Updates From the Field 3/4

by Christie Bisbee on March 4, 2012

Here are some updates from my trip today to hopefully make your trip go a bit better!

WALGREENS SALINE NASAL MIST: If you have the Walgreens Prescription club card don’t forget to have them scan it (after ALL coupons and Register Rewards) when you buy the Walgreens Nasal Mist that’s FREE after Register Rewards.

You’ll make an addition .50 towards your next transaction each time you buy these. So, not only are they FREE they are a $.50 Money Maker, no coupons needed! ๐Ÿ˜‰

COLGATE TOTAL ADVANCED: If you need to get a couple of tubes of toothpaste it’s your lucky day. The Colgate Register Reward is ROLLING! I don’t know for how long but for now when you use the $3 Register Reward from Colgate to buy another Colgate, you’ll get another $3 Register Reward. I don’t know if this will last long so you may want to take advantage of it sooner rather than later! Here’s what I did…

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (1) Colgate Total Advanced $3
(1) -.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 3/17/12 (SS 02/26/12 R)
Total = $2.25, Get Back $3 RR

Buy (1) Colgate Total Advanced $3
(1) Easter Peeps Singles to 5pk $.79
Total = $3.79
(1) -.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 3/17/12 (SS 02/26/12 R)
(1) – $3 RR Colgate
Total = $.04, Get Back $3 RR

And DON’T Buy Max Fresh! It’s not included!

JOHNSON’S BABY PRODUCTS: The Johnson’s Baby products deal doesn’t include the Naturals, but it’s still a great deal with the –$1/1 Johnsonโ€™s Baby Oil printable or the -.75/1 Johnsonโ€™s Baby Lotion 9 oz+ printable coupons. Making it as low as $1 each!

So, what great deals did you find? Let us know! ๐Ÿ™‚

I found some Always panty liners with $3.00 worth of coupons inside. There is a small stripe near the top of the box stating that the coupons are inside.

Is the Colgate deal only on the Total Advanced kind? I saw on the ad that it shows the Total Advanced and the Max Fresh, but the wording on the ad only says it’s for the Total Advanced. I have a nice $1/1 coupon I got from a random coupon paper in my mail, and I’d like to use it for the MM, but I just wanted to check first.

Reply

Christie March 4, 2012 at 6:45 pm

I didn’t see any signs for the Max. I bought the ones in the picture.

Reply

Toni March 4, 2012 at 6:53 pm

My WAGS had disclaimer posted that says that the ad showed the Max Fresh, but the sale was on the Total Advanced.

Reply

Lindsay S. March 4, 2012 at 7:05 pm

Darn, that stinks, I really wanted to use that great coupon. Thank you so much for letting me know!

Reply

VB March 4, 2012 at 6:45 pm

They have signs posted that the max fresh is not included.

Jessica March 4, 2012 at 7:04 pm

Hmm I should try I don’t mind getting toothpaste for just $3 + the tax. Hope it work for me. I’ll go in later to try that.
Did it work for anyone that live in northern ca?

The blood glucose monitor was not marked as 14.99 at the store I bought it.

Reply

Molly March 4, 2012 at 7:39 pm

99.9% of the time, when a deal is rolling, they usually fix the glich by Wednesday morning

Reply

MeliB March 4, 2012 at 7:39 pm

I have only used my Walgreens card once since I received it. Noticed you posted to scan AFTER all q’s and rr’s????

Reply

Christie March 4, 2012 at 9:15 pm

Yes – seriously if they scan it before it becomes major drama! If you have any $ on it from a previous transaction it’s considered “tender” and it won’t let you use any more coupons. So give your MQ, Store Qs, RR and then right before you are about to pay, have them scan it and enter it. It’ll take off any money you have accumulated and then you’ll pay the balance.

It may not sound like much but I’ve already saved $3 and I only paid $5 for it and I didn’t start using it till February! So I’m pretty happy. Plus if you buy (2) of those Saline Wash – that’s $1 you’ll make right there! ๐Ÿ™‚

Christina March 5, 2012 at 7:00 am

Christie-how long did it take for you to get your walgreens prescription/savings card? I bought one at the end of January and haven’t received it yet…. thanks!

Reply

MeliB March 5, 2012 at 8:03 am

That makes sense, had a “DUH” moment – LOL. Keep forgetting this one actually has cash value on it and not just a savings cards. The one time I did use it almost got my whole $5.00 back.

Reply

Carrie March 4, 2012 at 8:05 pm

The j&j deal is for the ones in the 4.99 range. Not the 6.00 range. I checked them all at my store.

Reply

Shari March 4, 2012 at 8:08 pm

I’m annoyed.. first, none of the employees who work at my store know how to adjust coupons down. Then today, the in-ad coupon for the ramen didn’t work, it wasn’t identifying it.. The manager said I had to get 4 for it to work, which I know is not true, because I’ve done it several times for other items. And he was adamant about it. What do I tell them, or do?

Reply

Christie March 4, 2012 at 9:17 pm

Hmmm, hopefully they’ll get the glitch fixed soon so it’ll just work and you won’t have to deal with it. Did you try buying 4 just to prove your point? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Bet it didn’t work then either!

Reply

Shari March 4, 2012 at 9:36 pm

I should have! I will probably go by when one of the other managers is there. The thing was that my cashier agreed with me, but the manager didn’t so he didn’t want to change the price, either!

