Walgreens Nice! Garbage Bags Just $1.99!

by Christie Bisbee on March 27, 2012

If you need trash bags, you can grab a really good deal on Nice! Drawstring Tall Kitchen Bags. These are $2.99 after the in ad Walgreens coupon. PLUS you can use the $1/1 coupon in the March coupon book to get them for just $1.99 each.

I was able to stack them with no problems. And if you have a Walgreens Prescription Club card, be sure to swipe that for an additional discount off your NEXT purchase.

Walgreens Deal
Buy (1) Nice! Tall Kitchen Bags 30ct, 13 Gallon $5.29
In ad coupon for Trash Bags (Takes off $2.30)
$1/1 Nice! Trash Bags 18 to 80pk, 13 – 55 gal (2038) Walgreens March Book
= $1.99 EACH

I’ve been using the Walgreens brand trash bags for years now, since they were called Tuf. I have been nothing but happy with my bags and I’m a total garbage bag over-stuffer. Unless I can find them cheaper somewhere else (which doesn’t happen too often) I stick to the Walgreens bags as my regular kitchen bags.

They didn’t let me stack……told me that these both are wg coupons so no go for me

Elena you should call corporate. The coupon policy states 1 Walgreens coupon, 1 In Ad Coupon as well as 1 manufacturer coupon can be used.

Elena: I agree you should call corporate.

Christie: Is that right, because they are both Walgreen’s coupons, discount off both coupons would be a no go?? I was gonna go get some but that kinda makes sense that you can’t use both because both are store coupons. Let us know.

Yes you can use (2) Walgreens coupons… 🙂
*When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.

Yes, you CAN use both Walgreens coupons. I did it all the time the last time there was a weekly ad coupon on the garbage bags.

And with the new registers, make sure you have all your filler items before you hand over your coupons. Even when we scan manufactor coupons (rather than just hard keying them in/price adjusting) we’re not able to go back and add new items or void off items. Hopefully with software updates, this will be fixed in the future.

And how do I go about getting a Walgreens Prescription Club card? I already get all of my prescriptions at Walgreens–never heard of this club card…

Also, last year one of the Walgreens near me was marking down tons of stuff when I walked in, so (obviously) I followed the manager as she marked down dozens of grouped items (score!)–my haul included 20 or so boxes of Tuff trash bags marked down to 1.72ea!!! So I will certainly be stopping in tomorrow to try to score some “Nice” ones! 😉

Does it matter which coupon you give first? The in ad coupon or three IVC? I remember having problems doing something like this a while back for gum.

Is there a limit on these in the ad?

Reply

Patti March 29, 2012 at 3:54 pm

My ad limit says (3).

I just got 5 boxes. (I had a 10 dollar rr that I wanted to use.) The assistant manager said he was really impressed with that bargain and even clapped!

You can also use the Walgreens perscription card (I got mine in January for $5) and you get 10% back on all Walgreens Brand items, so that saves a little bit more!

Are they always just $5 to purchase? Or are there different kinds? I could have sworn the only time I was asked if I wanted to buy one, the cashier said they were $25 and I thought that was crazy! (But maybe it’s me that’s crazy!)

They had a deal back in January for a single member to get the Rx card for $5. That deal was strictly for January; now it’s full price.

can you use RR to pay for these on top of the two wags coupons?

Reply

angela March 28, 2012 at 10:44 pm

yes, you can use RRs to pay for it, eventhough you are using two wags coupons. since RR is a manufacturer coupon.

I’ve done the math and this deal looks really good! We usually buy Sam’s Club “Member’s Mark” brand trash bags ($9.98/150 bags) for 7 cents a bag. With the WAGS coupons and sale, the price is the same on the Nice! bags. I’m glad to hear the quality is good; I’m going to try them out.

Christie, thank you!!

I just did this deal on my lunch break and it took a little searching and two trips to the register to get the right sizes since they were almost sold out, the cashier was so nice and she said “wow” when I was finished!! (I said yea, no wonder there’s none left!)

I used my $4.00 reward from the Viva deal earlier in the week, so only 2.09 oop for (3) boxes. These are also priced at 5.29 here in Mass. I got 2 kitchen and 1 (30 gal?) larger brown drawstrings, this was all they had left.
