in my town are starting to ‘read the fine print on Instant-Value Coupons’, where it says ‘Manufacturer coupon good at any Walgreen’s.’ Some cashiers consider it a Manufacturer coupon and won’t accept it along with another mfr q, but others will accept it if it scans (which it always does.)
Side Note: I usually print off the coupon from Walgreen’s website (they read: ‘Vendor funded coupon’) and take it in just in case I have any issues … funny how I haven’t needed to pull them out since I’ve started printing them. Before I started doing this I even had a cashier read it word for word to me and state that they have been instructed not to accept both, and offered to show me the ‘sign’ in the Employee Only area where it states this.

Tried to do this in the Union City Walgreens, they wouldn’t adjust the price. They said it wasn’t allowed. So I winded up buying 3 instead.

The coupon beeped for me. The manager rang me up and said she could only adjust the coupon down to .99 cents for ONE package 2 ct. She said that the coupon was not for 2 packages of 2ct but instead for 1 package of 2ct. So I used 2 of the coupons for only 2 packages of 2ct. After leaving I was very confused because of the wording of the coupon. I believe the coupon is for 2 packages of ANY count. As a result I didn’t recieve 4 free packages but instead only 2 which is not so bad. I honestly don’t need that many. My question is….was the manager wrong in her reading the coupon?

Yes she was certainly wrong – with (2) coupons you should have had (4) packages FREE. With your transaction they’ll get reimbursed $4 which isn’t what they sold you, they just sold you (2).
