These deals make me wish that I wasn’t so stubborn about only using 7th generation or Green works cleaning products!!! Have fun everyone getting such an awesome deal!

You can always donate these items!!! I like 7th Gen for my baby’s clothes!!!

Yes, the price is GREAT, but it’s not a product I will use.

Do what I do…buy the products and donate them to a local food pantry! You have made a much needed donation and it cost you little or nothing.

Could you have got the gain liquid on special for 99 cents?

Nvm…That was the dawn

I know I wish the Gain was $.99! That’s what my fabulous cashier said too – too bad it’s not on sale! LOL.

Reply

Carrie September 11, 2011 at 3:58 pm

How ironic that your name is Dawn. : ) On another sad note, my store will not put the new sales on the shelf, so I cannot score great deals. I.E the toothpaste deals. Boo!

i did this deal and got the (2) $3 RR plus some other coupons for Kotex, Poise, and Natures Bounty…yippee! Only bummer was the dish soap is $2.19 at my WAGS.

Reply

Christie September 11, 2011 at 4:03 pm

I got the $3/1 Poise which was funny! What does laundry detergent have to do with Poise, I’m not really sure. 😉

Reply

JimnBeth Goff September 11, 2011 at 5:43 pm

Umm, maybe the fact that if you need Poise, you might also need to be doing some extra washing? 😉 Just a thought! lol

Reply

Denise September 11, 2011 at 9:48 pm

I went to Shoprite the other day and got a catalina for a FREE Poise. Technically, Poise is for bladder leakage and is just like a maxi pad. Next time I go to Shoprite I will get it. Hey, its FREE !

Reply

deanna September 12, 2011 at 7:41 am

I’ve gotten the Poise catalina coupon a lot recently from krogers, harris teeter, and wags, lol. But they do make a liner product and the small one was $2.49 at krogers, the next size was $3.45. So free/cheap liners! No complaints, lol!

Reply

Karen September 11, 2011 at 6:55 pm

The Gain dish soap was 1.79 at one Walgreen’s I went to and 1.99 at another. I’m glad it wasn’t 2.19 like dluvsfreebies store. It’s weird that stores within a couple miles are priced so differently.

Reply

Tomeka September 11, 2011 at 3:58 pm

I have the $1.00 off one gain detergent has laundry detergent pictured but I always use these on the small dish detergent I plan on using these they were from the 8-14 RP

Reply

so how many transactions do you need? two?

Reply

mary September 11, 2011 at 4:22 pm

could you break it down into transactions so i know for sure 🙂 ty!!

Reply

Kelly B September 11, 2011 at 4:34 pm

Speaking of poise, last week a catalina for a free poise product up to $6 printed for me! I dont know what EXACTLY triggered it, I bought 2 Mead Five Star 1.5″ binders, and 7 Vicks cough drops.

My Wags doesnt carry the 30 load Gain powder detergent, so I couldnt do this deal. They only have a 40-some load powder Gain which was not on sale, it was $10.99, I had a cashier verify the price.

Reply

JimnBeth Goff September 11, 2011 at 5:45 pm

Probably the cough drops – you know, cough, cough, oops! lol Okay, I’m having fun figuring out reasons why they would trigger Poise! 😀

Reply

Valencia September 11, 2011 at 6:19 pm

Reply

Well I take that back, I could have done the deal with the liquid detergent, but as I mentioned earlier my laundry stockpile is pretty full.

Reply

Debra September 12, 2011 at 1:22 pm

Me too! I am way overstocked on the hand detergent from the Dawn deals! I bought 3 Gain Clothes detergent ($15) and used 3 $1 off coupons, paid $12 -got $6 in RR! Thats $2 a bottle…a great deal in my book!

Reply

Wendy September 11, 2011 at 4:44 pm

Didn’t work for me! 🙁 I only got one $3 Gain printout, and my store doesn’t even carry the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner… Grrrrr!

Reply

Mindy September 11, 2011 at 4:53 pm

Uhhhh, I did this and got a $3RR and a $3 Catalina COUPON for Gain, NOT 2 Gain RR’s.

