*HOT* Crest Money Maker!

by Christie Bisbee on July 24, 2011

MONEY MAKER ALERT! There is a super overlap on the Crest this week.

There’s a Catalina deal at various stores like Kroger for $2 WYB $6+ on Crest products valid 7/17 – 7/31. Guess what, it’s printing at Walgreens which means the Crest deal is even better this week (happy dance)!

In order to hit the $6 mark you’ll have to buy (3) of the Crest products. I tested it this morning and the Crest Pro-Health For Me is working for this deal. There were no signs up but it did work. Here are two possible scenarios for you…

Buy (3) Crest Pro-Health For Me 2/$4.98
Total = $7.47
(3) -$1/1 Crest Pro-Health For Me Toothpaste, any – 06-05-11 PG x7/31
Total = $4.47, Get Back $3 Register Reward & $2 Register Reward
= $.53 MONEY MAKER!

Buy (3) Crest 3D White or Pro-Health Toothpaste 4 or 4.2 oz 2/$4.98
Total = $7.47
(3) -$.75/1 Crest Toothpastes, any 4.0 oz+ – 06-05-11 or 07-03-11 PG x7/31
Total = $5.22, Get Back $3 Register Reward & $2 Register Reward
= $.07 EACH!

how do u get register rewards if u have never started it/them? is it on a card? are they free at the register?

plz respond
thanks

Register Rewards print out at the register at the time of purchase, so you will pay for the item(s) and the Register Rewards can be used on your next purchase. The Register Rewards expire, usually within 2 weeks so watch the expiration dates! And yes, RR are free. 🙂

Jennifer July 24, 2011 at 11:45 am

When you purchase the items for the Register Reward they automatically print out of the catalina machine by the register.

Mama Swears July 24, 2011 at 11:45 am

Hi Lucy–they print from a machine next to a register after you buy something that gives register rewards. Hope that helps.

Mama Swears July 24, 2011 at 11:46 am

Oops–no card is needed like at CVS. 🙂

RR are @ Walgreens, not Krogers (they’re not in Hawaii either)

I got it here in TX and we don’t have Kroger in my area 🙂

Just a heads up – the RR were printing for me but the pricing was ALL wrong. I was at the Wags in Austin, TX – and the toothpastes (Crest Pro-Health Sensitive specifically) were ringing up at $4 each! I see a Wags return in my future!

Reply

Anna July 25, 2011 at 12:59 pm

oh no! I live in Austin and was so ready to go and do this deal, but not at $4 per toothpaste.

Reply

Anna July 25, 2011 at 1:08 pm

ok, well maybe. So here in Austin we can buy two would be $8 and then after RRs and coupons comes out to $1 so not too bad, not free, but not too bad.

Reply

Christina July 30, 2011 at 2:00 am

they were 4.00 here in ft worth, tx but in the ad they are supposed to be 2.49 each!

Reply

Lei July 24, 2011 at 1:24 pm

The Crest toothpaste/Oral B deals are 2/$6 in Hawaii! >:[ Aaaaarrrgghhh!!!

Reply

kim July 24, 2011 at 1:25 pm

Have the Crest Q 2/$1 and want pair the 1/$1 of Crest for me will I still get the $3 & $2 RR are do I have to buy 3 of the same product

Reply

Kate July 24, 2011 at 2:09 pm

bummer….I JUST got back from wags to get the 3D toothpaste and bought them 2 at a time. Still a good deal at $.25 each…but $.07 is always better 🙂

Reply

Alison July 24, 2011 at 2:13 pm

So buying quantity 3 in this instance is okay? I know the price is 2/$4.98, and typically you’d have to buy 4 to get the listed sale price. Thanks!

Reply

Anna M July 24, 2011 at 11:54 pm

If you Buy 3 it will end up being $4.98 for 2 and 2.79 for the third. So the total is $7.77. So this math is slightly off. But it still ends up being .17cents. Best price for this stuff!

Reply

Christie July 25, 2011 at 2:04 am

Hi Anna – Actually I pulled it right off of my receipt and how I wrote it is exactly how it rang up. Take a look at your receipt and let me know.