Reply

Guest March 4, 2012 at 10:00 pm

Did your area actually receive a wrap around ad with that coupon or did you just have them put in the code? If you just had them put in the code, then that store was NOT participating in that sale.

Reply

Julie S. March 5, 2012 at 8:36 am

I also tried the ramen noodles and they didn’t ring right. We had the wraparound here so she tried scanning and manually inputting it. We even tried putting in four and it still didn’t work. She would have called the mgr. but I told her I would try next time. Gives me an excuse to go back, lol.

thanks for the rolling tip..my cashiers were excited for themselves too….nice when they are excited for the good deals too:)

Reply

Alice March 4, 2012 at 9:45 pm

Thanks for the heads up!! I was able to grab 4 and roll it each time!! I wish all deals rolled!! I still have 11 $2 RR from the wipes deal last week!! I have some shopping to do before they expire this week =)

I have used my Walgreen’s rewards as cash at Von’s. It makes it so nice. It is listed as a manufacturer coupon so they take them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Reply

Mandy March 4, 2012 at 9:51 pm

I was wondering if I can buy 5 Colgate at once? I have 5 $3 Colgate RR, can I roll 5 more in one transaction, or do I still need to ring them up all separately? thanks

Reply

Christie March 4, 2012 at 10:00 pm

You have to buy (1) at a time, otherwise you’ll only get 1 of the $3 RR.

Reply

Mandy March 4, 2012 at 10:06 pm

Thanks for clarifying so quickly Christie!

Reply

Guest March 4, 2012 at 10:04 pm

The wrap around ad is probably only for southern market stores. There are lawn chairs in the ad which midwest and northern stores do not have out to sell yet. HTH ๐Ÿ™‚

Reply

Tiffany March 4, 2012 at 11:34 pm

No I don’t think so. I am in Southcentral TX and it was 87 degrees Friday and we didn’t get the wrap around….

Reply

Guest March 4, 2012 at 11:41 pm

I meant that the stores that did receive the wrap around are in the southern market. Maybe not the entire south, but I doubt northern stores received it. I hope that doesn’t sound too confusing lol

Reply

jessica March 4, 2012 at 10:38 pm

oh yes! it worked for me! but the cashier didnt want to let me buy two colgate in two transactions so i kinda make my way to let her do it.
i guess every cashiers are different. i bet now she saw what i did with the colgate she gonna do that for herself.

Yum! Was that on clearance?

Reply

VB March 5, 2012 at 9:40 am

It was on the shelf tagged for $1 but scanned for 25 cents so probably an oversight at my store so check both places and price check.

Doug..on Step 2 it says Select offer code. Click the arrow and it should show 2 codes W0212 and W0312. Click the W0312-that is the March rebate and it will let you do the baby magic.

Need some tips with the colgate rebate. I bought softsoap body wash to go with my colgate rebate and I’m not sure what to do about the UPC since it’s liquid. The rebate says…with price circled and UPC information from the Colgate-palmolive packages…. Does that mean I can write down the UPC codes and don’t have to cut them from the bottle??? Any help would be great.

Reply

Amy March 5, 2012 at 2:39 pm

nevermind, its a sticker

Reply

kate March 5, 2012 at 3:13 pm

You just write downt he codes. I already got my check back and that’s what I did.

Reply

Dan March 5, 2012 at 2:01 pm

Still rolling, just bought some.

Reply

marge simpson March 5, 2012 at 2:41 pm

remember, per wags own coupon policy:
Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.
total ymmv deal. if your store allows you to roll, great. if they dont allow you to roll the rr’s, don’t get mad, its in the policy =]

Reply

H March 5, 2012 at 3:12 pm

Here’s a tip that always helps me out, if your store is out on the shelf of a sale item always check the overstock on the top shelf along the walls. Many a time have I found that week’s register reward freebie hiding up there. Yesterday the walgreens saline was all gone, I looked around the corner above the first aid section and bam there were 6 bottles just sititng up there. I took one for me and brought the others down to the shelf location to help others out.

Did anyone do the pampers diapers deal? I’m looking to stock up before our baby comes so I’m wondering what the count is on those packages, anyone know?

Reply

Boon Thao March 5, 2012 at 4:10 pm

Have any of you guys ever try using the rr at walmart? Does it work?

Reply

tessa March 6, 2012 at 8:41 am

It doesn’t. They only let that work for about 3 days before they changed the policy again. The coupon HAS to specify a certain product. RR’s don’t specify a certain product, so you can’t use them.

still rolling in Hot Springs, AR!! Got 20 tubes and left about 30!! They were REALLY STOCKED WELL!!!

Reply

Ashleigh Harris March 5, 2012 at 8:13 pm

This deal works in Charlotte, NC area as of 7PM. I asked my casheir something I have been wondering ever since my Wags got strict on their limits for the RRs – When do you limit the deals for RRs? Is it just when you have low stock of that particular item? Or is it just whomever is working at that time? I was told that as long as they have a good amount of stock, they allow 6 to 8 of the toothpaste deals (per visit I assume); 12 of the single toilet paper rolls (She used the tp as an extra example). Again, this is just my Wags. These are probably good questions to ask someone at you store as well.

Good luck to everyone else.

check your binders for a $3 off neosporin lip health catalina that you may have got. Mine expired 3/25. Stack with the $1.50 off march booklet coupon and it brings it down to .99!
