Walgreens Mid Week Ad & Coupons 12/7

by Christie Bisbee on December 7, 2011

Most areas will get a 4 day ad this week, in addition to the regular ad.

The mid-week, which begins today, Wednesday 12/7, will contain additional Register Reward Deals and a few other sales. You’ll want to confirm that your area is participating in this special mid-week ad before attempting these deals.

Sometimes the ad will come in the local paper or be available in stores. Other times I’ve confirmed by scanning items to see if they are ringing up the sale price.

I want to get the strawberry lubricant to roll my dove and revlon RRs but I’m a little embarrassed buying like 4 of these things. I don’t know if I’m being immature about it. Really wish there was another free item!

Mel December 8, 2011 at 1:24 pm

I’m the same way. Trying to get the courage not to care, since it’s useful AND there’s also a coupon for it!!

Edda December 10, 2011 at 11:03 am

Ohh!!! Don’t worry when I went to paid at the cosmetic counter I had 3 and the cashier is a lady on her early fifties. She kept looking at the bottom of the boxes and I said out loud “yes, they are lubricants” “those can make a lovely gift for a bridal shower and of course for my personal use too”. At least I was able to get a big laugh out of her.
I bought 7 and I hope to use them before they expire on sep 1918 (1 bottle per year not bad hahaha…).

I must say that this:

“Get $5.99 RR WYB Wet Kiwi Strawberry Flavored Lubricant 3.5 oz $5.99 = FREE!”

is a lot more exciting, and useful, for me and my wife than another week of having to roll Register Rewards on more toothbrushes and toothpaste. .

Julie December 7, 2011 at 4:59 pm

I was able to print a coupon for the lubricant from their website for $1/1.

Thank you!

So disgusted with Wags today. Did they change their coupon policy again, or did I just not know this? I bought four bags of Hershey’s and a bottle of Revlon nail polish. I used two $1/2 coupons on the Hershey’s and one MFR coupon for the Revlon (five items, three coupons). The scanner wouldn’t accept two RR’s that I wanted to use. The manager said it was because the two $1/2 coupons counted as one coupon per product (ie. four coupons for the Hershey’s instead of just two) which meant I therefore did not have enough items to use my two RR’s. I’m convinced that Wags is getting less and less coupon friendly. So now will I be able to count three items on a store coupon as three items, one coupon or will it be the same as this new policy for MFR coupons? When will I actually be able to use my RR’s?

Christie December 7, 2011 at 7:07 pm

Sarah – I’m sorry that you had difficulty with your transaction. It actually has nothing to do with Wags itself. It all depends on how the coupon is coded by the manufacturer. So if a coupon is coded to attach to (2) items, like it was in this case, there is no slot for the Register Reward to attach to, so the $1/2 coupon does count against both items.

When I write up scenarios using any coupons that are for more than (1) item, I always assume the coupon is going to attach to all items and include a filler in the transaction to use the Register Reward against. It’s possible you had not encountered this issue before but it is not a new policy.

On the Aleve, can you use the in-ad Q, Dec. Coupon Book Q, and mfg. Q stacked?

Jennifer December 7, 2011 at 10:53 pm

I was just wondering about that same thing! Eager for someone to verify. I could really use this!

Dana G. December 9, 2011 at 12:44 am

Ok, I did my shop tonight. Spent more than I planned. The coup in the December booklet is not on the 100 ct. caplets so I had to get the more expensive gelcaps. I WAS able to use all three coupons. So, 1 Aleve 80 ct. gelcaps @ 13.49, used $3 off in-ad Q, $3 off Dec. Savings Book Q, $2 off printable. OOP: $5.49 per bottle. Still a darn good deal!
Complete shop: Retail $100.53 OOP:$28.69 Saved: $71.84 Rolled a $2 RR and used $4 RR from previous trip. So, most of the savings was sale prices and coupons.
Yes, I’m addicted!
I have a pic posted on fb if you want to see what I bought.

Dana G. December 9, 2011 at 12:52 am

btw, for fb, name is Dana Gitzlaff. I don’t post anything private, so feel free to look at all the shops I have posted.

Had $1/1 Wet lubricant q’s in my binder. One came by requesting a sample a month ago and other from their website! Its a moneymaker!

Jennifer December 8, 2011 at 12:10 am

It would seem that the Wet printable on their website has no limit to the number of prints. I’ve printed 3 now…

Karen A December 8, 2011 at 2:03 pm

Wet Kiwi Strawberry Flavored Lubricant does have the $1 off coupon, and yes, you can print more than 1!

You can use a Wags and a Man. coupon, but it has never gone thru when I have tried to use BOTH in ad and IVC coups- I have only tried x 2 tho!
