does anyone know if the rr is printing on the other crest complete varieties? Only deep clean is listed in the ad and none of the wags in my area carry that one

lisa rosales September 14, 2011 at 12:40 pm

i think it’s only th deep clean, the other day the cashier was checking all of them for me.. that’s the only one that would work.

I saw that coupon and it says $2/1 or more so I wasn’t sure if it would link with both products or just with one. Has anyone tried using 2 coupons on 2 products?

Christina September 14, 2011 at 2:04 pm

I used 2 coupons and payed $1 OOP. I got back the RR for $3!! I did it 6 times:)

Elizabeth, I purchased 2 oral-b floss and used 2 coupons and it worked great. In fact I had 12 coupons so I did this 6 times and made $11.52 after tax. Had no problems at all. Wish I had more!!! Nancy

I was lucky enough to have gotten the coupon, but the 3 WAGs near me haven’t had this the last 2 weeks. They have the double packs, but they aren’t part of the promotion.

This week has been a bit disappointing at WAGs, no crest toothpaste, no scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner and no Gain powder at any of the 3 locations I’ve visited (and they all got their trucks yesterday 🙁 ). I was also told I couldn’t use my skittles coupons to score free candy because the manufacturers coupond didn’t allow it to be used with any other promotion.

Same thing at the wags near me in Texas. No Deep Clean Toothpaste for weeks. I checked at 4 different stores:(

Nancy- I too got this great coupon and used it at my wags here in Columbia,SC. They only had double packs but the manager took them apart and allowed me to purchase them separately rather than a double pack making sure to use the bar code on the box not the wrapping that holds them together. It worked! The RR printed out without any problems and we did the same with the Colgate Optic White double packs. Ask if they’ll allow you to do the same. HTH.

Mpayshnt September 14, 2011 at 1:57 pm

I’m so excited to try that, Mayra! What a great idea, if they’ll let you. My Wags never has this toothpaste in (or the Optic White), but always has the double packs.

I would love to know if this worked for anyone else?

Reply

Andrea September 14, 2011 at 4:27 pm

when i asked my manager to break apart the twin packs, he said no because it then messes up their inventory/stock counts.

Reply

Mayra September 16, 2011 at 6:49 am

Andrea- That was my initial thought but since it was both the Manager and Assistant Manager that suggested it, I went with it. I think I just got lucky, I don’t see this happening again because of inventory tracking.

I did it on the floss. There is never toothbrushes at my store! I used 2@ $2/1 coupon in one transaction. Worked like a champ.

I found a coupon that looks exactly the same as a door hanger on my front door yesterday but unfortunately it is $2 off 2. So I guess I won’t be able to use it to get the good deal. 🙁 None of my Walgreens had a spot for Scrubbing Bubbles on their shelves. Sad that they don’t even carry the product over here.

I have tried to find this toothpaste and out of at least 12 Wags in Palm Beach county there was none!!!

Mary September 14, 2011 at 5:43 pm

Why do the deal 6 times? That is 12 tubes of toothpaste. Leave some for others.

Reply

lorrie September 14, 2011 at 7:49 pm

i totally agree with you. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also will do a deal multiple times. I like to have extra on hand for the church food-shelf or members of my bible study that are in need.

It’s a personal decision, however I would visit a different Walgreens if I was going to buy more then one deal for one item. That way I am not taking stock from just one store. Mind you I have 2 walgreens in my “area” each 30 min in a different directions. I can’t enforce things on to others however, I know when I leave a store I can leave with my head held high. Happy shopping everyone!

Heather September 15, 2011 at 1:24 am

She is not required to leave some for others. She may have a large family, you don’t know her reasons for getting that much toothpaste, not that it’s any of your business. You want the deal, get up early and get to the store. I am tired of these type of comments.

Joanna September 15, 2011 at 11:47 am

I agree, Heather. I’m tired of couponers telling other couponers what to do, too. Everyone has to decide for themselves how they want or need to coupon. In this difficult economic time, people are facing hardships we can’t imagine and are not only coping for themselves, but helping family, friends, and charities.

