Remember that there is a Bonus Buy on Right Guard deoderant this week. Not advertised in flyer and not tagged at my store. They are “Buy One Get One Free”. My store has them for $4.49. There is a $2 MQ for Right Guard Extreme in this weekend’s Red Plum. Made the deoderant 24 cents each as you can use a coupon on the free one as well.. Some stores have these for $4.99 as their regular price.

My store only had one bottle of crest mouthwash so that messed up my other transactions. I did get pens, pencils, tea and deodorant.

My store also only had one bottle of Crest left. I was happy I was lucky enough to score the decor holders along with a couple bottles of tea 😀

They had Colgate 360 Clean toothbrushes on clearance at my store for $2.79 which did trigger the $2.50 Register Reward. Combine that with the $1 coupon from last week’s SmartSource and it’s a $0.71 Money Maker 😀

What a cool feeling when I purchased two glade products for 5.00 (used 2 $2.00 coupons)and 1 tea and the total was $2.51 and they had me back $2.99 in RR. The cashier said! WOW!

As of today, our cashiers were instructed to deduct RRs before MQs. She actually canceled the transaction in order to start over. The problem is that the RR “attaches” to one item that is at least equal to the RR or higher. For example, a $2 RR attached to one Glade item and a $2.50 RR attached to another Glade item. The computer then disallowed the Glade MQs because it’s considered as doubling up on MQs. (Following:) I’m trying my best to be clear.) It didn’t matter that I had a bunch of school supply filler items because the RR only deducts on items as high or higher.

I hate when the cashiers try so hard to make our life difficult. I did the 5,000 pt transaction the other day. The first thing the cashier said when I put my stuff and coupons down is oh no you can’t use that many coupons, I said yes I can. I handed her the 5,000 points coupon first, she insisted it was after coupons even though I read it out loud to her. She continued to ring all my coupons in and then did that one last. She said walgreens is cracking down on all these coupons. The 5,000 points added, even though she did it last. I wanted to jump up on the counter and dance and sing “ha ha I guess they don’t mind all my coupons since they coded it to work regardless!! ” We all have rules but it is very evident in their tone and attitude how they feel.

I ran into that today too. She ended up just manually entering my Crest coupon. I hope it doesn’t become a headache to shop there.

I tried to use the $1.00 on 1 Bic coupon today at my Wags and they wouldn’t accept it because the amount was more than the .99 price of the item so I’ll just use the q at WalMart I guess.

This goes against Walgreen’s corporate policy. The price of the coupon should’ve been adjusted down. Always carry a copy of the policy with you & – very nicely – bring it out to make your case.

Sometimes even having the coupon policy with you is no help. I had the same issue with wet n wild cosmetic items as well as bic. The cashier and the manager were not able to get the register to accept the coupons. Unfortunately for me it has become more trouble than It’s worth to shop at Walgreens. I seem to do better at CVS.

No Bic coupon here in Central Texas. We get about 50% of the coupons that everyone else gets and typically our coupon values are lower if we get them at all.

If you are close enough to Houston have the Chronicle delivered. They usually have all the great ones.

I was so excited on my trip. I snagged the glade holders, hair color for $1 a piece and the deodorant for 24 cents, and also the bic pens. I went right when they opened this morning to make sure I could get the deals I wanted. I was very pleased.

Wow, I saw the picture of the tea display! You must have a really big Walgreens. I will be lucky if my store has ten bottles.

Katie August 5, 2013 at 6:52 am

Mine had two and I was there when they opened on Sunday.

My store had the Pure Leaf in the sweet tea or raspberry flavors only, and I found out the hard way no RR was triggering with the raspberry flavor. The lady at the cashier across from me said she had tried the raspberry too, so she had to go back and get the sweet tea. Then she went on to tell me she had just picked up the last 10 bottles on the shelf(sigh).

Pure leaf is a pepsi product that means it is delivered by a vendor not their weekly trucks they all should have more in a couple days if they inform their vendor contact to bring them. As for scanning the coupons I havent heard anything about there being a certain order to scanning
them that must be that stores policy not a
walgreens policy and I agree always carry the policy cause some employees just dont know it or think they know it and dont

Well, in NorCal Bay Area, we didn’t get the Bic coupon in the local Times. **sigh** Guess I’ll have to re-start my SF Chronicle…

I got in SF Chronicle but not in San Jose Mercury news.

The last couple times I’ve went into my Walgreens, I’ve noticed a men’s Gillette body wash on clearance for $2 something. Looking through an online coupon database, there’s a regional $1/1 Gillette body wash or deodorant MF in the 07/28 P&G. Just thought I’d throw it out there in case anyone is interested.

I have Bic coupons that I would gladly trade for some Quaker coupons.

Bic pens were not on sale at my store, I went in and was ready to stock up!!

Reply

Duplicatem07 August 5, 2013 at 11:44 am

The store may not have the signage up. They should be on sale. Take a second look!

Reply

Alissa August 5, 2013 at 9:45 pm

My Wags is horrible at tagging. As long as the product matches the one in the ad, the price should ring up correctly at check out so I suggest checking again!

Reply

Alissa August 7, 2013 at 8:30 pm

The Bic in my store were also not marked but rang up correctly, .99!

I found a Crest rinse at my store today with a B1G1 free sticker on it. It wasn’t a coupon but was two bottles attached with rings through the neck. So, I got two bottles for a $.51 MM after coupon and RR. It was behind another bottle, so it would be worth checking behind the others on the shelf to see if your store would have any like that.

cass August 6, 2013 at 2:40 am

I only found 3 bottles of tea at my store. I hate this store due to the coupon hater managers. The signage are always wrong and stock is extremely low.
