Coupons for 2 FREE Trial Pairs of Contacts

by Christie Bisbee on August 1, 2011

If you have a contact lens wearer in your family or are considering it I have a couple of coupons you can print for a FREE trial pair of contacts!

Just click on “Get a FREE Trial” to the left. These usually go fast since they have a limited amount every month. The coupon is for a FREE Trial pair of Bausch+Lomb PureVision2 contact lenses.

You can also get a coupon for a FREE trial pair of Soflens daily disposable lenses. Just click on “Get a Free Trial” to the right.

Both my hubby and I wear contact lenses and I try to take advantage of Free trials and rebates as often as I can since contacts aren’t cheap!

You can print both and see which your eye doctor thinks is best for you!

Question…when you use these free trials, do you just go in the eye doctor and ask for them? or do you have to be in there for an eye exam to get them? I printed off the PureVision2 one, and the fine print says that I must be a new contact lense wearer or being fitted for a new pair of lenses. So I wasn’t sure how that worked. I am not due for an eye exam for another year, but I am planning on going in soon to get new glasses (I’m a contact lense wearer). Thanks!

You will need a contact lens evaluation- the part of the exam you have yearly to update your contact lens prescription and then you can get the “free” trial pair. You can just ask your eyecare provider to try the Purevision 2 lenses if you would like and get a free trial pair that way also- no coupon required.
You can’t just walk in and say you want those lenses, because they need to make sure they come in your prescription and that the size they come in will fit on your eye, thus you will need the evaluation part!

I’m an optometrist (eye doctor) so I figured I’d weigh in on this one. All trial contact lenses are free. You do not need a coupon for them. Most people receive their free trial pair of contacts at their annual eye exam.

You must have a contact lens fit in order to receive contact lenses. Contacts are medical devices that need to be fit to your eyes. If a lens does not fit properly or is not worn properly it can cause PERMANENT VISION LOSS.

If you bring a coupon like this to an eye doctor that you are not established with, you will need to pay for a contact lens exam in order to receive your trial pair of contacts. In my practice, after that first initial pair of trial lenses I require purchase of additional lenses in order to receive another pair of trials. This is because each company refills your trial sets based upon your sales. If I were to only give trials and no one ordered contacts from me, then the company would stop providing me with trials.

Personally, I wouldn’t waste the ink printing contact lens coupons. You should leave it up to your doctor which lenses are the best for you.
