Walgreens Shopping Scenario 11/28

by Christie- on November 27, 2013

lightbulb2Here’s my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for the week of 11/28. In this scenario you’ll get $114.84 in merchandise, after sales and coupons you’ll pay as little as $15.10 out of pocket (depending on your coupons) and end up with a $8.50 RR. That’s like getting everything for $6.60!

This is an exceptionally great ad, so there are 8 ideas that I’ve listed for you here. You don’t have to do them all. You don’t have to do them in 1 day. In the first 6 transactions, you won’t burn any register rewards. Transactions #7 and #8 do cost money, but they are excellent deals. You can stop wherever you like, or you can pick and choose which items you would really like to have, just remember the filler/item ratio, and if you are duplicating any items be sure not to pay with the RR from that item.

The Swisse, Gelusil, Zim’s Freeze, and Digestive Advantage are still working during this sale, but I have left them off the scenarios since there were so many other items, and it’s likely you’ve already bought these. However, if you have the coupons for the Swisse and the Gelusil, these are still money makers. If you have the coupon for the Zim’s, this one is still free, and the Digestive Advantage requires no coupons to be free. If you need these, you can still buy them.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THESE TRANSACTIONS

-) You can’t have more MQ than items! Blue = MQ
-) You don’t have to do these in one day, just pick up where you left off.
-) I always bring some extra fillers with me to the register, in case of an emergency!

Thank you……. I was thrilled to see this. My store ordered me several items and I was wondering how to break it up..Normally I leave it to God and it works out..now with this it will be easier I had a cast put on my hand this week and can’t work a pencil to scribble it out…so thanks very much.

I was wondering, when you say you had your store order you several items, how soon before the sale are you able to do that? I have never tried at my store, not sure if they will. But I live in a small town and very often they do not have very many of one item. It then makes it difficult to follow the transactions. and when I am in line with a zillion people behind me, I get a little nervous! LOL
thanks for your help

I have always wondered this as well. ..

I usually order about a week ahead of time, before they make their order for the next truck. Just ask when they get their truck in and what day they do their ordering. Then just make sure you “order” before that time. Always talk to a manager.

Wondering the same thing, too.

There is a 25% off you purchase coupon at Walgreens.com to print for Friday only. Couldn’t you use that in conjunction with these scenarios and save even more?

Reply

Kristin November 28, 2013 at 7:54 am

The 25% coupon is only off regularly priced items.

In transaction #3, you indicate buying Aussie shampoo or conditioner and getting a $3 P&G RR. I see that the Aussie is on sale this week with the Herbal Essence but is it really included in the RR deal for Black Friday?

I love the dream water works great using my b1g1 coups to hopefully stock up

Isn’t there a monthly deal on those that if you buy 2 Dream Waters, you get 1,000 points? Pretty sure there is.

Reply

Sharell November 28, 2013 at 8:35 am

if there is, I didn’t get any points for mine. I did 3 transaction where I bought 2 because the coupon is bogo. The coupon took off $3, so its a money maker even when you buy 2!

I try to order one to two weeks before the sale….sometimes it is hit or miss. ( the warehouse may not have enough of a item). #1 rule–don’t hold up the line…if there is a large line do one sale and go to back of line. I can usually check out in photo or elsewhere to not back things up.If anyone is wondering — your reward card will let you do 20 transactions — then you need a mangers override. This time I am shopping for the church’s shut ins and the food bank.

I have a question did the black friday deals last year at walgreens and the RR would only 1 per transaction Does anyone know if this will happen again this year or is it different?? Thanks so much for your help in advance

The Reach RR didn’t print for me… so the manager tried 3 different Reach products and none of them still didn’t produce the $3.00 RR. We were scratching our heads since the ad clearly states that it does produce a Register Reward. So to save the hassle he gave me $3.00 back in cash instead.

my wags was completely disorganized-they had not put any of the signs up. The manager thought the sale started tomorrow! Anyways i did okay-I tried to stick to just what I needed and bought 20 items, including 3 fillers. I ended up spending $16OOP and got back $32 in RR. I did have a $10 RR to start.
