Walgreens Shopping Scenario: 9/23

by Christie Bisbee on September 22, 2012

Here’s my Walgreens Shopping Scenario for 9/23. In this scenario you’ll get $27.46 in merchandise, you’ll pay $12.40 out of pocket and end up with $6.50 in Register Rewards. So it’s like you are getting everything for as low as $5.90 after coupons and Register Rewards.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THESE TRANSACTIONS
-) You can’t have more MQ than items! Blue = MQ
-) You don’t have to do these in one day, just pick up where you left off.
-) I always bring some extra fillers with me to the register, in case of an emergency!

I notices MQs and RRs. I was told that I cannot use RR on items if chose to use MQs. I see list you put items, MQs and RR. Not possible.

Correct you may not use a MQ and a RR on a single item. HOWEVER, you may use a MQ for one item and a RR for a 2nd item in the same transaction. The policy for Walgreen’s is that you may not have more MQ’s (which RR’s are) than items in a transaction. That is why people will use “filler” items (cheap) to be able to use up RR’s.

RR are considered coupons so as long as you have 1 coupon per product it will work. for example on Christie’s 2nd transaction she used 9.00 rr from 1st trans that is possible because she doesn’t have a manufacturer coupon for the frs energy shots. I hope that helps

Hello…I have the BOGO Gillette System Razor or Gillette Disposable, Get one Mach3 free. Can I use the coupon on the $9.99 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor System and get a 4 RR?

Tammy: I work at Walgreens. You can use RR and MQ in one transactions. As long as you have the same number or more items than you do coupons and RR.

Christie, do you think there will be any problems using the Scope RR on the Crest transaction since they’re both P&G? I’ve heard it mentioned that sometimes the RR don’t roll within the same company even when using them on different products such as this. I plan on using the Scope RR to buy the Crest & using the Crest RR to buy the Scope etc. back & forth 4 times (with filler of course).

@Cheryl,
If the RRs are a different amount you should be fine. In the above scenarios, Christie shows the Scope RR is $3.00 and the Crest is $2.50. I don’t think you will have any problems… Am I correct?

Did anyone notice that herbal Essence is on sale for 2/$6 get back a $2RR? So use the bogo free coupon and pay $3 get back a $2RR. That’s like paying .50 a bottle. I noticed a lady doing transaction after transaction of them so I went to go check it out and she wiped the whole area out!

They were that price last week so stock might have been low. You could always check and see when your store gets the next truck in. I think the balance rewards really got people into the store last week, especially us couponers.

They have been on RR all month. I have tons of the 3.00/2 coupons and use 2-3 each time I go..but NEVER clear a shelf…that is SO annoying 🙁 If you have the 3.00/2 coupon it is good on the Aussie (which is larger sized bottles) 🙂
