Just a little review for anyone thinking about the KY yours & mine: Unless you can get it for free, don’t bother. It’s a horrible product and has horrible reviews on a lot of sites. And it isn’t worth the full price for sure. Even if I could get it for free, I wouldn’t waste the effort.

Liza August 20, 2011 at 8:46 pm

I totally agree, Heather!!

I tried to do the degree deal where you buy the travel size…I bought 4 of them and got no RR. Is there anything I can do?

Reply

Christie August 20, 2011 at 1:43 pm

Lindsay – I posted an update to this about a week ago. Sadly, they took it out of the deal. I would suggest returning the items.

OK, you always say to give MQ first(so I do) but the cashiers get snippy and say I should give them the Walgreens Q first. Can someone explain why.

Reply

Heidi August 20, 2011 at 2:39 pm

My experience has been that ANYTIME I give the Wags coupon first, my MQ will beep. If I give the MQ first and then the Wags coupon, neither will beep. Some people do it this to way to get overage (if there is any). I do it this way to save myself the headache of a grumpy Wags cashier!

One Wags cashier told me that they were supposed to take Wags coupons first – but that she PERSONALLY didn’t care – lol. Another cashier yelled at me for not giving her the MQ first! Frankly, either way, it’s a royal pain in the . . .

I don’t know since the same thing happened to me twice at 2 different WAGS. I had a stack of Qs with everything in order – MQ, WAGS Q, RR. They then take my Qs and rearrange it to do WAGS Q first then MQ second. Anyways….I have 3 WAGS within 1, 3, and 6 miles from my house which is a toss up if the weekly awesome RR items are available, and 2 near work/low income area with cleared shelves for free items after RR. 2 of the stores by my house are in a retirement community and with the snowbirds away for the summer, I can still find more awesome deals late in the week especially kids and school items. The best shopping was today for 75% off select items due to remodeling :). Spent $10.31 for 19 items and saved $77.90…and of course using $12 store Q and $4 MQ for expo markers, and $13 RR from Listerine Kids, Keri Lotion, the Crest toothpaste glitch, and Dove Chocolate. And I do not clear shelves unless there is only 1 or 2 items left nor do multiple transaction.

Reply

Diana August 20, 2011 at 5:50 pm

What I do is I keep all of my Q’s in a envelope and hand over all of my MQ’s first then I say here is more. I hand over all of my Wag’s Q’s and then I will hand over all of my RR. That way they don’t see them and they have scanned all of the others before I even show my Wag’s Q’s or RR.

Shelia Moore August 21, 2011 at 9:17 am

Sneaky!! Love it!

Reply

Missy R August 25, 2011 at 7:12 pm

I don’t find it hard to do this, by handing over the MQs first, then while they are busy page through the flyer looking for the WagsQs. Then pull the RRs out after the total is announced. If you have everything organized in a stack, then they have the opportunity to pick and choose and mess things up.

Sometimes you have a cashier who proactively enters the WagsQs for you because they are really on the ball, but there is not much to be done about that.

Reply

maria August 20, 2011 at 9:05 pm

@ Stacy:
I’m an employee and I ring up wags Qs first as a safeguard for myself. I want to know when I need to adjust a coupon down so as not to give overage as stated in our coupon policy. However, once I have tried and tested the order doesn’t matter unless you have IVC. In that case almost always give manf Q first.

Reply

Mary August 21, 2011 at 9:18 am

This is all good, but sadly not all cashiers know how to adjust a coupon … few just know the order they were taught to scan them, register beeps and then they say they can’t accept coupons MQs. Thus the reason I give in order, MQs then wags then RR … besides Walgreen’s will get their money for the entire face value of the coupon, so shouldn’t the customer get all the ‘credit’?