Reply

Anna m July 25, 2011 at 9:19 am

My apologies, and that’s amazing! I will be going back to try this

Reply

Christie July 26, 2011 at 12:14 am

No problem, it’s totally strange how they have them ringing up but that’s how they did it. Hope it works for you. 🙂

Reply

Jackie July 24, 2011 at 2:36 pm

It does say in the ad that the price is 2/$4.98 or $2.79 each. So you would probably end up with either a $.23 mm after the rr or $.17 each after the rr. Still a good deal though.

Is the Pro-Health for me for sure on sale?

Reply

Betty July 24, 2011 at 2:56 pm

Yes! I got some ProHealth for Me this morning!

Reply

Barb J July 25, 2011 at 9:27 am

It does work for the Pro Health for Me. Sadly I wasn’t able to get 3 for the extra RR. If you get the milk for $3.29 make sure it rings up that way. Mine rang up at 3.99 but the manager was very friendly and refunded the difference.

Reply

Mandy July 24, 2011 at 3:11 pm

So you purchase all 6 toothpastes in one transaction??

Reply

Dana July 24, 2011 at 4:06 pm

Fyi, I was having a hard time finding these, and 3 to boot. Coupons and rrs work on the kids

Reply

Joelle July 24, 2011 at 4:07 pm

I just got back from Wags… I got the 3D white toothpaste and got the extra $2 RR … sadly no ProHealth for Me at my Wags 🙁

Reply

SANDRA July 24, 2011 at 4:10 pm

If you have a shaws you can get an even better deal. 75 cent coupon doubles and they are 1.50 each. For every 2 you buy you get 1 dollar back. 1 dollar moneymaker

Reply

Dana July 24, 2011 at 4:19 pm

FYI, I had the hardest time finding 3 pro health for me, but snagged 3 kids version and got both RR’s. Yay! Thx foe the heads up!

on this deal, am i allowed to get 2 of the “for me” toothpastes with the $1 off and one of the prohealth with a $.75 and stillget all of the rewards???

Reply

Jennifer July 24, 2011 at 7:40 pm

I bought 2 crest pro health gum defense at 2/$8. Received 2 $3 RR from P&G and 1 $2 RR from crest. Not a money maker but better deal than I expected especially since I couldn’t find the pro health for me.

Reply

Lauri July 24, 2011 at 8:09 pm

I’m so glad I saw your post before heading to Walgreens this morning. I bought 3 Pro Health for Me and received a $2.00 RR & $3.00 RR! Love free stuff+!

Reply

Jessica July 24, 2011 at 9:20 pm

I didnt get to try this, but the customer next to me tried it and it worked. Bought 2 crest tooth paste for $6 (thats the price in hawaii), used 2 .75 off coupons, and got back $2 & $3 rr.

Reply

Crystal July 24, 2011 at 10:21 pm

It works on all of the Crest toothpastes that are on sale this week. All you have to do is buy $6.00 worth. With the 75 cent off coupons it will be 22 cents for all 3.

Reply

Indya July 24, 2011 at 10:40 pm

My total came to $3.19 and the cashier wouldn’t let me use my $3.00 RR. She said the computer won’t let her cash out something for 19 cents… (sideface). It was a nightmare, there was only one register open and I had 3 transactions. Good deals anyway, now I know how register rewards work

Reply

Dawn July 24, 2011 at 10:42 pm

So terribly confused, please help, how do you get 2 RR on the crest? I have 2 prohealth for me coupons and would love to do this if the price is right. Please explain. I understand the $3 one that is advertised, but where is the $2 one coming in?

Reply

Brenda July 25, 2011 at 6:00 am

@Dawn
It is a confusing deal! There are two seperate crest RR deals going on right now. The one that is advertised in the weekly ad requires you to purchase two products (toothpaste or toothbrushes) and receive a $3 RR. There also is a crest deal where you will receive a $2 RR when you purchase $6 or more (before coupons!). So, if you purchase 3 toothpastes for $7.47 (before coupons), you will receive a $3 RR and a $2 RR. Hope this makes it a little clearer for you! Also, I wouldn’t wait to do this deal because the prohealth for me toothpaste is disappearing fast!

So for the Oral-B Toothbrush can I use the B1G1F coupons?