I got this coupon in either the LA Times or Orange County Register in Southern California (can’t remember which paper — one, but not the other). I also got it in the Las Vegas Review Journal.

There hasn’t been any “Deep Clean” on the shelves at any of the Walgreens in the Orange County area that I’ve been to. I still have a bunch of the $1 off Q’s that expire 9/30 that I was planning to use, but can’t find one tube around here. 🙁

OK this evening was very disappointing for me. I went to 7 Wags on the way home from work. Zigging and Zagging all over the place. The first 5 didn’t even have a spot for it on the shelf. The 6th one at least had a spot on the shelf, but of course ALL GONE! The 7th one (closest to my home) had a spot and 1 BOX! What am I going to do with 1 box and no floss or tooth brushes?!?!?! Very frustrating WAGS!

Guest September 14, 2011 at 9:15 pm

I feel bad for you, but I have to mention this… I cannot believe you went to seven Walgreens for toothpaste -_-

Reply

Tiffany September 14, 2011 at 11:50 pm

The beauty of living in South FL, there are WAGS every where. I literally passed 6 of the 7 I visited on my normal 10 mile route home.

When this happens, I will buy the one product (without using a coupon) then return it if I can’t find another. If I find another one at a different store, I do a return of the one and then buy them both (with coupons) to get the RR. The managers have been very helpful with this. I do 2 separate trans (return on first, then buy on second) to avoid any problems getting the RR.
This is helpful when one store has toothpaste and the others have floss or toothbrushes.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep it in mind for next time. I have given up on this deal, good thing the higher value Q expires at the end of the year.

Reply

Betsy September 16, 2011 at 6:46 pm

One thing to keep in mind–I have done the returns at stores that normally carry the product. Trying a return at a Wags that doesn’t carry the item may be difficult.
Thankfully you have several stores to shop, like I do.
Hope you can snag the deal next time. Happy shopping, Tiffany!

Nothing advertised is at any of the 5 near by wags. Please stop shelf clearing. All I want is to get the sale on 2 tube. I agree very frustrating week at wags

we couldn’t find the toothpaste that was 2/$5 and I accidently found out that the $2 coupon works on the toothpaste that is onlsale for 1.99 i bought a toothpaste used $2 coupon and a bugles and used a 50cent coupon for the bugles and paid .68 cent out of pocket for a toothpaste and bugles and got the $1 rr

I checked the waGs near my house and the one near my kids school just to find none of the deals! With my local walmart being as cool as they are, I went there… They price matched everything AFTER the RR price and off I went! So the toothpaste that was 2/$2 after the RR I got at the walmart for $1 each which after my $2 coupon was a $1 mm on each one. I bough 15 of them! And say what you want y’all about saving some for others, I am not a shelf cleaner, there were literally at least 100 tubes of the deep clean there:) all of the other items that I got, they priced matched as well. I Andes up getting 65 cents in cash back when all was said and done. If you have not read the new walmart policy as of lately, read it now because they give cash back now if your coupons go over your total bill after tax! I thought I must have read it wrong, but nope, it worked!

I hope you realize how lucky you are to have such a coupon-friendly Walmart. My Walmarts refuse half of my coupons and argue about price matches constantly. They would never in a million years give me Walgreens’ prices after the RR! I argue every time I shop there about giving me overage, even though I show them their own policy. And they won’t even let me use coupons on trial sizes, ever. GRRR! Most couponers here hate Wal-Mart and many won’t even shop there anymore.

Corey Phelps September 15, 2011 at 10:21 am

IDK what it is about my walmart but ours have been really friendly, for the most part. I say call coorporate everytime they get rude with you. I have sat in line IN THE TABACCO CHECKOUT LINE calling coorporate because they told me that I was a criminal. There exact words were ” Take your shopping elsewhere we don’t need disugiting criminals like you here” hopped over the counter grabbed there phone called coorporate, and haven’t seen the guy working there anymore, got a 25 dollar gift card, and since then they have lightned up ALOT, and gotten better managers.

I buy three different papers (my restaurant patrons like to read different papers). This coupon was in two of the local papers, but those two are usually the ones with the least amount of coupons. Go figure!