Reply

lynn August 25, 2011 at 9:08 pm

i totally agree with the credit comment! they write on the q the “reduced coupon value,” but ive worked in the industry before…they still get full original value of the q plus their 8c handling and processing. kinda seems crooked that they WOULDNT allow overage but they get the full value…like THEYRE the ones cheating the manufacturers. not sure thats their drive to do it like that [probably isnt] but thats how it feels. :/

Reply

Mel August 26, 2011 at 8:54 pm

This has been soooo enlightening. As an experiment I began asking cashiers at WAGs stores which coupons they wanted first, and the answers were all over the board. 2 insisted on Wags, most shrugged and said it didn’t matter, and no one asked for MQ first. Yet, I never had a problem in any of those scenarios with beeping.

So I’ve been wondering why people said give the MQ first? And now I know. So thanks for all the posts. 🙂

When I printed the Cheez-it coupon it said $1 off two packages of Cheez-its 9.75 – 14 oz. The ad says the Cheez-its that are on sale are the 9 oz, so just FYI – not sure if that coupon will work!

Reply

Lindsay August 20, 2011 at 2:57 pm

Since the Wags $2 off Revlon coupon rings through as a manufactures coupon (even though its a store coupon) will that lower the cost of the Revlon, meaning you’d have to buy more to get to the $10 mark?

Reply

Veronica August 20, 2011 at 9:26 pm

Register Rewards print as long as you meet the criteria of the pre-coupon price.

Reply

Susan August 21, 2011 at 2:10 pm

you are right!

Reply

Susan August 21, 2011 at 2:12 pm

I meant that Lindsay is right. In this case, you must hit the $10 after the $2 Wags Coupons are deducted. You can use Mfg Coupons to bring it under $10.

Reply

olga chavez August 20, 2011 at 7:11 pm

so is the degree deal still on for the reg. sized items??

Reply

Veronica August 20, 2011 at 9:28 pm

Yes, the Degree deal is Monthly. The trial size was the only thing that does not work anymore because that was an error.

Reply

Jessica August 20, 2011 at 9:00 pm

Is there a four digit Walgreens code on the $2.00 Revlon coupon from SS 7-24-11? I didn’t get it in my newspaper, and would love to have the code to give to the cashier. Please!!!!

Reply

Veronica August 20, 2011 at 9:29 pm

I have the $2.00/1 Revlon coupon in hand, and no, It does not have the 4 digit code on it.

Reply

Mary August 21, 2011 at 9:27 am

There is an app for cell phones you can download called Red Laser (mine is a Droid X3). Scan the coupon barcode and it will translate it into the number code … Sorry, I used all my q’s or else I could tell you. I thought these Walgreen’s coupons were treated as coupons you have to surrender at time of purchase? … it must be something certain cashiers will do without coupon being present.

Reply

Jennifer August 21, 2011 at 11:48 am

Mary, the cashier I had tried to do the same thing, but I insisted that since it was a Walgreens coupon it was re-usable until the expiration date… She called the manager over and she confirmed my story. She said they do not keep any Walgreens coupons 🙂

Reply

akuzman August 20, 2011 at 10:55 pm

On the Hot Pocket deal listed, it has a WAGS August coupon book coupon listed as a choice but you can’t use it with an in ad coupon can you?

Reply

KatherineK August 21, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Yes the coupon in the coupon book & ad are Walgreens coupons and the newspaper a manufacturer coupon…I just bought 6 (2.99 ea) and used 2 manufacturer coupons (-$2)scanned the walgreens august book Q (-3) and then the Walgreens ad Q (-9) and pd $4.43 incl tax….mind you I know the manager very well and he allowed me to get 6 not the limit of 4..hes always been very nice to me..i am very considerate of other customers, i never clear a shelf, i even give away all my extra newspapers every Sunday to fellow customers!

Reply

sarah August 20, 2011 at 11:17 pm

totally missed the reach Tooth Brush MF & ad Q!! i love these!! THANKS!

also, somtimes I will give all my MF/RR Q’s and then be like oh, do you have that monthly book (or ad) i think theres a Q in there so they wags q’s ring up @ the end. I was told the best order is RR, MF, Wags Q’s. something that has always stuck with me is it’s in order of RMW or ‘real men work'(R for RR, M for MF, W for Wags)… Idk where i got it from, lol HTH

I bought 4 of the degree and the $4 catalina printed out, but not the $1RR. That only prints out when you buy 2—but then the $1 catalina doesn’t print with it. I can’t figure out why the RR and the catalina won’t print together. I did the deal 3 times, and it was the same each time.

