Ivory Bar Soap Just $.13 a Bar!

by Christie Bisbee on August 16, 2011

Some of you had a wrap around your Walgreens ad, with various deals including a B1G1 FREE sale for Ivory soap 3pks. Not all areas received this additional insert however if you did you can get a nice deal on Ivory! Parts of Florida did get this ad.

If you didn’t get this in your ad or aren’t sure if you did, you can always do a price check at the store.

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (2) Ivory Soap 3pks $1.79 B1G1 FREE
-$1/2 Ivory Body Wash or Bar or Safeguard Bar or Liquid Hand Soap, any 07-31-11 PG x8/31
Total = $.40 EACH!

That comes out to be just $.13 a bar!

I too got a wrap around but it didn’t include the ivory deal, I tried the price check at my Wags (Chicagoland area) and there was no B1G1 deal. It was worth a try though!

I looked in my P&G and its only $.50 cents off of one ivory. Am I missing something here?

$.50 off one will work out the same as $1/2. Just use (2) of them.

$1.79 – (2) $.50 coupons = $.40 each 3pk or about $.13 a bar.

Not sure how that would work with the two .50/1 coupons on this deal. My Walgreens (in San Francisco, CA) told me I could not use 2 Q’s on a B1G1 free item. Had 2 items that were part of a Buy One Get One Free deal (it was actually Hefty bags), and used two $1/1 coupons (one for each item). Mgr said that was not allowed and register would only accept 1 coupon, the one for the item I actually “bought”…is that a new policy? Is this mgr incorrect? Or am I incorrect in interpreting the policy?

I just wanted to let you know that I finally got a response from Walgreens regarding the cottonelle deal from July 31st. I had to call three times and they said they were still working on it and someone would contact me and today the store manager finally did. He was very nice and said that corporate had changed the coupons in the monthly books that start with 5000 to manufacturer coupons and those that start with 2000 were considered walgreens coupons. I was very nice and did ask him about the current cottonelle deal in their ad indicating stacking a booklet coupon with a manufacturer coupon from a newspaper and he said it was a misprint and they shouldn’t have advertised it that way but that he would honor the deal since it was in the ad. He also said he had called corporate complaining about the new policy and that he didn’t think it was fair. I thanked him for his time and that’s where it stands for now I guess. I’d really appreciate it if you would let me know if you have heard anything different from what I did. Thank you for corporates phone number.