Reply

Christie September 11, 2011 at 5:39 pm

Mindy – You didn’t get the Green one that I post in the picture? If you did it’s not a coupon for Gain (although it would be easy to think so). It says “$3 off your next shopping order. Thank you from Gain”. In fact it says “not valid on P&G products” so you can’t even use it on Gain.

Reply

Mindy September 11, 2011 at 5:47 pm

I just checked again and you are correct. I apologize and thank you for your wonderful site and amazing deals. 🙂

Reply

Christie September 11, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Oh great – I’m just glad you got it and didn’t accidentally toss it or something. It’s funny looking so it’s totally easy to think it’s just a coupon. 🙂

Reply

Shelly September 11, 2011 at 6:33 pm

Ok, this deal really just frustrated me. I tried it at one wags with the liquid and only got the bonus RR and gain was $1.99. So I went back to the detergents to check to make sure I bought the right thing and thought I did. I did use a RR from crest for the purchase??

Anyways, then I tried it again at a different wags. I did the exact same transaction and got both RR. But at the next wags the gain was $2.19!

Reply

lindal5 September 11, 2011 at 9:24 pm

Gain and Crest are both P&G products. If you used a Crest RR to pay for the Gain, then that might be why the 2nd RR didn’t print out.

Reply

K September 12, 2011 at 12:26 pm

I void my earlier comment, this is why mine didn’t print probably. Crud, this is why I avoid Walgreen’s unless its free… have to find cheap useful or donatable fillers, can’t use a rr from same company to pay, etc. Not to be a debbie downer but it’s so frustrating to a new couponer. Also, those who have clearly figured out the system usually shelf clear the two stores near me by Sunday after church. 🙁 I’m going to try again, perhaps someday I can figure it out at Wags like CVS and RA!

Reply

Kerri C September 11, 2011 at 4:55 pm

Yeeppiieeee!!! Thanks for this tip, I was so excited and this worked perfectly for me, I got 1 oral b battery tb, 3 downy, 3 gain liquid, 2 gain dish, used 1-$3/1 Oral B, 3-$2/1 Gain, 2- $.50/1 Gain, 1-1.50/2 downy & 1 $2 RR colgate paid $23 w/o tax got back $10 RR, $3 RR Gain & $3 RR Gain WOW!!! $.77 each if my math is right : ) Your the BEST!!!

Reply

Kerri C September 11, 2011 at 4:56 pm

correction it is a $3 Catalina but either way all Smiles Here

Reply

My WAG Gain is at regular price. Not $5 🙁 Just ran over there but cant work out a deal. 🙁

Reply

Christie September 11, 2011 at 5:36 pm

It’s not in your ad on the back page for $5? 🙁

Reply

Kelly B September 11, 2011 at 7:37 pm

Christie, the powder gain at my Wags wasnt on sale either. They only stock the 40 load size ($10.99) and on the back of the ad it says Gain, 24 – 32 loads.

Reply

Bridget September 11, 2011 at 6:50 pm

My walgreens had the Gain Laundry powder at the regular price. 🙁 of course that’s the one I wanted!

Reply

laureen September 12, 2011 at 4:38 am

last time they did the $30 PG all the gain was sold out. Turns out they replaced it with a smaller size (the 30 load). well at my store.

It worked for me but gain dish is1.99. Still happy! I use the lavender sent to refill my lysol hand soap automatic dispenser. Tri ky to pry cap off but works great!

Reply

Judy September 11, 2011 at 5:54 pm

I refill the Lysol automatic soap dispenser too. I drill a 1/4 inch hole in the top, fill with a funnel, put duct tape over the hole, and it’s ready to go back in the dispenser!

Reply

TJ September 11, 2011 at 9:28 pm

Judy,
Instead of drilling a hole on top, flip it over and insert the tip of a plastic ketchup bottle pre-filled with soap into the small existing hole. Once the tip is inserted, squeeze the liquid soap into the container.

