I just did this deal buying two Mach 3 razor packs and using two $4 off coupons. The scanner wouldn’t accept the second coupon. The manager did an override but after looking at the coupon, he said in the future I could only use one coupon per transaction, meaning separate purchases. I thought that wording means essentially, one coupon per item purchased. I explained that it wouldn’t make sense to purchase them separately since you get 4000 points for buying two. He went on to say the manufacturing companies are becoming stricter and not paying them back on some of the purchases. Anyone else having this issue?

It was a problem with their register not with the coupon. If you could only use one why would it say limit 4 identical coupons per household per day?

Thanks Christie. I actually pointed that out to him and he said it means you can use four coupons on four separate transactions which makes no sense to me. I like this particular store because they have really nice clerks but the management gives me the hardest time when the coupons don’t scan properly. Other nearby stores are much more accommodating so I guess I’ll shop there instead.

I had trouble also using this coupon. The scanner wouldn’t accept the second coupon so the clerk looked at the coupon closer and said only 1 coupon per purchase. When I started to explain and said I would just go to a different Walgreen’s (another store I trust a clerk who understands coupons), a second clerk (who I trust dealing with her before) by then came over and agreed with him. I said I would put my items back (they said they would do it but I said “no, I would do it”. I was half-way done when the second clerk found me and she said the manager okayed the coupon and they would “push” it through. I felt bad (even though I knew how to read the coupon!) and dishonest but she said it was okay. She did it and I had 2 transactions because I was doing the 5X points when you spend $10+ deal. What a hassel! I did tell the clerk “thank you and that was good customer service”.

Also, I read on the “5X points when you spend $10+” coupon (on the ad) that the limit is 3 transactions. Am I reading this right?

I also found out that you can only use the online coupon at the store you designate on the site. I called the number (after trying to use the coupon at a different store because I was in the area) and they said they know this is a problem and they are working on fixing this. Another hassel!
