Christie, How do you know what deals are coming? Do you work for Walgreens or do they release some info to you to alert/tease us?

I understand the whole RR thing but what gets me is how people say they get it for $0.50 or money maker. You can only get RR for next purchase correct? So how do people post things are cheap or money makers if they have to pay out of pocket the first time? Thank you.

Well this is an example next week the carmex lipbalm will b on sale for 1.50 buy one n u will get $1.50 RR back …use the $.50cents coupon pay only $1.00 dollar n get $1.50 . $.50 money maker!! N u don’t have to wait to use ur RRs u can buy something else n pay with the rewards u just got that’s how u roll ur RRs n make money with them. With time u will learn to increase them every week n pay very little or nothing out of pocket! ! Good luck!!

It’s a money maker even if you pay out of pocket the first time because you got out more than you put in. In the beginning when I started couponing I had trouble making sense of this paradigm myself. If you’re only spending $1 and getting $1.50 back, you just made $.50 that you can apply to whatever you want- thus, $.50 money maker. The key to truly making it a useful moneymaker is to break up your transactions to allow it to go to good use. For example, I’m going to use this $1.50 RR to get some skintimate shave cream for $.99 (using the Wags $1.99 in ad coupon with the $1 off IP from a few weeks ago) and I’m all out of envelopes and since I don’t have coupons for envelopes- this is a great way to still get a discount, so I’ll be getting the $.69 mead envelopes (using the Wags in-ad Q) and the $1.50 RR to bring my total down, and no need for filler because the mead envelopes have no MQ. My total OOP should be around $.18 plus tax. This $.50 made it to where I didn’t have to pay OOP on that shave cream, and got a discount on the envelopes. Without the RR, I would have paid $1.68 OOP… much more than that $1 for the carmex plus the $.18 for the second transaction. I apologize if that seemed confusing, but I assure you it’s a money maker if you make it work for you. Obviously you can also apply it to other items, but this is just my personal shopping trip to get what I actually needed.

Omg! Thank you! I was convinced that the RR you get on a certain item could only be used on that same exact item the next time! Makes sense now! THANKS!!

HI SHANA!! one more thing, make sure u DO NOT use the a RR to buy the same product or another RR won’t print! Example buy shampo x get 3 RR if u want to buy more than one don’t buy them together if u do only oneRR will print instead find something else for about the same value nail polish get 3RR n use da nail polish to buy shampoo n then use the RR from shampoo to buy nail polish…..remember that if u r using one coupon n one RR to pay for one product u will a filler item because at wags u can’t have more coupons or RRs than items in a transaction.hope that helps a little bit!