Reply

Elizabeth September 12, 2011 at 10:42 am

You can also just pop it off and fill it. I saw many youtube videos. Im glad I did not drill a hole.

Reply

Jenn September 11, 2011 at 5:57 pm

I just got mine. It was the last one on the shelf although I think there probably wasnt much stock to begin with. My dish soap was 1.99 also and the Gain was $5. I got two .09 cent pencils as fillers because I wanted to use a $3 and $2 RR. I paid $1.26 after coupons and got back $3 Gain Catalina/RR and a $3 Gain RR. wahoo! I love Gain products. Thanks so much!

Boy this is why I dislike the test market (richmond,va) we got the points for the spend 30 get 10 RR instead. Oh the points stink. Maybe the buy 3 gain will work though? anybody test this who is in the test market. Buy 1 Gain powder and 2 dish liquid?

Reply

Ginger September 11, 2011 at 6:25 pm

i got this earlier and couldnt wait to get online and see if it was working for others.. extra bonus, for some reason the 10rr didnt print so they rang it up as a void sale to get it to print, generating yet another set of gain rr’s which my wonderful cashier went ahead and gave it to me! so I paid 15 OOP for my P&G deal and got back 22 in RR! WOHOO!!! Free stuff yay! one of my best trips ever!

Reply

Lily September 11, 2011 at 6:33 pm

Didnt have Gain det. at my place. Gain dishwash was 2.19. :\

Reply

Shari September 11, 2011 at 7:33 pm

I only got the bonus green $3. 🙁 My dish soap was $2.29 and I used the $3 RR from the crest toothpaste deal. Would that have caused me not to get the red $3 RR?

I’m in Orlando, FL.

Reply

Christie September 11, 2011 at 7:51 pm

Shari – very possibly. Because they are both $3 and they are both P&G. 🙁

Reply

Shari September 11, 2011 at 8:07 pm

Oh wow, I didn’t even think of that. I’ll try again at another Wags, hopefully the dish washing liquid will be cheaper there.

Reply

Amanda September 11, 2011 at 7:51 pm

I didnt get it either and I didn’t use any RR to pay for it. Weird!

Reply

Amanda September 11, 2011 at 7:51 pm

I only got one $3 RR :0( However, I bought it along with the Crest toothpaste with a $2/1 coupon so my overage helped pay for it. In the end, I only paid $1.40 in tax for all of it. Not too shabby!

Reply

cathy September 11, 2011 at 8:10 pm

Thanks for the tip Christy!!! 🙂 I got mine…

Reply

angela September 11, 2011 at 8:30 pm

My store ad did not include the powder and I had them price check the only powder they had (40 load) and it was $9.99. However they did take the powder coupon for the liquid thankfully cause that is all I had on me!

Reply

Laura September 11, 2011 at 8:43 pm

I have another scenario for you! I read your posts on my cellphone after I did the deal to get the $10 Register Rewards and $3 and $3 on the gain. This worked fine in Des Moines, IA, but the Gain Dish soap is not part of the $30 deal here, so I bought 2 more Dawn to get me over the $30.

I went back inside and bought 1 Gain Laundry for $5.00 and 1 Gain dishsoap for $1.79 (I missed you bought 2). I got a $2 RR and then the green Gain reward for $2.

Reply

stacia September 11, 2011 at 8:44 pm

The powder wasn’t marked $5 at my store. It was marked 9.99 and I was almost scared to try it, but I did and it rang up $5!
Dish soap was 1.79

Reply

dana September 11, 2011 at 8:51 pm

So if you use a register reward that’s from crest on another PnG product…you wont get the promised RR? What about for colgate? I want to do this deal asap haha…there are 4 WAGS with in 5-10 mins drive of me and if I wait til the end of the week to do a deal, the shelves are wiped!

Reply

Betsy September 11, 2011 at 11:31 pm

Colgate is a Colgate-Palmolive product, so you should be able to use the RR for P&G products. You can use P&G RRs to get another P&G RR if it is a different amount, but it’s usually best to use an RR from another company to avoid problems.

Reply

Natasha September 11, 2011 at 9:13 pm

This worked great in NC Thanks for the info!!!

