Is it true that points are calculated after use of manufacturer coupons? For example, if you need to spend $15 to get 5000 points and coupons drop your total below $15 you won’t get the points after all. Is this accurate?
It is not true. I tried it today because our Manager already activated all the items for tomorrow’s ad. I used coupons plus my employee discount and I still get the balance rewards points. I found out too that the mitchum will give you 2000 points instead of a 1000 points so it is a moneymaker.
I only got 1,000 point on the mitchum. I bought the lady’s deo.

Spoke to my wags manager tonight about points system . He said they did a test run. For example . $1.99 water / they rang up 6 and it gave 500 points 6 times. He also said that he was under the impression that if it is a buy $15 G/5000 points , he understands it to be BEFORE COUPONS…. So I guess well see tomorrow !!! Great job W4W … Love your site
Can someone explain how we redeem our points? We can’t use points to buy an item that produces points if we want to receive new points, correct?
I did several transactions tonight, I had one transaction to where I didnt get any reward points. I got the blistex, glade expressions and the dentek floss picks. I should have gotten 1,000 points for the glade and didn;t, anyone know why? I used my phone number, I even found the transaction online under my activity, but it said I didnt earn any rewards for that transaction and I dont know why. I did an earlier transaction with the same exact items and got the 1,000 points.
Did you get the RR on each transaction? I’m trying to figure out if the new balance rewards card will create limits on those.
I actually just noticed, I did 4 transactions with the glade expressions in them, only one of them gave me points. Anyone know why?
Sharell maybe there is a limit on the card.Kind of like the CVS card. Once you buy that particular deal it won’t give you any more cvs cash back.Thats my guess anyway.
The 3/$4 on glade warmer plugin will also give you 2RR. I got mine yesterday. I did the transaction together with the glade starter kit and came out two register rewards,1RR for glade expressions starter kit and 2RR for glade plugins. So far, I don’t have problems with the balance rewards points. I got total of 8500 points now because I choose to redeem it later.

Its the glade expressions starter kit that is prining out two $1RR I got them today with my purchase so it was a moneymaker for me.
Are the balance rewards limited to one product per purchase like the RR? For example, if you have an item that awards 1000 points, if you buy 2 in 1 trans does it give you 2000 points or do you have to do multiple transactions to receive the max points?
No, I bought 10 of the ID gum in same transaction got 5000 pts for the gum

I have several RR’s from this past week and wanted to buy several blistek (in separate transactions) has any one had a problem with that RR printing if you use your balance rewards card?
Liz, I had my bonus reward card scanned on every transaction I did including the Blistex purchase and I received the appropriate RR’s.

If you are referring to the Mitchum coupon, it is a regional coupon that will only be in select Smartsource inserts. Your region might not receive them.

Why are you saying 3,000 points is like $3-$3.75 worth? Where does the extra $.75 come from?
I think it is 3-3.75 due to the fact it depends on your balance to the amount you get back. So if you let your balance accumulate you get back more. See the rules. Of course I could be wrong

It seems like different people are having different experiences with the BR. Being Walgreens is walking distance to me I experiemented and at least on the gum it gave me BR for each item. Knowing that I will go back and really stockpile now.
do you have to buy all the items at one to get the points for example with the cokes buy $15 worth of cokes kraft or hershey’s get 5000 points. I only bought 3 ccoke 12 packs 3 for $11. will it keep track and when i purchsae remainder of itms will i get my points
I received the appropriate bonus points for my 1st transaction, but the rest of my transaction receipts show “offline”.
I talked to the store manager and he told me that due to the number of people registering for the bonus reward program the system is at times going offline.
He also told me it can take up to 5 days for the points to show up on an account (the website also states it can take several days).
Are the glade items mentioned above on sale at all Walgreens? I tried looking for them at mine and even had a cashier price a few things (thinking perhaps the sign wasn’t there) but it was all regular price. I’m pretty sure I had the right items. I was bummed that I wasn’t able to try this out.
I made qualifying purchases Sunday for which I received Balance Reward Points. I went back Monday and redeemed these points on more qualifying items which should have earned more Balance Rewards Points, but the BR pts EARNED was 0 (on both transactions)! When I called corporate, they said it is part of their Terms and Conditions that you CANNOT EARN Balance Rewards pts on any transaction in which you REDEEM Balance Reward pts! In otherwords, these pts are NOT ROLLING! BOO HOO! Make sure to redeem points on items for which you’ll get RR instead of points.
I found that out today also. YOU CANNOT REDEEM BALANCE REWARD POINTS AND EARN THEM IN THE SAME TRANSACTION. This is crazy. Why would I earn points to buy things at full price?!? Walgreens will not be getting much more of my business if this is the way the system continues.
At least with RR, you could buy the specials for one week and then use them the next. Now as a couponer, this killed their deals and make it not worth it.
Just roll the points into RR and the RR into points. Problem solved. 🙂
I’ve been told my 2 different managers that RR’s will be phased out in the next 2 weeks. I so hope I’m they are mistaken.
No u can’t roll br but I’m just saving up mine was gonna get glade and id gum but guess what a shelf clearer came n didn’t have a chance if u wanna roll us br on rr items and rr items on br lucky me everyone n my town is into the br so had no prob getting rr items I used my b1g1 on herbal essence got my 2 rr n used it to get blistex which lucky me didn’t have tax also rolled wit cottonelle 82 count refill which produces a 2 rr by itself
I only got a $2 RR on the Aussie, and when I looked in the ad, that is what it said. It is listed as a $3 RR on the shopping scenario list. Was that just a mistake, or should I have gotten $3? Thanks! Tina