Reply

Mary August 21, 2011 at 9:31 am

The degree $4 catalina is a totally different offer … you should’ve let them know right away about the $1RR not printing for their advertised deal.

Reply

Lynn August 21, 2011 at 12:06 pm

I did tell him and no matter how many times I explained it, he argued that since the catalina prints looking just like a register reward, it’s considered one, and therefore won’t print two in the same transaction. This was a manager, by the way.

i am new to this website, but not new to the process. i actually work at walgreens, and talk to a ton of women who coupon for a living. at first it is very frustrating for us,who work there, only because no one had told us how all of this works…we bascially learn it from the customers. some of the customers are great about it, yet others think we are supposed to know everything. i just wanted to say thanks to the ones who have patience with the cashiers, and who arent out to make our lifes hell,so they can save a penny.also thanks for giving us your time and trouble… to help.

Thanks Angela, Most of us r courteous, and I always step back between transactions and let other customers ring up even @ the cosmetic counter (gives me time to think. At my local store they just said, “we missed u the last 2 weeks where have u been we got worried about u” (I was in Hattiesburg MS visiting grandaughter). They wanted to see pics of my Grandaughter! They only know me from Sunday shopping.” Be courteous and grateful and they will help you as much as possible. Tell them to have a wondeful weekend and thank you so much for your help & Patience.

I have a $1/2 ANY Dial body wash Q RP 8/7/11
Makes the Dial body wash .49!!! Yay.

Reply

Kerry August 21, 2011 at 10:58 am

Be careful with this one! If you buy 2 of the Dial Body Washes in the same transaction you’ll only get 1 RR. Which will mean one will be essentially free and the other will be 3.99.

Reply

Mary August 21, 2011 at 11:14 am

Only one RR will print on Dial offer … It ends up being $3.98 if you buy two in same transaction using that q.

Reply

Susan August 21, 2011 at 10:38 am

The $3 Revlon RR wasn’t printing. The manager forced it for me. I am wondering if it has something to do with the coupons because it did print when she scanned an item without using coupons.

Reply

It didn’t work because it’s for August 27 ONLY

Reply

Mpayshnt August 21, 2011 at 12:12 pm

Reply

Helene August 21, 2011 at 12:18 pm

Aug 27 only? I missed that somewhere. Thought it was all week?? Mine didn’t print either plus the cashier didn’t scan the Hot Pockets but I didn’t notice until I got home.

Reply

Susan August 21, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I found out why it didn’t print. It is because you must hit $10 after the Walgreen’s $2 coupons are subtracted. Then you can use your Mfg coupons. I had to buy 5 things to hit the $10 after 40% and the $10 Wags coupons were subtracted. Then I used 5 Mfg coupons and got the $3 RR.

Reply

Mandy August 21, 2011 at 11:00 am

I dont give wags coupons at all. I wait until the end and give the codes. My cashier has no problem with this.

not a freebie… but if you like the U by Kotex tampons they are on sale for 2/$5 with the IVC coupon book… if you have the $1 off U coupons that makes them $1.50 each.. i haven’t seen them that cheap in awhile

IS this correct…the Axe Body Wash are buy one get one 50% off. I had 2 coupons buy one get one free. I bought 4. So the cashier took the two 50% ones off ($2.70/ea), so I paid $10.80 for them. Is that right, cause it seems like I just wasted my coupons. 🙁

She should have taken 2 full price amounts off and you should have paid for 2 at half price.

There is also a coupon in the September issue of All You for $1.00 off Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief toothpaste, page 90. Since it is specific to the type on the Register Reward, I’d be sure and use it here, while its nearly free. With this coupon, its free :).
