Is anyone having problems finding the scope in stores?

I wasn’t able to find it. The scope on the shelf didn’t match the size in the ad. The cosmetics cashier said they didn’t carry the size that is in the ad. She tried scanning the one they had but the price wasn’t matching up.

No scope at 3 stores in GA and no white shelf tags for the 25.4 oz scope as listed in the ad. Time to call corporate about this false advertising?

Here in Wisconsin it wouldn’t work with the RR. It would say the coupon exceeds the price of the item and they wouldn’t take it. They will not put them in manually. Very unfriendly stores around here. NOT NOT NOT a pleasure to shop at.

I checked 4 stores for the scope…none of then had it….unreal how something is one the first page of the ad and they don’t have any stock.

My Walgreens informed me today that there are no more “fillers” If the RR exceeds the value of an item in the transaction, they will not take them. The register said coupon exceeds the price of the item. I had two $3 RR from last week and my total after coupons was still $19. The two items in it that I didn’t have coupons for in the transaction were the pure leaf tea and the scuni hair clips. Since my RR were $3, they wouldn’t take them and wouldn’t put them in manually since those items were $1.99 and $1.

Christie, do you have any knowledge of this?

I think they are misunderstanding the changes to the coupon policy. Those RR will still scan without any issues. I strongly urge you to contact Corporate so that the manager of that store can be set straight.

Thanks for the quick reply. The RR did not scan. I had two Loreal hair colors with two $3 mqs, 1 Colgate with a 75 cent mq, two scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaners with two $1 mqs, 1 pure leaf tea and 1 scuni clip and two $3 RR from last week. The RR did not scan but instead a message came up that said coupon exceeds item value. The cashier cited the verbiage on the RR which says,”off your next store purchase over the value of coupon.” I will contact corporate and see what happens. My store has previously been very coupon friendly.

Call corporate – there was some kind of software update that if you store didn’t do it, will cause that error at the register. I was able to use my RR on a 13¢ pencil with no problem yesterday. So call corporate and let them know that you are having this issue at your store.

That’s what I wrote about in my earlier comment. If the price of the item without coupons is less than the item you are buying it WILL NOT scan. It’s happening here in Wisconsin and I heard it was happening in a few other states too. I tried to argue with no success. No more getting small fillers to use the RR no matter what your total is. It’s a real PITA.

I was told that I could only use one RR per transaction. That it didnt matter how many items I had. “New policy” oh and only B1G1 free coupon per transaction.

Christie Hardcastle August 12, 2014 at 9:00 am

It’s not part of the new policy. You can use more than one RR in each transaction.

no scope at my store.
my bogo axe coupons said “exceeds the price of the item”, but she put it in.

There wasn’t any scope at my store either, which is odd because they usually have tons of scope and hardly any of the Crest mouthwash. The shelves were filled (2 full rows) with the Crest and had a small spot for scope but it was empty.

No Scope here either….my manger checked for me and said the item is discontinued, he ordered a couple for me and we will have to see. (Charleston,SC)

I too am getting “exceeds the price of the item” when using RR’s and coupons. It’s happened twice in the last couple days. Once when the RR was scanned last and also when manf coupon was scanned last.

What state are you in. It’s the same here in Wisconsin. BOO Walgreens.

The St. Louis area stores no longer carry the Scope OUTLAST. It messed up all of my transactions that I spent an hour working on. Luckily I was able to juggle some things and still made my transaction work so I could use the booster coupon. Also to help some of you with the RR not scanning and you getting the error message I constantly ask my cashier what is my before tax total as they scan each coupon. That way I know which dollar RR I should use at the end of my transaction. Also remember to have one item for each coupon and RR you use. My stores all allow the filler items to count.

Hi Todd, thanks for trying to help. I had the right amount of coupons and RRs per items with each transaction and didn’t come out to a negative number on my totals. I didn’t need any filler items as I had one coupon or RR for each item I purchased. What ever is going on with the RRs, just started for me within the last week. I’m going to call corporate as Christi suggested.

It might be regional or maybe just the sequence they scan the Qs. (central FL) I had that problem on my first transaction yesterday – I bought a $ 0.19 ruler as filler for my $4RR. They scanned Point Booster, Wags Q, $4RR, and then MQs. at the end, it wouldn’t accept my $4 OFF MQ because it showed the “exceeds the price of the item”. When the manager re-did the transaction, he scanned MQs first, then $4RR, Wags Q and lastly, the point booster. Surprisingly, it worked and got a better deal out of it. If that’s not the case, I hope it can get fixed quickly! Good luck!