Reply

lindal5 September 11, 2011 at 9:29 pm

Has anyone just bought 2 of the Gain Dish Liquid (or 3)? I’m wondering if you get anything for just buying the dish soap, without the laundry detergent?

Reply

Maria O. September 11, 2011 at 10:55 pm

Hi Linda: For this deal You need to buy at least 1 gain detergent and 2 more gain products. HTH

Reply

Amy in Pcola September 11, 2011 at 9:43 pm

Still working in Pensacola, FL but stores don’t seem to carry the powder, but the liquid is still a good deal. Using RR’s from last week, I paid $2 OOP and got back 2 $3 RR’s. Thanks, Christie!

Reply

Sammy September 11, 2011 at 9:53 pm

Did everyone received the $2 off 1 tide/gain because I didn’t 🙁

Reply

Alisa September 11, 2011 at 9:56 pm

I got the coupon (Chicago, IL),but they didn’t carry the powder, and they only had 3 liquids. I’ll try another one 2morrow.

Reply

TJ September 11, 2011 at 10:08 pm

One way to check price and availability is to use the Web Pickup feature at Walgreens.com. You can just browse a particular store to check pricing.

For some reason, Gain powder does not show up after trying every Walgreens in town, but that may not mean they don’t have it. Of the dozen stores I checked, Gain dishwash soap is priced at $1.79, $1.99, and $2.19 depending on the store.

Reply

Guest September 12, 2011 at 10:25 am

That feature is only available in like two cities right now. So that won’t help the majority ;D

Reply

Alisa September 12, 2011 at 7:47 pm

yeah it’s 1.99 here in Chicago

Reply

Dawna M. September 11, 2011 at 10:11 pm

I bought 1 gain liquid laundry detergent and 2 dish soaps. It worked out just as stated. Plus I received a catalina for a free Poise item. LOL.

I didn’t get the $2/1 Gain coupon, nor do I have the .50/1 one. Very frustrating. Need to move, I suppose….

Reply

Jennifer September 11, 2011 at 10:59 pm

I bought 3 liquid gains and 2 gain detergents and I got both of the $3 RRs and I bought some dawn and Tide stain release to get the $10 RR from P&G with it. I used a colgate RR and some other one to pay for it.

I was curious about the Crest Complete 2/$5 deal at walgreens. I got a $2 coupon off crest complete from the smartsource coupon booklet. I’m suspecting a great moneymaker here.

2 Crest Complete – Deep Clean for $5
2x$2 off coupons = 2/$1
$3 RR = $2.00 moneymaker?

The Smartsource coupon is from today’s 9/11 newspaper (the one with the dish network ad on the front with a yellow title bar)

Hello there! I live in Austin.

Where did you find the 30 load powder soap at? I have been searching for it.

I have not tried it today to see if if works.

hi anna,
wags off braker lane and metric blvd carries the 30 load powder, I think the one off south lamar does too! If they ran out have them write a rain check with the sale prices and rr taken into account, if they don’t have any now they will for sure after the sale ends.
good luck!

I guess I was a day late and a dollar($3)short. I had planned to go yesterday, but my Hubby called and took me to lunch. I did the deal in Lake City,FL between 1:00 and 1:30 and only got one $3RR, but the catalina machine spit out a bunch of Catalina Q’s for other products. I know I got a $2 off Listerine and some others, but can’t recall what they were. The Cashier and the lady behind me was amazed at how many coupons were printing out b/c I only puchased the liquid Gain and 2 Gain Dish Detergents. I may still go back an do the P&G Deal, but I was hoping to get my Gain products for .19 ea instead of $1.19. I did not have the $2 Gain Q.

I did this on Sunday night and did two transactions…the first one it didn’t give me 2 $3 RR but the second one it did. Is there anything I can do or did I just lose out on RR? I thought it might have been because I use a P&G RR on the first transaction but I used one on the second transaction and it still worked?

Well, it might be too late in the game for anyone to see this post but I was wondering if anyone from my state tried this deal in NJ?