Reply

Shavon July 25, 2011 at 9:47 am

Mine worked!!!!!! I got a $3 from Crest and a $2 from P&G… I was lucky the only thing left in my store was the 3D…..(worked in arkansas)

Susan S. July 25, 2011 at 2:08 pm

Worked in Las Vegas on Mon. morning! Bought 2 Crest Pro Health for Me @ $4.98 for both and 1 Crest Pro Health Whitening @ $2.49. Used 2 $1/1 & 1 $.75/1.
Rec’d 1 $2 RR and 1 $3 RR.

Only 2 boxes of the Pro Health for Me on the shelves so couldn’t get 3 like I would have preferred (to stock up on toothpaste for the kiddos – have plenty for adults 😉 ).

However, the Pro Health for Me products are all on clearance at one of my local CVS’s so I wonder if Crest is discontinuing this product line or just changing packaging???

Reply

Kama July 25, 2011 at 3:54 pm

Susan S. – thanks for the tip. My store didn’t have the ProHealth for Me just the ProHealt. I did the regular transaction yesterday (boo on the missed RR) with the 3D Q’s but I went back today to do the extra 3rd tube and got both RR’s. Yea! I am going to another Wags in town to see if they have the ProHealth for ME there and I will be sure to check the clearance. I only have ProHealth for Me Qs left to use and don’t want to waste them with these great extra RR’s.

Reply

shelly July 26, 2011 at 7:28 am

I had to return something and the total for the item returned was more than the total I payed out of pocket on the entire transaction beacause I used RR, the manger wouldn’t let me return the item because he said I would be making money. Has anyone had this problem? Or is the manager correct?

Reply

Christie July 26, 2011 at 9:25 pm

No you can return it – guess what…? They already sent off your coupon and your RR to be redeemed so if they don’t give it back to you it’s like they are getting reimbursed for something that they didn’t sell. Call corporate!

Reply

shelly July 27, 2011 at 9:05 am

I will call corporate about this, Thanks! Has anyone tryed calling corporate in the store about an issue and if so was the issue resolved immediately?

Reply

joanne July 27, 2011 at 3:48 pm

RR have “Register rewards must be forfeited if qualifying merchandise is returned.”
I once tried to return a wrong item and the mgr only wanted to give me .15 cents back (cash amount for total transaction after RR’s) for a $3item and when I called customer service they told me to review the RR and what they state about being forfeited.
So I got stuck with an unwanted item vs .15cents.

Reply

Candy July 27, 2011 at 1:30 am

I was told the same thing at one of my wags and different at another.

Reply

christa July 26, 2011 at 2:26 pm

serious bummer…my p&g did NOT have the $1 coupon in it….

Reply

Andrea July 26, 2011 at 9:45 pm

my total for the toothpaste (got two pro health and one 3d) was $6.50 after coupons. .50 per tube after the RRs, I usually dont pay over .25 for a tube but I am too tired to go return them, not worth the hassle.

This was a FANTASTIC money maker today!!!
I got 9 Crest 3d’s (they were out of the regular one, so they price matched the premium ones!!!)! I got $15 back in RR’s and then, with the toothbrushes, I got $18 Back! I used coupons for everything (out of P&G inserts) ~ Spent $30 out of pocket, $30 back in RR’s!! AWESOME ! thanks so much for posting this!! I would have never known about it!

Candy July 27, 2011 at 1:32 am

So for the additional rr can u buy 2 toothpaste and one toothbrush? Or does it have to be all 3 toothpaste? Sorry if I’m repeating a ? I looked and didn’t see it yet. lol

I think it’s THREE toothpastes. Not sure about the toothbrushes…….They are so cheap, I should have tried that. But I have no more BoGo q’s………..

Here in TX, I bought 3 Pro Health toothpastes and they rang up as sale ([email protected] or 2/8.00) for a 12.00 total. I used 3 1.00 coupons to bring it down to 9.00 and received $8 in RR, no catalinas. Got two $3 from P&G and one $2 RR from Crest.

The tubes rang up 4.00 each so I went back and the mgr said that was correct since I got the RR. Even though I got 3 tubes for 1.00 after coupons and RR, I feel like the pricing was wrong. I can’t complain but in their ad, the price is 2/4.98. Are all walgreens different in term of sale prices even though the ads are all the same? Should I take my receipt to another walgreens?
