Walgreens Friends & Family Deals 10/19!

by Christie Bisbee on October 18, 2012

Tomorrow, Friday October 19th, you’ll get 15% off your shop and 20% off Walgreens brand products with this Walgreens coupon HERE. I’m super excited as so many already good deals just became amazing!

One thing to keep in mind, if there’s a Walgreens coupon, based on past experience you will get 15% off but not before the Walgreens coupon. Also be careful with any deals where you have to buy a certain dollar amount because your totals will be lower. Remember, you want to let them know you have the coupon before they begin to ring you up. Here are some great deals that I see. Let us know of any other deals you plan to grab! 🙂

I bought 2 packs of diapers yesterday… they rang up 4.50 each (2/$8.99). Wondering if the overlap deal is a regional glitch? Im in Northern Cal. – either way, 20% off of that would be $7.20 for 2 packs (none of the packs at my store had coupons on them either) I think it’s still a good deal 🙂

Patti October 18, 2012 at 3:28 pm

coupons at my store were for formula and they were already expired!!

Nicole October 19, 2012 at 9:54 am

My Walgreens did the same thing – buy 1 at 8.99 get 1 free rather than combining the buy 1 get 1 and the 2 for 11. No overlap. 🙁 So I paid 7.19 for 2 after friends and family 20% off- no peelies either. Still a decent deal but not sure I would have done it for store brand diapers.

I thought the coupon says you cannot buy travel size deoderant

Reply

laura October 18, 2012 at 10:27 pm

My store has a end cap with $1 deodorant that is 1.7 oz. There is also some in the travel section that are .5 oz, so I figure 1.7 isn’t travel size then. It rang through no problem before.

dee October 18, 2012 at 10:42 pm

This morning I tried using two $2 off 1 Suave lotion coupons, and the register would only take one. The coupon states “one coupon per purchase”, and this store had the new registers. Would I be able to use two coupons at stores with the old registers?

Reply

Christie October 19, 2012 at 11:22 am

You should be able to use two. They should have manually put it in if they were having problems. One per purchase just means one coupon for each item you purchase. So you were purchasing two – so two coupons.

If i do two transactions for the suave lotions would i get 4,000 points in my card?

Reply

Laura October 19, 2012 at 2:47 pm

yes. You could also do 1 transaction and buy 4 bottles and you will get 4000 points, you don’t need to split them up.

Hi Christie,

Im new buying in walgreens and in fact I have no idea how their Rewards program works. I got the card and I’m trying to register it online but it doesnt work, it says that the information doesnt match.

I’m just wondering if in order to get the points and use them as money, do I need to register online? or can I do it just by scanning my rewards card?

Thanks!

Reply

Christie October 19, 2012 at 12:39 pm

You can read some about the program below…
https://wildforwags.com//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////faq-basics-walgreens-coupons/

You don’t have to register on-line, you should be able to see your points accumulated at the bottom of your receipt and just get your points when you scan. Or you can call Walgreens corporate and have them fix it for you. 🙂

Thanks!

Do I have to tell the cashier that I want to use my points or they will automatically deduct them from my account? (as Rite Aid does)

Reply

adijat October 19, 2012 at 1:02 pm

You have to tell the cashier you would like to redeem your points and always use it in increments of 5,000 ($5) because you lose points if you redeem for example for $6.50, it will take out 10,000 points ($10).

Nice brand 24 count 10 1/16 inch paper plates are on sale for $1.69, so $.143 after the 20% off discount. Makes for a better deal than Dixie if you’re like me and didn’t have the 55 cent off coupon. However, watch the register because they ran up for 2/$5.00 for me in two different stores.

LYSOL – There is also a $2/2 MQ in the WAG’s “Cold & Flu” booklet for Lysol spray. Found the booklet in the aisle with the cold meds. Make for an even better deal! 😉

Angel October 19, 2012 at 3:29 pm

In central Missouri the store coupons are taking off full value, so nexus mousse was only .54 each.

How many times can I do the Suave deal per Rewards card?

Reply

Abbey October 19, 2012 at 7:41 pm

Also, how many times can I do the Robittussin one? (in case that is not sold out)
